"Sorry about last time again, Issei. Kala and I stayed behind to clean up your house after you left," Raynare explained, a touch of remorse in her voice.

Issei nodded appreciatively. "I noticed that. Thanks for being considerate. So, what brings the three of you here today? I hope it's just for a friendly visit," he asked, hoping for a reprieve from the constant chaos that seemed to follow him.

Raynare exchanged a meaningful glance with Kalawarner before the latter began to explain their purpose. "Well, Raynare and I haven't heard from you in a while, especially since you took care of that Freed Sellzen guy. We found out you dispatched him quite brutally, using your dragonfire, if the rumors are to be believed. It has raised some concerns, particularly from Kokabiel. He sees you as a threat, especially since he believes you're in league with the devils," Kalawarner revealed, her expression serious.

Issei let out a heavy sigh, his frustration evident. "Why am I not surprised? It seems like trouble follows me wherever I go."

Xenovia chimed in, her voice filled with admiration. "Issei crushed that rogue exorcist's Excalibur with his bare hands. Even high-ranking fallen angels like Kokabiel should fear him."

Issei couldn't help but roll his eyes internally at the praise. "I appreciate the hype, Xenovia, but I really don't need that kind of attention right now," he thought to himself, feeling overwhelmed by the weight of expectations.

Mittelt seemed genuinely perplexed. "He crushed an Excalibur barehanded? Issei can do that? Just how strong is this guy?"

Kalawarner's tone turned serious as she responded, "Very powerful. Issei has managed to instill fear in all the devils as well, based on what we've heard and witnessed."

"Yeah... we also heard about your involvement in the Rating Game for the Gremory family, Issei. Raynare couldn't help but wonder why you fought for her and how they managed to convince you to participate," Raynare inquired, her curiosity getting the better of her.

Issei let out a sigh, reflecting on his decision. "Well, I had to get Xenovia and Irina enrolled in school, and they kind of pressured me into it as a condition. Granted, it wasn't a huge deal since the opponent I faced, Riser Phenex, was the biggest scumbag devil I've ever encountered. It didn't take up too much of my time, so I guess it was manageable."

Kalawarner chimed in, her voice filled with awe. "We heard about it from some of our sources in the Underworld. She said you effortlessly demolished Riser Phenex and his entire devil peerage single-handedly. I always knew you were powerful, but that's on a whole different level for a half-dragon. I haven't seen the footage myself, but I can only imagine the intensity."

Raynare's expression briefly soured before she asked, "Did those devil women try to coerce you into their servitude groups?"

Issei shrugged, nonchalant about the proposition. "They offered, but I made it clear that I don't serve anyone. They've agreed to leave me alone for now, so we're on somewhat amicable terms."

Raynare's voice carried a hint of concern. "You can't trust devils, Issei. They are always seeking to deceive and manipulate. It's their nature. They may lure you with promises and make you believe they're trustworthy, but when you least expect it, they can strip away your freedom, your life, or even your soul."

Issei listened to her cautionary words, his expression contemplative. He understood the inherent risks involved in dealing with devils, but he also believed in giving individuals a chance to prove themselves. He knew that treading the line between trust and skepticism would be crucial in navigating the treacherous world he found himself in.

Issei couldn't help but roll his eyes at Raynare's dramatic tone. "Aren't you being a little overdramatic there, Raynare? Spare me the moral high ground speech. You're in no position to preach. I'm sure your kind is capable of the same deceit and manipulation. If I recall correctly, you were initially planning to deceive me until you realized I had power," he retorted, his tone laced with a hint of annoyance.

Raynare quickly defended herself. "But I didn't deceive you. I was honest with you," she pointed out.

Issei nodded, acknowledging her point. "And that's the only reason I didn't let Gremory kill you. Under different circumstances, who knows how things would have turned out. Look, Raynare, just because I'm maintaining civility with the devils in Kuoh doesn't mean I trust them completely. I find it's best to let people think they have the upper hand," he explained, his voice tinged with caution.

Raynare frowned, realizing the validity of his words. She nodded, conceding the argument. "I see. Well, just know that we'll gladly have your back if the devils try anything."

Kalawarner interjected, changing the subject. "There's something else, Issei. Remember how we mentioned that Lord Azazel wanted to meet you? Well, he was hoping you could meet him today. He didn't want to interfere with your school life and thought your day off would be a good time," she informed him.

Issei's frustration grew internally. 'Damn it! Why does this always happen when I'm trying to go see Red?! I don't care about this nonsense. The guy wants to meet me today? Ugh...' he groaned inwardly, feeling exasperated.

He sighed, his uneasiness evident. "How long would it take? I kind of had plans today..." Issei trailed off, hoping for a brief meeting.

Kalawarner reassured him. "Not long, Issei. Just a few minutes would suffice. Lord Azazel was hoping you could come to meet him, but if you're busy, we can arrange for him to be summoned here instead," she suggested, trying to accommodate his schedule.

Issei weighed his options, considering the importance of meeting with Lord Azazel and the impact it might have on his journey. Reluctantly, he made a decision.
