Before any more awkward conversations could arise, their meal was interrupted by the arrival of Sona, Rias, and several members of their respective peerage. Issei recognized Tsubaki, Tsubasa, Kiba, Koneko, and Akeno among them.

Sona approached Issei with a polite tone, "Sorry to bother you, Hyoudou-san, but we wanted to talk to you for a bit."

Issei raised an eyebrow, his playful nature surfacing. "Is that a request or a demand?" he quipped, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

Sona took a step closer, her expression softening with a sigh. "A request," she replied, her voice holding a hint of vulnerability. "I wouldn't make any demands of you, considering what you can do... and the fact that you're friends with my sister. You don't have to come, but I wanted to pass along some information to you firsthand."

Issei considered Sona's words for a moment before relenting. "Alright, fine. I'll catch up with you girls later," he said, waving to Irina and Xenovia as he departed with the devils. They wasted no time heading towards the student council room.

Irina and Xenovia exchanged concerned glances as they watched Issei leave. Xenovia's sharp observation skills didn't go unnoticed as she remarked, "I think they know we're not just regular humans."

Irina nodded, her gaze shifting towards the devils. "Yes, that blue-haired upperclassman was definitely giving you a funny look," she confirmed, her voice reflecting a mix of curiosity and caution.

The atmosphere inside the student council room remained tense as Issei took his seat, his eyes scanning the room curiously. It seemed that the devils had taken their positions, finding their own spots and settling down, creating an air of anticipation.

Finally, Sona broke the silence, her voice carrying a hint of apology. "Sorry for inconveniencing you like this, but we wanted to have a private conversation away from Tiamat-sama and your other friends. Rias also has a few words she would like to share with you."

Issei shifted his gaze towards Rias, waiting for her to speak. Their eyes briefly met before she began expressing her gratitude. "I never properly thanked you for helping us win. Despite your dislike for devils, Issei Hyoudou, you saved my life and my peerage during that Rating Game. You witnessed firsthand the kind of man Riser Phenex was, and I'm grateful that you put him in his place."

A mixture of surprise and gratitude flickered across Issei's face. "You're welcome, Princess," he replied, his voice filled with genuine sincerity. He wasn't quite sure how to respond to Rias' words, but he appreciated the acknowledgment.

Sona's serious tone then filled the room as she addressed Issei. "Listen, Hyoudou-san, while we have every intention of maintaining a civil relationship with you and leaving you alone, your recent display of power has caused concern among many in the Underworld. Some even called for intervention, fearing the implications of your presence near our territory. However, my sister vouched for you, speaking on your behalf to the nobility and the other Maou. She claimed you were her friend and that you could be trusted. I'm willing to accept her word, but I find it puzzling. What is my sister to you? Why are you close with her despite your dislike for devils? She even referred to you as her boyfriend. Could you shed some light on this?"

Issei's brows furrowed, attempting to find the right words to explain the situation without causing further misunderstandings or embarrassment. "I didn't even know she was your sister until she showed up after the Rating Game. We only met at the convention as she mentioned, and we hung out a few times. Honestly, I thought she was just a quirky human otaku. As for the whole boyfriend thing, I think she said it jokingly. We had only known each other for a few days, so I'm not sure where she got that idea," he replied, his voice tinged with a mix of confusion and awkwardness.

Sona's face turned a shade of red, a clear sign of her embarrassment. "I see…so you and my sister are just normal friends huh? That's extremely weird, but Serafall Onee-sama isn't like a typical devil so I suppose I could see why you might like her. I find your tolerance of her otaku persona to be a bit unusual, but to each their own I suppose," she said, trying to make sense of the situation.

Issei, feeling the tension in the room dissipate slightly, asked, "Okay…are we done here then?" The room fell into silence again, everyone seemingly lost in their own thoughts.

Sona sighed deeply before speaking again. "I just wanted you to know that we're not going to give you any trouble. My sister insisted on you not being a threat to us. With that being said however, the nobility is gravely concerned with that devil girl you and Tiamat-sama hang out with. Grayfia recently discovered who she was really is…her name is Vali Lucifer."

Issei stared blankly at her, not understanding why this was significant. "Yeah, and?" he asked.

"She's from the Old Satan Faction…they're not exactly friends with us if you catch my meaning. My family and Rias' family are all concerned about her unwarranted presence here. They find Tiamat-sama's friendship with her equally confusing. I'm just curious…do you actually know why either one of them are here? You said they were recruiting for something, right? I know I asked before, but we seriously need something to tell Sirzechs-sama or the Maou are going to enact and enforce more oversight at Kuoh," Sona explained, her tone serious.

As Issei revealed the true intentions behind Vali and Tiamat's search for the Red Dragon Emperor, a sense of surprise washed over the room. Rias, taken aback by the revelation, couldn't help but voice her astonishment. Her eyes widened as she asked, "You knew the Sekiryuutei?"

Issei nodded, his gaze focused on Rias. "Yeah, I used to know him. He was my mentor, my trainer," he replied, his voice laced with a mix of nostalgia and respect.
