Training Time: Hanabi and Laeticia

Training Dimension 2 (Hanabi's P.O.V)

Walking into the replica of the town they were currently staying at was kind of odd. She understood that this was supposed to be a separate dimension, but this was ridiculous.

Hanabi and Laeticia had decided to train together, so they could test some of their abilities in battle. They deemed it especially necessary after going through the changes following the pillar process. Artoria would be joining them after she was finished with her appointment with Sona and the avenger. Shaking her head, she couldn't help recall a certain raven haired boy he reminded her of.

She shook her head. 'Well, at least he isn't emo, just incredibly self destructive.'

She turned her head toward Laeticia.

"What do you think? Looks like it should work."

"Indeed. We can even practice our tactics for maneuvering through this town. We may not be participating in the defense, but that doesn't mean we can't watch the town for opportunists who want to try something during the scuffle." Laeticia said amicably. She was a little disappointed by not being able to attend, but she understood the rational. Deception can win many battles, even if its toward your own people. She understood that even better after hearing about the Biblical God being dead before her ancestor was even born.

"So what did you want to test first?" Hanabi asked. She was curious on the new abilities Laeticia would show."

"I want to start by testing my sacred flames. Before, they had a holy component to it, but I have to check now that we've become demons."

With that, Laeticia took out her silver sword. With a thought, it was engulfed in golden flames. Within moments, a wave of heat blasted in their faces. Clearly, the flames had gotten much hotter since the last time she had used them. They could also feel the sacred aura perfectly infused into the flames. What had once required her to use balance breaker to achieve, she could now do in her most basic state.

"Wow! That's hot. It actually reminds me of these flames another clan of our village used to be able to do. Those flames were said to be those of Amaterasu and could burn for seven days and seven nights." Hanabi exclaimed.

"Really? For a whole clan to be able to use flames at this level is more than a little terrifying." Laeticia replied a little disturbed. For a whole clan to possess flames like these in her village would be hard to fathom. If she remembered the stories Hanabi used to tell her correctly, then the clan was mostly wiped out.

'How had a clan like that been wiped out so easily. Even if were one of their own, it shouldn't have been possible.' Laeticia silently pondered.

"In any case, it looks like your flames are working well. Can you do any long range attacks with them? Hanabi wondered.

"I should be able to. I was before, but I didn't have enough energy to use those kinds of attacks very frequently. They're very wasteful when targeting someone at my level or greater. Considering the massive increase to our reserves, I should be able to do them better now." Laeticia said as she turned toward a tree in the distance and raised her sword.

Golden flames began to build on the sword and condense into a thin golden film covering the blade. Quickly, her sword was swung and a golden arc of light shot forth. In a flash, the tree and everything else in the path of the blade was cut down. The arc traveled to a mountain in the distance and exploded on contact. A large gash could be seen in the mountain and an ocean of golden flames burned the nearby forest.

"Wow…." Hanabi commented. "That's pretty terrifying. How much effort did you put into that one?

"Not much actually" Laeticia looked in horror. She needed to work on her control. She could cause a lot of collateral damage with this and that wasn't what she wanted. The only place she could fight currently without causing changes in the landscape would be the sin lands in the underworld where materials were naturally denser due to the dense ambient magical energies.

"Considering your caring personality, I'm guessing control will be your focus?" Hanabi asked with a teasing smile.

"Absolutely. I need to be able to use them on a smaller scale. At best, I can only use these flames at short range. I need to learn to control the output of those long-range ones. I'll leave trying out the balance breaker ability for later." Laeticia nodded, not minding the tease.

"Alright, my turn." Hanabi said as her white eyes turned a glowing blue with a white flower type design glowing where the pupil should be. Unlike her Byakugan, these eyes didn't cause any bulging in the veins leading to her eyes. "I remember one of the Otsutsuki on the moon using these eyes against Kaguya during the final years. He had gained them by stealing my father's Byakugan and implanting them. According to witnesses of the theft, he had been looking for me, but I was in another shelter at the time and he was in a rush. Despite all that though, he failed and died. One of the things I noticed about him was that he wasn't able to use his power to the same degree as her. Sure, she had another eye with other powers, but he leaked out chakra like a faucet. Everyone else on the same level did the same which appeared as some flashy cloak representing their enormous chakra; Kaguya didn't though. The only thing that changed about her when using enormous amounts of chakra was the waving of her hair and the opening of her third eye. I want to control my power like that by the time I face her. I need to at least contain my power like she did. She's in a full power state all the time and no one would even realize it."

"That would make sense. Wasting power in any capacity is sinful on the battlefield. Especially in a fight where beings of a similar level of power are our opponents, we can expect they'll likely have more experience than us. After all, it is not normal to gain power as quickly as we have. They would have normally spent decades, centuries, or even millennia getting to that level of power. We must relearn and master our fundamentals if we are to stand a chance." Laeticia said with a smile. "Speaking of, can I see this chakra cloak of yours? It sounds fascinating!" She asked with stars in her eyes.

Hanabi sighed. "Sure. Here I go." She said resigned. A moment later, she was engulfed in a cerulean chakra cloak which covered her from head to toe, her hair waving in a similar manner to Kaguya's.

"That's splendid!" Laeticia clapped her hands together and marveled at the sight.

Looking down at herself, Hanabi noticed the difference in color and noted its resemblance to the standard color of a certain demon goddess.

"Looks like our boss has had more of an influence on me than either of us expected." Hanabi concluded.

"Indeed. I wouldn't be surprised if she impacted my abilities as well; though if I had to guess, it would be my balance breaker. It used to have a heavy influence from the biblical god due to the collective devotion of both myself and my ancestor. Now that the loyalty has shifted, so will the influence. At least I think so."

Powering down, Hanabi noticed that her outfit had changed. She was wearing a sleeveless lavender kimono top with a white haori. The haori had a Tenseigan on the top of the back with three rows of tomoe under it. It honestly looked like a combination of her master's choice of clothing and her ancestor Hamura's from the clan records.

"I guess this is my equivalent to your silver armor Laeticia" Hanabi said with a chuckle.

"Looks like it. Now let's start the practice session in earnest. "Laeticia said, getting serious.

"Right!" Hanabi finished.

With this, both of them moved to different parts of the dimension and began practicing.
