003 Learning about Rical

"Why am I low class in all my stats, and what does Parasitic Hell Flame have to do with it?"

[The stats and the Parasitic Hell Flame all come down to one thing from Rical Phenex's past. I will not get too into Rical's past because once you receive his memories, you will learn all you need to. However, I will tell you about his past that will not be in his memories for various reasons.]

"That will help. Thank you." I say, not really bothered. Hoping that if there was anything important, he would tell me.

[You see, Rical was infected with a very rare demonic parasite just after birth. This specific parasite has only two abilities. Parasitic aura and Absolute Concealment. Pretty self-explanatory abilities except for a few kinks.]

"Can you treat me like a kid that doesn't know anything, please?

[Very well. If You insist.

Parasitic aura allowed the parasite to release an aura that drains its host of their stamina and magical energy, in Rical's case, demonic power. This usually results in the host dying in a year at most, due to Rical having the Phenex clan's immortality, allowing him to push through for 15 years and then spend the final remaining year of his life in a coma at a private Sitri Hospital.

Leaving him with a weak body and barely any demonic energy to speak off.]

"I'm starting to feel sorry for Rical's. Seems like he did not have the easy life expected of a devil noble."

[No. He certainly did not have an easy life. It was spent mocked, bedridden, and forgotten by the rest of his family. His only bright spot was his younger sister Ravel and his Mother, who cared and made sure he had everything he needed.]

"Well I'll have to take care of them in Ricals stead. And what about Absolute Concealment."

[Absolute Concealment is a conditional ability. The parasite could only use this ability once it has fused with a host, linking their lives together. Making it undetectable to any scan done with magic or machine, leading to the doctor blaming Ricals health problems on a rare blood disease.

Even after the victim's death, the parasite will not be found.]

"How was Rical affected with the parasite at the hospital in the first place. If this demonic parasite is as rare as you say. I highly doubt that such a rare parasite will be at a hospital where everything is disinfected daily."

[That is something you will have to find out for yourself.]

"So someone did this to him? This parasite sounds like the perfect assassination tool." So that means whoever this person is, they might still be after my life. And that the administrator will not tell me everything I might need to know.

[ If I make it too easy for you, certain people might get bored and stop watching you.]

"So I was given this chance so that I can be entertainment for you and other, I'm guessing, higher beings." I say more as a statement than a question. Once again, I don't really care, which I'm pretty sure is the administrators doing.

[Yes, Exactly. You see how this works. A sponsor (writer) supplies the energy (Time) to reincarnate you in a new multiverse with a golden finger of his design. We will get into that shortly. Other higher beings will rate and share your gameplay.]

"And what do the sponsors get out of this?" Thinking how bored these higher beings must be.

[The higher being, as you call them, receive entertainment, and the sponsor receives power stones that have multiple uses, including making the sponsor more powerful.]

"Okay, Last question on higher beings."

[Okay. shoot.]

"Is it possible for me to become a higher being?'

[Hahahahaa. We all ask this question when we start off on this road. The answer to your question is yes. Yes, you can become a higher being. All higher beings started off where you are now.]
