8 Chapter 8: Results and Decisions

After 3 days, Ajuka compiled and organized his tests and results. He then called the Gremory family over. As he was waiting for them to come over, he started to work on the evil pieces for Rahakki. He was planning to give them to Rahakki once he was able to move his body freely.

Just as he completed and set them aside, Rahakki came into the lab. Ajuka was surprised by the recovery speed of Rahakki. 

Rahakki came in for the storage seal with a [Recorder] he placed in Ajukas lab. Yes, he wanted to monitor the working of the lab and try to find the same equipment to create his own lab. He did not know this but he unknowingly recorded a secret meeting. And Ajuka and Gremorys did not know that they have exposed their own motives. They were relaxed as this was Ajukas lab and no one will be able place any recording devices here.

Rahakki created this recorder for his future training purpose. It was a combination for [Communication] Magic and [Illusion Magic] Magic, which he combined with his own blend of [Light] and [Storage] Magic. He combined all this by merging into a crystal slate that can emulate 2D and 3D videos. He is planning on using this for his future business in Underworld after further development.

But after coming into the Lab and meeting Ajuka was not in his plan. But he did not falter, He just went to ask Ajuka "Beelzebub-sama, can I access the library now? I am now completely okay and full of energy."

Ajuka just lightly chuckled and said, "Yes, you can. But before that wait here for a while, let me get the device to check if you are really okay."

As Ajuka moved to get the device, Rahakki, used this time to remove the Storage seal and take the [Recorder]. He is planning on seeing the contents later. When Ajuka came in, he just saw that Rahakki was wandering around the lab, looking at the devices.

After calling over Rahakki, he checked his body for any abnormalities. He was surprised o see that there are no issues and Infact his body got stronger even so slightly. He just thought that it was due to his demonic energy and left it at that.

He let Rahakki go to the library and went back to do his test with the new data regarding the kids' body. Infact, he found that the demonic energy reserve is in the verge of falling back to High-class Devil. So, he wanted to test how long it will take for his reserves to fall. While he was in the middle of his testing the Gremory family arrived.

"Ahh… I was just about to finish this test. Take a seat and go through the folder place on the table. I will back in few minutes for the explanation.", Ajuka said to them without turning his back. He was able to find out that Rahakki's demonic energy was not only restoring his body. It is also improving the endurance of the muscle fibres. Once the test was completed, he moved to the table for the briefing.

"So have you read the report?", Ajuka asked everyone.

"We did read them but can you explain it in simple terms so that we can understand clearly", Vanelena said on behalf of everyone.

"Okay let us start with the first with the demonic energy reserves. As per the preliminary finding I was able to conclude that the demonic energy is repairing his body. But the problem now is that his reserves are being devoured with a little time for recovery. If this continues, he will be left with only with bare minimum for survival." Ajuka explaining his first observation.

"So, once if it started to cease, he will only be able to recover the reserves after a very long time." Zeoticus asked.

"Yes, and he will only be able to train his body till then. He will not be able to use any spell."

After making sure everyone understands this point, Ajuka continues, "Next thing is that the corrosive energy was not removed from his body." This got a shocked reaction from everyone. Without letting them asking any questions he continued, "His demonic energy underwent some kind of mutation and sealed the energy deep withing his reserves. This is the only reason for the demonic energy to be present in his body. It did not draw any energy from his seal, it only draws from his reserves."

Vanelena interrupted hi by asking, "So, is there a way to stop his body from drawing energy from his reserves?"

Ajuka pause and thought for a moment and said, "I did not check that but it will take a long time of testing and experimenting to find that out. I will try but I give no assurance."

To this Vanelena nodded and let him continue, "I tried to replicate his mutation but it did not give any results and I wanted to inform you that I tried to experiment with holy energy in his body to see if his demonic energy can replicate the same as it did for the corrosive energy. But the holy energy acted the same as it did for all the devils."

Ajuka paused to see their reactions, they were stunned but after a few moments concentrated on his explanation. Ajuka understood that Rahakki is just a valuable pawn for now. Not an important family member. So, he continued,

"We might need few more months of observation and testing for finding a solution to stop his usage of reserves and replicating the mutation that took place in his body. If we were able to stop the body from drawing on his reserves and did not manage to find a replication of the mutation and seal, we might not have any way to stop the corrosive energy from going on a rampage in and out of his body."

"Other use is that if we are able to find a way to replicate the mutation and seal, we might find a way to counteract holy energy. We might not be able to find a permanent solution but atleast we might find a way to reduce the damage done by the holy energy by modifying the mutation to holy energy."

"But the main problem is we need to test the seal directly but if something happens to the seal, we might have a big problem in our hand than what we hoped to find."

Everyone took in the explanation and digested for few moments, then Grayfia asked, "Beelzebub-sama, we can have the demonic energy issue discussed later, but can he awaken his bloodline?"

Gremorys were concerned about this too. So, everyone turned to Ajuka for answers. 

"Like I said his body is getting repaired. Not only that, his demonic energy is mutating in a rapid pace and it also gets devoured on the side. So, as per my calculation, there is 6 months more for his demonic energy to repair his body. I will need to have the same tests done after 6 months to give you a conclusive answer. It is also the time to check if the demonic energy stops getting devoured." Ajuka answered.

So, everyone took in all these information from the answers and started to contemplate what to do next.

"From what you are saying we might have a great treasure but also a greater calamity along with it. But in a broken body that may or may not awaken its bloodline. And is also losing demonic energy till it is unusable for the body even if he awakens his bloodline. Did I summarize this correctly?", Sirzechs asked Ajuka.

To which Ajuka answered in a curt nod.

"So, all we have to decide is how to proceed further.", Vanelena stated.

"Yes, and it looks like everyone has come to the same conclusion?", Zeoticus asked.

Vanelena nodded and stated, "We will start by assigning a caretaker in the name of his trainer for the next year. If the results of the tests which will be done after 6 months were positive, we will start by announcing about him to the underworld and will provide him with a good trainer. If he asks later why the trainer was changed, we can always say that the previous trainer is for developing his foundation."

Ajuka interjected, "Is it good for discussing the issue here? I mean, is it good for me to hear this?"

Sirzechs replied, "Come on, your practically family. You always include us in your decisions so it is basically an open secret between us. If Serafall and Falbium were here, I would do the same. They would do the same. Now that I mention this, we have to inform them to about this issue too."

Zeoticus the stated that, "Anyway, back to the topic, we have to prepare things in the southern territory. Atleast, we have to him the basic needs for his growth till he is an adult and have the capability to handle himself. Even if we send him there, he is of my blood, so we have to provide him with a trusted caretaker and proper tools for survival."

Grayfia stated, "Leave it to me. I will make proper arrangements. Otou-sama."

Vanelena advised, "Make a foolproof contract with the devil with 2 main conditions. He/she has to take care of Rahakki till he is an adult and all the resources provided to Rahakki will only be used on Rahakki. There should be no embezzlement of resources by the caretaker. He/she should not use it for himself/herself. Nobody should know about this ever. He/she should maintain this secret. He/she should not mention this to anyone any form either verbal, writhing, telepathy, hinting or providing clues. If he/she should break any of these clauses, we will be notified and the caretaker's body will die." 

"Understood Okaa-sama.", Grayfia noted down these points and replied.

"Also make sure the contract is signed with you and Sirzechs so that anyone of you should be able to arrive on the place if a clause gets broken. And Ajuka, what about the evil pieces, are you still planning on giving him?" Zeoticus pitched in.

"Yes, I can observe the evil pieces and how they change or if they will change. Even if the evil pieces are unusable or destroyed, it is not much of a loss.", Ajuka concluded.

"That's good. It will atleast give us a edge if a we want to get him back. By the way, Grayfia, select a Mid-class devil and before signing the contract, contact Serafall to go through, so not to miss any loop holes. We have 6 months to get this all done, so take you time. No need rush and tire yourself." Sirzechs stated to Grayfia.

"Understood, Lucifer-sama.", Grayfia replied.

"Awww, come on, I'm your husband and we are within family. Can you be less formal with me, atleast when we are with family?", Sirzechs complained with a tearful face. Everyone started to chuckle.

"Proper etiquette should be maintained at all times, LUCIFER-SAMA.", Grayfia retorted back, which earned a louder laugh form others heavy tear from Sirzechs. The mood got less tense and everyone stated to chat happily.

"And Ajuka, when are you going to give him his evil pieses?" Vanelena asked.

"He is in good shape and I just finished checking him. You can take him home today. So, I was thinking of giving it to him in your presence. Atleast it will give him good memories if he was to be shipped out to the southern Territory." Ajuka informed them.

Once he spoke about the memories, Zeoticus said "No, he will not remember anything. We will erase his memory when we send him off to the southern territory. It will make complication if he were to get out in the future."

This stunned Ajuka, but everyone else was showing that this was how it meant to be. He never thought that the Kind Gremory family will have such a cruel side. Even he himself allowed his offsprings to have their childhood memories. He can only feel sorry for the kid and console himself by saying, 'Atleast they did not kill them like other noble families.'

What everyone failed to notice was that there was there was someone other than themselves and that someone heard all these from outside the lab door.
