Chapter - 5: Yubel's Power

-------------

"How in the hell!!?"

Still kneeling, Raynare felt the debilitating effects of the wound the dark lance had inflicted on her knee. Her body seemed to buckle under the weight of some unknown thaumaturgic force. Cursing inwardly, she fought to maintain control, but felt herself succumbing to the unknown power of the human before her.

The situation should have been completely under her control, and she should have been playing with this pathetic human right now, slowly torturing him to satisfy her sadistic will.

She should have been able to accomplish her task with absolute efficiency and, most importantly, with ease, since she only had to deal with two simple humans who had not yet awakened their Sacred Gears.

In this way, she hoped to gain the favor of Kokabiel and Azazel-sama, which would improve her position within the Grigori and give her everything she wanted: from simple authority to the possibility of no longer being considered an outcast by the entire faction.

So how the hell did it end up like this?! Why was she the one kneeling on the ground like an insignificant insect before a superior power she couldn't hope to resist?

As the Supreme King exuded an aura of power and authority, silence filled the air, broken only by Raynare's labored breathing and the accelerated heartbeats of those present. His presence dominated the room, and the atmosphere was charged with tension.

Issei had collapsed to the floor, crushed by despair, unable to bear the tension of seeing the girl he cared for hurt by the hand of his own younger brother.

Meanwhile, Mittelt watched Judai intently; how could she not? After all, he was the one she had once believed to be a simple human in need of her protection.

But he had proven to be much more than she had ever imagined. In a way, she couldn't help but be extremely pleased with this development, as it would allow for a closer relationship between them.

However, both instinctively knew that they shouldn't interfere in the confrontation that lay ahead. A single glance into those golden eyes was enough to dispel any thought of interference.

Raynare looked up at Judai, her eyes filled with fear mixed with a hint of desperation. She knew she had underestimated him, but she couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope, a faint spark of resistance.

"You...!" With bloodshot eyes filled with animal rage, Raynare slowly rose to her feet despite the pressure that seemed to crush the bones in her leg.

Her body was drenched in sweat, and she felt as if her internal organs could burst at any moment due to the alien energy within her. However, the current pressure was still bearable if she activated her magical powers to the fullest to resist it.

"Human... no, Judai, you really surprised me. Who would have thought... that a mere human possesses such power..." Raynare whispered, her tone filled with awe. "You really are too dangerous to be left alive."

"Judai!" Yubel warned in his mind, just in time to dodge two beams of light aimed directly at the back of his left leg, likely to incapacitate him and quickly finish him off.

Raising his eyes to the sky, he noticed two winged figures hovering above him, their faces showing clear arrogance. Then, in a theatrical entrance, the two angels appeared before the defenseless Raynare.

Her face exuded a mixture of surprise and relief, as if their presence had lifted a weight from her heart, finally making her feel safe and protected, free of any fear or worry.

"It's incredible that an human could surprise Raynare." The male voice expressed amazement and contempt. "Consider this your unlucky day, boy. Had you surrendered to Raynare, you would have met a more merciful end. But never fear, we will soon put you out of your misery."

"Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing to Raynare?"

Judai remained silent, his golden eyes intensifying as they focused on the new enemies that had appeared before him.

The first of the two wore a black trench coat and a wide-brimmed hat, and wielded a lance of light in one hand. He appeared to be middle-aged and gave the impression of being the most physically fit of the group. Judai could sense that, unlike the others, he had the look of a true warrior, as if he had fought countless battles.

The last person to stare at Judai with a gaze capable of chilling hell itself was Kalawarner, a tall and voluptuous woman with long dark blue hair and piercing brown eyes.

She wore a brown trench-style top with a wide collar, paired with a matching miniskirt and black high-heeled shoes. The trench opened at her cleavage, revealing her neckline, while a gold necklace adorned her neck, giving her the appearance of a true succubus.

'Are they really fallen angels? What do you think of them, Yubel?' Judai asked through their link, now accustomed to seeking his guardian's advice.

"So it seems, along with your little Gothic Lolita friend," Yubel replied. "But in the end, they're not worth half of that perverted crow who asked you to join his faction, promising you help in developing your Sacred Gear and information about this world."

'I agree, they are inferior to him,' Judai admitted. 'But that won't stop me from facing them... They planned to dispose of us quickly, as if we weren't worthy of their time, as if we were just insects to be crushed at their whim,' he explained coldly, enveloped in a dark aura, ready to unleash and destroy anything he disliked at the slightest command.

"So what are you going to do, Judai?" Yubel asked with a sadistic smile on her lips, clearly not unhappy with the current situation.

'I will destroy them all," he declared in a tone that brooked no objection. 'And to do so, I must use your power, is that all right with you, Yubel? After all, I don't want to reveal all my powers.'

Judai felt a warm embrace from his beloved guardian. "Of course, you can use every single drop of my power," Yubel replied confidently, encouraging Judai to continue on his chosen path.

Meanwhile, Raynare scolded her comrades. "You are late, Dohnaseek and Kalawarner. How long does it take to create a barrier so that some random human doesn't interfere with our plans?"

"Undoubtedly less time than it took for you to be incapacitated by this human," a growl escaped Raynare's lips as she tried to rise, but with little success.

"Enough, Dohnaseek. Can't you see Raynare is hurt? It's clear we underestimated these humans," Kalawarner interjected, trying to ease the tension in their group.

Dohnaseek just snorted in disdain and glared at the human in front of him. It was obvious that he was itching for a fight and to prove his superiority as a fallen angel.

"Thank you, Kala," Raynare said sweetly, in contrast to her usual arrogant tone. "But beware of this human. Because of him, I can't use my ability to summon Light Spears."

"Oh, this is interesting," Dohnaseek exclaimed before his gaze settled on the gothic Lolita. "Mittelt, what the hell are you doing? Why are you standing next to this insignificant human?"

"Ignore her existence, she has turned her back on our cause, preferring to protect this human instead of us," Raynare declared, revealing her comrade's treachery.

Mittelt took a few steps back, her face etched with bitterness as she watched the three fallen angels cast disdainful glances at her, realizing she was no longer part of their group.

"UmU?" Mittelt murmured, a sweet sound wafting through the air as she watched Judai position himself protectively in front of her, a gesture that made her heart beat intensely.

Faced with this disgusting spectacle, Dohnaseek immediately threw himself into the creation of more than ten Light Spears. Constructs of dark-yellow light energy seemed to take shape in the air as he prepared to hurl them at Judai, with a burning desire to quickly end the conflict and prevent further complications in their plan.

Meanwhile, Kalawarner certainly wasn't just following his lead. After all, they were both experienced fighters who had faced many life-or-death situations.

Although Judai's power was amazing, even shocking for a mere human, simply cursing their opponent wouldn't change the current critical situation.

It was necessary to react and win this battle. "Ahahahahahah~! Take this, miserable human! Burn with the power of our holy light!"

Raynare was hysterical, but her concern seemed almost unnecessary. After all, human bodies were inherently more fragile than those of supernatural creatures. There was absolutely no chance that they would lose this battle against him, especially now that they had the numerical advantage.

There was no way they could lose...

A faint sigh of annoyance and complaint echoed through the air. The two fallen angels were interrupted in their thoughts as they witnessed something beyond the bounds of common sense.

But then again, they weren't even sure what they had just seen. Everything had happened too quickly for them to react in any way; the only thing they understood was that something very bad was happening to them.

*Reflect!*

For some reason, a female voice echoed through the air, sending a shiver down the spine of every fallen angel present.

And so, before their astonished eyes, they witnessed a spectacle they would never forget throughout their long existence. The twenty spears of light, hurled with all their might, were repelled. They tried to dodge them, but it was too late; they could do nothing but endure the onslaught.

*Boom*

It was a total defeat...

The three fallen angels lay motionless on the ground, their wings stained with blood and their robes torn by wounds. Some had superficial cuts on their faces and arms, while others had deep, serious wounds on their chests and legs.

Dohnaseek lay badly injured, having been hit directly by the attack, and he seemed to be struggling between life and death. Meanwhile, Kalawarner had sacrificed herself to protect Raynare, putting her own body between her and the impending danger. Although this had put her in danger, it had prevented her from being seriously injured.

"This is impossible...!" But that wasn't the only thing that surprised her as she stared in disbelief at what lay before her.

On Judai's right arm, a mighty limb resembling that of a dragon took shape, with bright purple scales unfolding along the entire arm, creating a kind of impenetrable armor that seemed to pulsate with a life of its own.

The scales seemed light and flexible, vibrating with a mysterious intensity as they adapted to Judai's movements. Claws, razor sharp and irregular like those of true demons, emerged from his flesh as if they were an integral part of his own body.

This transformation was not only an emanation of power, but also the symbol of a deep and mysterious bond that united Judai with his guardian, who had taken another step forward in this world.

The three could sense the dark power emanating from that arm, but that wasn't what surprised them. Rather, something else caught their attention so much that they couldn't concentrate on the anomaly in front of them.

"A dragon's arm..." Raynare muttered, shock, disbelief and obvious confusion on her face.

This was certainly not just a Twice Critical; it wasn't the main reason they had come to this city. More specifically, they were here to identify the owners of the Sacred Gears and neutralize them before they could become a serious threat to their faction.

Ignoring the terrified looks directed at him, Judai's eyebrows furrowed as he looked back. Aware that no matter what world he found himself in, he would always have something to protect.

The spears of light had absolutely no chance to hurt him. Originally, he had planned to simply avoid them, but unfortunately, he had no intention of letting his brother or even Mittelt get hurt because of his carelessness.

Therefore, despite his reluctance, he had no choice but to use Yubel's power in this new way, since he did not want to rely on the powers of his other Duel Spirits for the time being.

And considering that his brother harbored a dragon within himself, there shouldn't have been any problems on that front.

But now was not the time to think about it...

With a cold look, the Supreme King fixed his eyes on Raynare, ready to carry out his sentence. He approached with slow steps, ignoring the other fallen angels around him, his golden eyes fixed only on her.

Raynare, seeing him move with eerie calm, shuddered in fear as he approached. "Stay away from me!" she cried in fear, desperately trying to defend herself with her physical body, but it was completely useless against him. He easily overpowered her pathetic attempt.

Indifferent to her fear, Judai approached her firmly, the grip of his dragon arm tight around her face. With unrelenting force, he crushed her head to the stone floor, eliciting a scream of pain.

But under the relentless gaze of the Supreme King, her weakness was obvious, her power insignificant. With a lump of fear in her throat, she accepted her fate, knowing there was no escape.
