40 Demon Fox

Sadly no chap tomorrow. Today is my Bday. So people coming over. Kids screaming, and all that. Yay me.. If you don't know by now I'm an introvert, like most of you probably. I'd rather have peace and quiet, so I can enjoy reading or writing.

My bday also doesn't really matter to me. It just another day for me.

Sometimes I wonder if I should just disappear somewhere on my bday and spend it in silence.

Anyway, it is what it is. I don't have any time to write.

Kukuroo Mountain

"This place is weird" Veldora said uneasily. He was keeping a close watch on the surroundings.

I was doing the same. It just feels wrong here.

Even the usually lazy Dino was on full alert.

"This place sure is creepy" Meredith mumbled

"Creepy" Valerie nodded

"Very Creepy" Asia was sticking close to both girls. They all linked hands together.

The nature energy in this place was wrong.

The entire mountain screamed from Evil Energy.

As far as I know. This is not the method to practice Senjutsu. As far as I know. What the hell is this guy doing?

After a few minutes of walking, we arrive at a clearing.

A young man was sitting cross-legged on a boulder. He had long dark reddish-orange hair that went all the way to his back. He had three deep whisker marks on each cheek.

"Leave" he only spoke one word. But it echoed across the forest we were in.

Interesting.

"So you are the Demon Fox. Looks like the rumors had some truth to them after all."

"I won't join your peerage Devil. So leave if you value your insignificant life." he said with a bit of force in his voice

"I don't have a peerage" I smile at him, making him open his eyes

"This is my team. Asia. Meredith. Valerie. Dino. Veldora and me as the leader Isaiah"

"Hi~" Asia shyly waved

"Hello" Meredith smiled

Valerie just gave a small nod.

"Sup-" Dino just raised his hand as he yawned

Veldora kept quiet while scratching his head. Something was bothering him

"We gathered together to explore the world. Achieving our own goals along the process and defending ourselves if we are attacked

.I came here because I was curious. If I liked you I would have invited you. At least that's what I planned before coming here. But man. You are in some deep shit my friend. How about you cancel that Illusion"

As soon as I said Ilusion Veldora yelled out "THAT'S IT! That's what has been bothering me. There is a big ass illusion here"

... Took you a while.

The air around us shook. The person on the boulder disappeared. Behind him a huge Nine-Tailed Fox appeared, laying on the ground. He had orange-red fur but a LOT of blackish-red aura was coming out from him.

The jaws of everyone on my team dropped. But I had a different reaction.

Damn it's worse than I thought.

"He is bigger than me in my Dragon Form" Veldora said while he picked up his jaw.

"So what's your name big guy?~" Dino said casually

"Kurama. What do you want?" he asked us calmly. As a Senjutsu practitioner, he can sense out intent and lies.

We have no intention of fighting or harming him. So he was more chill with us.

"Well at first I wanted to ask you to teach me Senjutsu. But considering your situation. I'd say you are not in the best state to teach. I heard you practice both the good and the bad parts of Senjutsu. But isn't this you just baring the pain and barely holding on to your sanity?" I say incuriously.

Kurama just shrugs his shoulders in his fox form. "Desperate times call for desperate choices. It was this or die"

That part I can understand, I would probably do the same thing.

"If I'm understanding this right you are trying to remove all of the Negative Energy in your body. Which practically makes up for half your strenght. By slowly 'dispersing' it in the surroundings and refiling your reserves with 'filtered' clean nature energy."

Since he took both Good and Bad. If he removes the bad he loses half his power. So he has to remove the Evil energy while adding in more Normal Nature energy

"Yes. But doing so is pretty much impossible. It is possible if I just release all of the Malevolent energy at once. But that would result in my strenght weakening. My enemies won't let an opportunity like that pass by" Kurama says in a resolved tone. He plans to spend decades here, just slowly releasing tiny parts of evil energy and refining it with clean nature energy

The problem is Multitasking. He has to keep most of his focus on not letting the 'Evil Energy slip and wreak havoc inside him. Then he has to focus on getting new nature chakra, which contains normal nature chakra and corrupted chakra.

( I feel like Chakra is better than saying Nature energy.)

Then he has to filter out the corrupted chakra, then carefully and slowly disperse the corrupted chakra from his system. And replace it with normal Nature chakra.

The reason he isn't in his human form is because he can't. Taking a human form takes a good amount of focus and control over your own power. His power is unstable as hell.

"Try this out" I make Two big ass swords and throw them at him. The size doesn't matter. It's the effects that swords have.

Strands of Hair burst from his tail like tendrils and wrapped around the handle of the swords.

Instantly the effect started. I know because his eyes widened from surprise.

Those were just basic swords with 'Calming' and 'Purification' concepts. They should help out with clearing all the Negative Chakra

"If you agree to join my team. I'll help you get rid of all that Negative Chakra."

I honestly don't know what he will do. He doesn't necessarily need me. He will succeed, it's only a matter of time. It just depends on whether he has the patience to wait.

Silence stretched out. Kurama said nothing as he was testing out the effects of the swords

He then stood up and looked down at me from above " I will follow you. But only if you beat me in a fight. There is no way I'm following someone who is weaker than me"

"Deal" I grin at the Giant Fox
