'System, gimme a task relating to this spar with him.'

[Bro...]

'Give me.' As I looked at Susanoo who was standing from the distance from me.

[Task: First Step of Becoming a God of Thunder

Description: You've gained several lightning-based abilities from the system. It's about time for you to ascend and become the Thunder God.

Objective: Prove your worth in fighting a god that uses lightning.

Rewards: 15x Gifts, 200,000 System Points, and Narukami]

'Narukami Island?' I stared at the rewards as the last one immediately reminded me of Genshin Impact.

"Come boy!" Susanoo called out to me.

*Chidori*

Susanoo unsheathed his katana swiftly, causing me to almost get sliced into two pieces.

"Hey! I thought this was just a light spar!" I complained about his actions which almost killed me. My ability 'Thou Shalt Not Die' only works if my head is intact. After all it's useless if you don't have the chance to think.

"Hahahahaha! You did dodge it, didn't you?" He smirked as he sheathed his katana back.

'Quick Draw huh? I thought he would use his storm abilities. Never thought he would choose to close combat me first.' I observed him.

Susanoo tried to infuse his katana with lightning but before it did. His lightning immediately came to my body, absorbing it.

"What is this?" He looked at me. He created a lightning in his palm. And as expected his lightning came towards me.

"Huhuhuhahahah! No wonder you dared to challenge me, so that's your shtick eh!" Susanoo felt amused as he figured out my 'lightning rod' ability quite easily.

Well, it's to be expected that my foe can figure it out that fast... Well after absorbing his lightning I do feel stronger.

This is also one of my purposes for challenging Susanoo, I wanted to test out if I'm truly immune to lightning-based attacks and see the limit on how much lightning I could absorb. Because there's a thing called overload.

Since he's a god of storm, he may be the best subject that I could use my lightning powers. My lightning won't kill him, would it?

"If you think that you can win just by absorbing my thunder, then you're surely mistaken." He jumped up, as he created two tornadoes.

"If I can't hurt you with my thunder then my winds and swordsmanship would!" The violent winds swirled up around me, making me unable to balance well enough, as I might get blown away if I lost my grip on the ground.

"Heads up." I gave him a warning. As I pulled out a knife from my inventory.

'This should work.' I used my electro master to launch the knife like a rail gun towards Susanoo, as it tore through the tornadoes.

"!!!" He was surprised at the speed of the incoming attack as he just slightly dodged it.

'It's a success, it could've hit him if I didn't give him a heads up... But if he did lose it would've been boring.'

"Wow, that was fast." Susanoo disappeared for a moment, as he reappeared behind me like the wind god that he is.

I immediately pulled my Yamato out from my inventory to block his quick draw. Our Katanas clashed violently cracking the ground below us.

'Seriously why do people keep coming behind me... If it wasn't for the improved reaction I got from 'Blessing of the Sword Saint', I would've lost right there.'

*Heat Lightning*

I threw a long upward slash which hit Susanoo's thick left arm, slightly cracking it as he retreated a few steps away.

"..." Susanoo looked at his arm.

"What's with your thunder, boy?" He looked at me strangely, as he was sure that he was pretty resistant to thunder elements.

"How would I know?" I replied. 'Maybe it's because it has the Divinity of an Archon, The power of an overpowered Djinn, and the control of an electro master? Who knows all that matters is that its POWER is strong.'

"Not that matters, since both are ineffective... How about the power of the sea!" He generated a wild surge of water enough to flood a small town.

'Heh! You fool. I'm immune to water!' I hid my grin on my face as soon as he said that.

As the flood came towards me, 'washing' me away with its pressure.

I used this chance to hide my presence in the violent flood to give him a surprise attack on me.

As I swam through the flood toward Susanoo's direction.

'He seems to be heavily on guard... As expected to a god that beat up Yamata no Orochi.' It was hard to find an open cautious God.

"Did he get washed away just like that?" Susanoo looked around as he flew up some more to observe. He still couldn't find Vile who disappeared.

A few moments on... He heard a loud bang above him.

*Lightning Sword of Extinction*

A huge lightning resembling that of a sword pierced through the skies making its way towards Susanoo who unsheathed his sword to clash with it.

Meanwhile the spectators of their 'spar'.

"Hey is this even a spar anymore?" All of them are seeing both of them using deadly moves.

"It's a full-blown fight!"

"Do you think Lord Susanoo will lose?" The voice muttered in a low voice.

"You idiot! Are you saying that Lord Susanoo is about to lose?" He bonked the head of the one who previously spoke.

"Yeah! There's no way Lord Susanoo would lose to that human! He is the God of Storms after all!" The crowd cheered for Susanoo's victory.

Susanoo was having trouble blocking the lightning sword. Finally broke through the sword.

"See! Lord Susanoo broke through!" The crowd shouted.

"Hehe, but how would you fare with the other one?" Vile created a weaker version of *Lightning Sword of Extinction*, while Susanoo was occupied with the first one. This one however is thinner than the previous one.

Seeing that Vile created another one. The crowd felt worried as the previous one already looked like took a huge toll on Susanoo as he hadn't caught his breath properly.

*Fuuuuuhh* Susanoo let out a huge breath.

"Reap my foes!" Susanoo decided to play evenly with the Vile who was above him.

Several tornadoes crashed into Vile as the razor winds tore his body.

"Vile..." Yasaka who was watching, was worried about him.

"Ahahha, what's wrong?" Susanoo now has a unique light halo behind him, giving him a godly presence.

"You're about to lose now that I've decided to stop playing around, would you consider conceding?" He offered at Vile who was hurt from the tornado.

"Nah," Vile spoke.

"That's the spirit!!! Ahhaahah!" Susanoo felt excited, as he prepared another attack. Not before he felt something powerful at his back.

"I'd win!" The Vile who was on the ground stopped moving.

*Soaring Thunder God*

The real Vile appeared behind Susanoo as Vile attempted to pierce his thick skin.

Unable to fully piece Susanoo's thicc muscles, Susanoo instead crashed to the ground. After being pinned to the ground, his body started to be coated with razor winds. Which made Vile back off.

'His Swordsman ship and Winds are no joke he's like Wamuu right now. How different it would be if I didn't have immunity to water and thunder?' I watched Susanoo who was flexing.

"Huhuhu, what do you think of my 'Wind Suit'? I recently developed this technique since most of my abilities are ineffective against you." He puffed his chest, of course, he has a lot of different abilities. But Susanoo wanted to test Vile's full potential.

'That looks like Wamuu's ability...' I looked at him.

"Watch this! *Divine Whirlwind*." Susanoo positioned both of his arms in my direction as his arms created a massive windstorm in front of him.

'Holy shit! He ripped that off from Wamuu.' I moved out of the way. As the whirlwind still followed me.

"You can't get away this time Boy!" As his winds chased after me.
