'We've finally arrived at Kuoh town's church... ' Xenovia still felt uneasy about this mission that the church gave them. It was about retrieving the Excalibur stolen by a fallen angel named Kokabiel.

"I'd say that rubbles in this place confirm it," Xenovia states as she and Irina enter the abandoned church.

"There were rumors that fallen angels and devils were fighting here, so turns out they were true," Irina spoke.

"It's getting late Irina, are you sure this is it? We're supposed to meet with this childhood friend of yours." Xenovia asked as she was told by Irina that she lived in this town before she had gone to the church.

"Yes, certainly, I'm positively sure that I am correct Xenovia. Though I'd be a little bit sad if he had forgotten me," Irina stated as she pulled out a photo of her and Issei as proof. "Look I even a photo of us two as a child."

"How about we go and talk with the devil princesses managing Kuoh tomorrow morning." Zenovia changed the subject.

As I was walking alone in the streets of the raining streets of Kuoh. Contemplating about what to do in the future.

"Please, please help me!" A priest let out a hoarse voice pleading for my help as he fell and bled to death.

"A priest..." I muttered as a familiar figure came out from where the dead priest was before.

"Yoohooh! It's been a while, isn't it? Did you and your friends miss me?" Freed let out an annoying voice as he showed off his newly acquired arm and his sword.

"So it You, Freed Sellzen!" I glared at him. "Have you been hiding in the town after Vile shooed you and your friends away?"

'So he's able to regrow his arm after it had been sliced off by Vile?' I thought.

"Heh, this is quite a reunion for us I say. Hehehe!"

"Unfortunately for you, I need you to die now." I took out a sword using my sacred gear.

"Oh that's great and perfect, I need some fun. Hunting those weak priests isn't enough for me you see." Freed said as he activated his sword, causing it to be wrapped in with holy aura.

"That light, and that aura. That can't be an Excalibur is it?" I looked at the sword that Freed was wielding.

"Bingo! Behold my holy sword known as Excalibur!"

"Oh, this is also a great timing. I heard that you can make demonic swords right? To make up for your previous actions, let's have a little test to see which sword is better. Your sword. Or my sword will win?" Freed pointed his sword at me.

'I will not forget what that damn project did to me!' I remember my childhood days when I and my friends were made into test subjects by the church.

"Hahahahaha!!" Freed laughed maniacally, as he lunged towards me.

'Vile has taught me swordsmanship just for this moment to destroy the Excalibur, he also taught me to control my emotions properly while in a battle. I will not lose!' I parried his attack as I created another one.

'Trace On!' I created swords that shot up from the ground towards Freed. 'The action worked as Vile, had theorized.'

"What the fuck!?" Freed roared as he was hit once in the thigh.

"It's over for you Freed Sellzen!" I rushed towards him with two swords at hand.

"Just kidding!" He let out a grin, he had thrown something to the ground, which made me instinctively jump back immediately, as a bright dazzling flash covered the area.

"Bye, bitch!" Freed let out a mocking tone, before leaving.

'A flash bang huh.' I wondered a bit. 'He could've just attacked me when he used the flash bang... Is he an idiot or did he just flee tactfully?' I thought.
