Warzone I

"Cat, you're strong, I admit it... but do you think you can match an ancient one?" the malevolence of Hasshaku-sama was unmatched, she stretched her long hideous limbs and endless darkness seemed to seep through, conjuring wicked spells of Youjutsu.

*RUMBLE!*

"..."

Kuroka grit her teeth and waved her own arms, releasing her own Youjutsu spells to counterattack, in this battle neither of them moved from their spot. Creature summoning, weapon throwing, barrier-making... those two just kept relentlessly throwing spells at one another but one of them had the clear upper hand.

Hasshaku-sama summoned a massive darkness worm that ate a gigantic chunk of Kuroka's barrier before the former stepped on the ground and a torrent of darkness shot from beneath, sending Kuroka flying as she struggled to regain her balance.

"You can even use devil's magic, popopo~ what a failed experiment you are".

"Shut up!".

...

One of the most impressive fights without a doubt was the fight between Kuroka and Hasshaku-sama. The black cat had always considered herself as a prodigious. Be it for the sake of survival... or for simply natural aptitude... Kuroka always found herself attaining the highest levels of indoctrination in whatever type of magic she practised. Even then, against his monster, nothing seemed to work.

As if to ridicule her, Hasshaku-sama had stopped using physical attacks, a realm in which she was no doubt superior if going by size alone, she seemed determined to 'indulge' Kuroka. Be it because of her nekoshou heritage, or because she felt disgusted by the devil pieces inside Kuroka, nobody knew.

Next to them, an even fiercer battle was taking place. One that sadly, seemed to be reaching its conclusion much too soon.

*CLAANG!*

*CLAANG!*

Jeanne D'arc was fighting one of Disruption's bodies. In terms of swordsmanship, she was superior, if Disruption had been a human, she'd be dead at least a dozen times now. But she wasn't. If this had been Solution, she too would have been dead more than a dozen times as her monstrous nature would make her weak against the holy element of Jeanne's swords.

Alas.

The swords pierced Disruption, and they could do nothing... for Disruption was not weak against the holy element.

"You monster!"

"Thanks for the compliment, my master made me as a monster and as a monster I shall serve~ now, your blood is a delicacy... I wonder about your flesh!~"

Jeanne cursed, evading one of Disruption's kicks, but not by much, a gnashing wound tore her armour apart and left a bloody mark on her stomach, she resisted the urge to cough blood and retreated.

<Balance Breaker: Stake Victim Dragoon!>

A gigantic dragon made out of swords manifested to protect Jeanne and growled, Disruption frowned but for a moment. Jeanne's sacred gear was Blade Blacksmith, a sacred gear that allowed her to create holy swords in all shapes, forms and powers.

The slime's consciousness connected with her peers. Two fighting Arthur and Le Fay, another one holding Georg as for the last one... she smiled and licked her lips.

...

Ray stood in front of Perseus' corpse with Heracles glaring at him with thoughts of pure vengeance. Before he could even make his next move, a silhouette flashed in front of him, Disruption's leg extended like a whip clashing towards Heracles who was still in his balance breaker, the latter retreated and Ray frowned.

"I told you to leave Heracles to me-"

"Master, if you'd excuse me, I'll show you something very interesting~" Disruption's body began consuming Perseus much to Ray's confusion.

[Don't tell me...] Elysir seemed to have caught onto something.

...

<Predator! >

*RUMBLE!*

[It's that! Ray, you're so lucky!] Elysir screamed, her voice seemed to contain a mixture of joy and surprise.

'What's going on? tell me!'

While she looked quite well-informed, Ray was clueless about what Disruption was doing, she transformed into a sort of cocoon and they could no longer see that accurately inside her body, what he could see thought was a shadow inside of her ruby-red self, it was Perseus body... disintegrating.

"So delicious, I was so hungry!"

"What the hell is she doing!?"

Heracles jumped with the intention of 'disrupting' disruption but Ray flashed like a meteor in between, whatever Disruption was doing, he didn't want her to be interrupted and so, his fist met with Heracles' missile arms.

*BOOOMMMM!!!*

It was astonishing to both demigods that even after this powerup, Heracles was still falling far short in the power department, even now his body was once again sent flying as Ray's fist deformed his 'missiles' mercilessly shattering his balance breaker with his raw flesh.

As if Heracles wasn't lucky enough, the moment he impacted the snow and rolled, another body clashed heavily against him, sending the two of them further away like pieces of trash, it was Vali who had just been once again thrashed by Yasaka.

It was in the midst of this chaos that Ray began receiving notifications that left him awed, expectant but also, a little afraid.

[Sacred Gear: Aegis Mineralization, has been analysed...]

[Adapting...]

[Congratulations, you have obtained an ability: Sun Stare].

...

The abrupt sequence of events left Ray a bit confused, but much to his and Heracles' shock, when Disruption finished she was no longer looking like Solution, instead her red ruby-like body... had taken the shape of Perseus.

"How is that, master...? You can praise me~" The slime shamelessly sought his praise while her red eyes glared at Heracles.

<Sun Stare>

!!!

The latter, all of a sudden... felt like his eyes were burning and instinctively closed them!

"UGH!!!"

The demigod held his head while 'Perseus' pouted and jumped at the weakened Heracles with the sword in hand, the demigod groaned, feeling the attack and evading but not in his peak capacity.

*WHOOSH!*

"HAAAA!!!"

The vicious Disruption, still hungry, didn't think twice before devouring Heracles' bisected arm, only a second later did she realise that she actually messed up when he saw Ray standing there watching her agape.

"I'm sorry, master... you said you wanted Heracles. I shall leave him to you then!" Disruption, not leaving Perseus' appearance, flashed away as if she had committed a mistake, not aware that Ray and Elysir were equally shocked by this discovery.

'Are you telling me that... every time Disruption eats someone...' Ray mumbled, still in shock.

[That ability, predator, is her innate racial ability. Since she's connected to you as your summon, you get to receive whatever she harvests... additionally, anything that ever gets in contact with the Septem Diebus will inherit your Sun Nature. Be it Yasaka's evolution as a Ten Suns-Tailed Fox, Tsunade's evolution as a High Human or this sacred Gear that has been adapted to you, the Septem Diebus will make everything that you come across, compatible with you]

Horus tried to explain, although his explanation sounded more like a hypothesis, none of them knew very well how this treasure from the Great Plains worked.

[The Septem Diebus Fortunae (Seven Fingers of Fortune)... is terrifying]

That was all the goddess could say, actually shocked that her other self had managed to manipulate that treasure and create the current system but it looked like even she was not fully aware of the capacities of this treasure.

With all that knowledge in mind, Ray couldn't help it... he looked around, he saw Heracles, he saw Vali... he saw Cao Cao's spear. The demigod couldn't help but lick his lips.

'That armour looks sick, that boy should dash it over~'
