34 Day 1 of the Games pt 1

"So its decided I'll participate in the first game of the day and Tonks will participate in the afternoon event."

My teammates all nod trying to hide their nervousness. I mean who would've believed it. Angels Devils Gods, i feel like the last 4 years of learning magic was a waste. I spent all that time doing what? Stuck in a castle with people who mostly cant get their noses out of their butts. Calling me mudblood and so proud of their inbreeding, but none of that was enough to prepare me for any of this.

These games are the chance for me to truly interact with magical individuals.

"THE FIRST GAME OF TODAY WILL BE STARTING IN 20 MINUTES. CHAMPIONS CHOOSE 1 MEMBER TO REPRESENT YOUR TEAMS. REPRESENTATIVES PLEASE MEET IN THE ARENA EARLY."

Oh its starting. I really wish i couldve studied more magic before hand. I open the doors to the arena and see that im not the first. Of course ive memorized their names and appearances since we're competing.

and last but not least A blonde girl named Jeanne that the Shinto Pantheon invited to be one of their champions.

Im nervous because out of every girl in this room i may be the weakest magically.

Im brought out of my mind by todays announcer Perona coming in to explain the rules.

"Alright Champions my name is Perona and here is your breakdown. All of you were allowed to register one magical support item and one physical support item. Do not worry about injuries as our medics are on stand by to grab you out the moment they deem you unfit to continue which will result in your loss. No killing obviously and under no circumstances are you allowed to team up against one another. Any questions? Good now get ready once all of you are out there then we begin by telling you guys the event. If you need any advice.... well just good luck."

Thats it? They don't give us time to plan at all. And a minute later we're being rushed upstairs to the sounds of a massive crowd cheering.

"Is anyone else feeling nervous?" Aika asked.

I get it, this is the first game of the biggest event this year. Everyone will remember the names of the people who stand out today. We finally pass the threshold as we're greeted.

"AND HERE ARE OUR CHAMPIONS HERMIONE, ANNABETH, VELVET, AIKA, TSUBAKI, KUISHA, AKENO AND JEANNE!!!! TODAY'S EVENT IS SIMPLY HIDE AND SEEK. EVERY PLAYER IS WEARING A TRACKING BRACELET TO MONITOR THEM. IN A MINUTE THE CHAMPIONS WILL BE SENT TO A DIMENSION FILLED WITH THEIR DUPLICATES. EACH TIME YOUR MAGIC CONNECTS WITH YOUR TARGET YOU GAIN 3 POINTS. BUT IF YOU HIT AN ILLUSION THATS -1. ANY QUESTIONS? NONE OK EVERYBODY COUNTDOWN WITH MEEE."

'Immediately cast Sonarus to find their locations then stick a tracking charm to them. If that doesn't work then.

AND WE'RE OFF.

'HUH?' I was so busy monologuing that i missed the send off point and now im already standing out. I gotta blend in. Its really creepy how they created so many clones of us but this is what magic is supposed to be. Not simply pointing our wands and yelling Latinized words.

I make my way through the crowds casting Sonarus before changing positions when i come across a devastating scene. Annabeth being chased down by Velvet as Akeno is in the air facing off against Kuisha. Neither caring about the fact that this is a hiding game. I send a quick stinging hex at Velvet and double take to hit Annabeth with a locked leg curse but i lost her. I know she was just here where did she go? Im looking around for her when i feel someone tap my shoulder. ai spin around to find nothing there. Im confused before i see the score board has a +3 next to Annabeths name. She can turn invisible? Easy fix. One Sonarus and it seems she's still behind me. I wave my wand like im going to cast a spell away from her before i bring my leg back kicking her shin and spinning around on her with a expelliarmus aimed at her chest. I hope that doesnt give her magical breast cancer.

I turn just in time as my hair stand on end. I cast a protego to just barely block the lightning coming for me. Damn that Akeno, she can fight that other girl and still have time to launch an attack on me. And that other girl is no slouch she launches explosion after explosion only to be met and matched with Akenos lightning. I can see theyre both getting tired so i head off to look for someone else when i see Kuisha pull out a green grimoire. The book opens and she starts launching tornadoes and wind slashes at Akeno finally breaking her defenses. Kuisha looks smug and even Velvet and Annabeth stopped to watch this fight. Jeanne comes in with Tsubaki both of them scratched like they exchanged many bladed attacks.

"Ara ara so he gave you a book too?" He? Someone gave them that book? I see Akeno take out a red book before saying "Lets see who's book is stronger shall we?"

I get a bad feeling so i throw an expelliarmus at the dazed Tsubaki and Jean and take off running. This isnt where i wanna be when those two go crazy.

I was right, when Kuisha launches a giant fiery explosive tornado and akeno simply holds her hand out and starts "BAOU-"

"BIDOM GRAVIREI"

Akeno is cut off by the pressure Aikas spell forcing everyone of them in the area to get hit and slam face down into the concrete catching Aika an instant 21 points. She looks a little confused looking at the area counting the girls face down, but before she realize that im missing i already hit her with a leg locking curse and a quick stupefy to Akeno and Before i could get Kuisha we hear Peronas voice coming from the speakers.

THATS IT FOLKS TIME IS UP AND HERE ARE YOUR RESULTS.

WINNER - HERMIONE GRANGER 18 POINTS

VELVET HAS 9 POINTS

ANNABETH CHASE WITH 5

TSUBAKI AND JEANNE 2 POINTS EACH

AKENO AND AIKA KUISHA ALL HAVE ZERO POINTS. WIDE AREA SPELLS ALSO HIT THE DUPLICATES LADIES KEEP THAT IN MIND.

I won? YES I WON HAHAHA!

Honestly i couldnt beat any of them if this wasnt a game but who knew id actually win. I walk up to the winner podium and the crowd screams my name. MY NAME! HAHA.

The phoenix guy walks over to me and shakes my hand and a hug before he grabs the mic. "MS. GRANGER HERE IS AN EXCEPTIONAL WITCH DO YOU ALL AGREE?" And the crowd goes wild again. "Use this well." He hands me a yellow spell book that glows in my touch.

"Thank you." He leans in closer and my face heats up thinking je would steal my first kiss amidst this huge crowd, but to my disappointment he simply whispers in my ear "With proper magical training you'd be a whole new witch. Just think about it."

This whole day has been so many surprises but one thing for sure. If i can learn even a fraction of what i saw in todays match alone Im definitely not going back to Hogwarts.
