54 Back to Kuoh

As the crowds were receding and packing up their stuff to continue their Sunday evenings, i was in a meeting with some of my group and important people of my newly established nation.

Reborn sat there representing the arcobaleno, Merlin was here on behalf of the Phoenix Magical Academy staff, Yasaka was seated in as a queen regent, Hephaestus came out of her workshop to join in, and the rest were my immediate peerage and Pleiades.

"Alright first order of business, Yasaka thank you for taking over as Queen Regent. Ill be stopping in a few times a week in case you need anything. In case of emergencies you know how to reach me."

I look over at Yasaka and she just nods. The mood is a bit serious but thats understandable. In a few hours my island goes public. In a few weeks my school goes live. It doesn't help that i wont be here for most of it.

"Second order, who's staying and who's going." Everyone gets tense but it doesnt last too long as i start "Reborn, Fon is coming with me, the rest of the Arcobaleno is yours to defend our home. Pleiades, Sebas, Beta and Delta the two of you are coming to Kuoh, the rest of you are to become Yasaka's arms and legs around here. Protect her and aide her to the best of your abilities. Ashleen, i need you to stay. The packs are coming in and i need you to be their representative and keep them in check. Chrome and Adelheid you two are coming with me. Merlin its obvious you're staying. Im taking Shana with me, but Mizore i want you to stay back. Regain your strength, the sooner you recover the better. Alice is coming with me as well as Seira, Law as well. With Carslile in charge of the hospital we should be fine."

I pause as i look around the room. Everyone understood their roles and accepted it with little to no questions so we moved on. "Alright this year we're focusing on finding out what the heck is this world on. Im going to be going back and forth between Kuoh and Karakura, im going to leave Tokyo and Fuyuki alone for now. Fuyuki should resolve itself and as for Tokyo, well ghouls aren't my main concern, but that doesn't mean we can ignore it."

Yasaka perked up and said "I can have my people look into the ghouls, Blake is an amazing scout."

"Noted, please do so" i reply "Also we're keeping an eye out for a group called Chaos Brigade. What we're doing on the island is completely against what they're namesake implies so we might be a target for them."

Reborn nods and sends a quick message to the rest of the Arcobaleno situated around the islands before falling back into the meeting.

"If that's all then everyone get ready. We have a few weeks before the new term begins. I also want people posted up for sacred gear holders. If you find a useful one then invite them in. If they refuse leave em be. Alright folks dismissed."

I sit back watching everyone leave, and i close my eyes. So much to do, ive made myself known and now canon starts. After speaking a bit with Gabriel i learned a bit about sacred gears and the most interesting part is about Longinus gears. A longinus gear has a special function where they fuse with a soul before awakening.

If you interrupted that awakening the gear would move on to the next host, but it would bring a part of that person's soul with them. This alone almost caused a war with Soul Society, but it was taken care of by signing a treaty with them. However messing with a soul before awakening if they're a Longinus is punishable by a captain showing up to deal with the issue. Captains are no joke. Each captain rank is minimum to a Cadre or Ultimate level being while the stronger ones are well, stronger.

I sigh as i go through my thoughts. Ever since i met with Mizore and awoken Shana from her egg I've felt...weird? Like im missing something. I feel fine physically, but my Phoenix side is like calling out to something? I'll find out eventually.

Oh! And an update from Serafall came in after they left. The Phenex family is slowly recovering with their second son taking over the household. They wanted to meet with me too about some matters, but i couldn't care less for now.

The devils and angels even laid down the foundations for their peace talks, so as long as we keep things safely progressing then the three major factions will have peace this year. Obviously some things are different from canon that i couldnt help but smirk at, but overall i dont mind.

The main worry i constantly have is how? With all these different worlds then I'd assume that its Aizen or hell even Voldemort? But how was Issei the big bad? What possibly happened that turned him like that? Am i missing something?

I feel my shoulders tense before a pair of arms wrap around me. "It's okay," Alice whispered in my ears "You have a lot of pent up frustrations, and a lot of weight on your shoulders. But youre a king. You dont have to do it alone."

I cant help but lean back into her chest as she stroked my hair. I need to make time to unwind more often, otherwise the stress of this world will turn me crazy too.

"Thank you Alice," i say with a quick peck on her lips "sometimes its easy to get lost in my head."

She immediately beamed with pure happiness and replied "Well thats why you have us right? After all its the job of a wife to keep her mate sane enough. Besides i can't just leave you all broken like this after all?"

My head takes a quick 180 and i look back at her "Broken? I mean i know im stressed but broken? That's a bit much."

"Broken may have been too much. Its more like....split? Yea that's how it is. Well i can't give you too many hints so how about this. The first clue you'll find is in Karakura, but I'd go to Kuoh for a few weeks first."

Seeing her smile while knowing the future is irritating. She cant just tell me? Ughhhh. Okay so seems like Karakura became that much more important.

Well I've been warned and helped so I'd have to be stupid to ignore her. I smile at her as she tightens her arms embracing me. Sigh this is the downside of being a harem protagonist, it always seems like my women know me better than myself?

"Fine Alice, i wont ask for spoilers." I stand up with the charming dhampire hanging onto me, so i scoop her up and a quick kiss as i say "Lets head home." I open up a teleportation portal back to my mansion in Kuoh as we step through. I think we'll eat out tonight.
