34 Chapter 34 - Helicopter Ophis

Author Note: Think I got a comment or two about Koko meeting Seekvaira and potentially re-creating mechas from the Gundam series which I would probably do if not for one small problem.

I kinda haven't watched Gundam... at all.

Oop.

---

A five meters tall western dragon with blue scales trudged through the training grounds avoiding the other dragonlings so as to not get in the way. Apparently something had been carving a trail of destruction through the underworld and was now moving towards the dragon mountains, someone had also seen that punk Bova around the area of the source and if that idiot was chasing after it, it was probably strong.

Walking further inside he eventually heard the by now familiar voice instructing another batch of dragonlings.

"Oi! Instructor Tannin!"

Tannin, also known as the Blaze Meteor Dragon was a 15 meters tall western dragon with dark purplish scales and beige hide on his belly. His large triangular head also sported yellow horns while his hands had claws in the same color. He had large wings on his back large black pauldrons sat on his shoulder while a loin-cloth with metallic decorations hung on his lower body.

Tannin briefly paused his instructions and turned towards the whelp he heard calling him with a questioning hum.

"Something's been ravaging around in the underworld lately and it's heading towards us. Bova was also seen following behind it."

"..."

Tannin facepalmed with a resounding smack as he let out a grumbling sigh.

"What the hell is that brat doing this time?"

---

A scream of rage rang out as a group of devils walked in the direction where the source of the destruction was currently stationary.

"Why the fuck aren't the high and mighty 'New Satans' doing shit about this, huh!?" One of the devils grit out.

"Are you sure it's not their doing in the first place? The destruction has barely touched the New Satan factions' territory."

The first devils scoffed.

"They're 'peace-loving', steering something like this into Old Satan territory wouldn't fly, those shitheads would get fucked over completely."

As they neared one of them spoke up as he pointed towards the forest.

"I can sense something about 30 meters in fr-"

The group of devils was suddenly enveloped by a wave of dark purple energy for an instant leaving nothing behind as a heavy silence hung in the air.

"Don't interrupt my child."

---

"Please let me follow you Ane-san!"

Koko looked at the dragon kneeling in front of her and tilted her head in confusion, where did it even come from?

"Why?"

"Uh..."

Bova... hadn't thought that far, what could he even do to help someone much stronger than himself? He'd be the first one to admit that he was more strong than he was smart and he didn't really have any special abilities he could bring to the table so he went with what he thought she'd find the most useful based on her personality. Or what he'd seen so far anyway.

"You're not from the underworld right, Ane-san?" Bova asked, raising his chest upright as Koko shook her head.

"Then this Bova can show you all the fun things you can do here! I might not be as strong as you but I've got a bit of a reputation myself, ya know!" Bova pointed at himself in reassurance as he huffed proudly through his nose.

"Kay." Koko nodded enthusiastically, now she could visit all the fun places instead of just driving around and looking for them herself!

"Ouh!~" Bova quickly shot to his feet and threw his arms up in the air.

"Don't worry Ane-san, I won't disappoint you!"

---

Tannin hovered in the air above where whatever was causing the destruction was heading towards with his arms crossed in front of him. Now then, what could be the cause? Although Bova could get bored without fighting anything, even he wouldn't provoke something just to lead it on a joy ride around the underworld.

"Hmmm." Tannin closed his eyes as he let out a thoughtful noise before his figure stiffened slightly.

Slowly opening his eyes Tannin looked at the seemingly young black haired girl staring at him blankly, her sharp ears twitched slightly in the direction of whatever was heading their way occasionally while her dead eyes seemed slightly less dead compared to the last time he had seen her. She was also radiating something that made his eyes widen in shock... the Infinite Dragon God was protective of something?

He also had a feeling that this wasn't something she just decided to do out of boredom, it almost felt like-

His thoughts were interrupted by a monstrous roar in the distance as a mechanical abomination appeared on the horizon leaving a massive trail of destroyed earth, dust and debris behind it just by it's weight alone... he could also see his stupid son running in the cloud of dust coughing his lungs out.

Out of the corner of his eye he could also see Ophis turning to look as well, he then saw something that made him do a double-take. Ophis' pupils were locked onto the driver as her eyes turned softer, a slight feeling of contentment could be gleaned from her expression. Opposite of her feeling of wanting to protect sharply increasing in it's ferocity.

Tannin felt slightly out of it, seeing Ophis radiating emotions at all barring a slight interest would've made him raise an eyebrow, but to see her reacting this strongly emotionally was giving him a serious whiplash.

Taking a closer look at the redheaded human driving what could generously be described as a motorcycle he could also feel Ophis' blessing on her, this combined with Ophis' behavior resembling what he would expect from a dragon mother, he had a pretty good guess at what provoked the change in her.

His eyes narrowed in seriousness before gaining a slight feeling of amusement, this would shake up the supernatural world. Having a direct way of contacting one of the three strongest beings at their fingertips, most of the factions will act on it sooner rather than later. Though, whether that contact would end in their erasure or prosperity remains to be seen.

Didn't the humans have that saying, the way to the heart is through the stomach? Converted to a dragons mindset it would be something more similar to, the way to the heart is through a dragonling.

Tannin felt his curiosity rising as he thought about what kind of being the Infinite Dragon God would take as her own would be like and started descending very slowly, keeping an eye on Ophis so as to not seem like he was in any way malicious towards her child.
