3 The final Gambit 2/3

Appearing in my apartment, I told Ezio to wait there for two seconds as I quickly teleported back to the park, had to pick up the sleeping beauty after all. Placing the boy on the sofa, I took out a small golden knife from my left-hand pocket and slit open my hand, letting my blood pool into a small bowl underneath my hand.

I then drew a picture on the plain white walls of the apartment, using my blood as the paint, I painted out the tree of life and power Yggdrasil. As I completed the painting, the walls shine in a gold light before it began to cave in on itself, smiling at Ezio, I pulled him into the portal, he gasped as we entered the Garden.

This has been my true home for the last 100 years, the true garden of Eden, looked after by Yggdrasil, in the absence of God. The water from Eden watered four important areas: Pishon, which flows into the land of Havilah; Gihon, which flows into the land of Cush; Tigris, which flows into the eastern side of Assyria; and the fourth is the Euphrates. The garden is flush with every type of tree you can imagine, beautiful sakura trees to one side, fragrant apple trees in the centre and a mixture of other fruit trees litter the left-hand side.

As we walked down the single gravel path Ezio enquired, "Father is this where the Tree is? The one that you and I serve forever?"

I smiled as I took his small hand in my own, leading him, "There are two main trees in this garden, the Tree of Life in the middle of the garden, in the centre of those apple trees there and the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. We serve both trees, our power comes from the Tree of Life, which is called Yggdrasil. The tree of Knowledge of good and evil helps us to understand what the pieces we recover from the world are and how we can use our new powers, he is called Samuel, he tempted Adam to eat his fruit, be careful around him."

Ezio nodded his head, "Is this why you were too busy to come to Hell to see me?"

I stopped walking as I knelt down to the boy, pulling him into a hug, I whispered, "The reason I didn't come and see you for all that time, is the same reason I came for you now. I can fix the imbalances in your body and allow you to age until you are 21 like you are meant to be able to. You see Ezio, I wasn't meant to have a child with your mother, I wasn't prepared for the consequences of this, I didn't understand the powers Yggdrasil had given us and when I did, I had to try and save you."

Lifting the boy up onto my shoulders, I continued to walk towards Yggdrasil, "You see the power of the Devil and the power from Yggdrasil are not meant to be mixed into a single being, doing this has severely limited and hurt you hasn't it? I have spent this time looking for a way to make sure you are okay going forwards, I have found a way Ezio, a way for you to live a normal life if you want that."

As we entered the small gathering, a large silver gate was all that separated us from the giant red tree, I gently placed Ezio on the floor before I approached the gate, kneeling down I spoke" Yggdrasil, I have returned with the final piece of Eden we need to do the ritual for my son, please can we do this now?"

A beautiful red-haired girl appeared next to me, lifting my head up, she placed it on her stomach before she whispered "We could have done it with two pieces but you wanted to guarantee his survival and for that I applaud you, I know it has been hard to be separated from your son and lover for so long, I hope you understand this will only be the end of the first contract between us, the other 2 are still valid."

(Her appearance)

Lifting my head away from her body, I smiled up at her, as soon as the ritual for my son is done, you can do the second one. Binding our souls together."

A beautiful smile erupted across her face as she pulled me up into a kiss, Ezio gasped at this shouting "I'm telling Mommy."

Yggdrasil laughed at this as she separated from me, walking to Ezio, she smiled and said" I can be considered your second Mommy, we are going to have a lot of fun together little Ezio. But first, you need to stand still ok, Daddy and I are going to cast some magic on you, be brave for me."

Ezio nodded his head, as a look of courage spread across his face, I know this is meant to be a serious moment but he looks cute as hell right now. Yggdrasil coughed in my direction, sheepishly rubbing my cheek, I took out 2 apples of Eden (There are multiple of each piece, even in normal cannon.) and a sword, the stories these pieces have told are to be buried so my son can thrive.
