26 Chapter 25

"Why have you summoned me Father?" Zadkiel asked God who is currently the same size as him as he appeared before him.

Zadkiel is in the throne room alongside God alongside the other archangels and Zadkiel.

"My son, do you remember Abzu, the child of Enki?" God asked him causing the angels to perk up.

"Yes, he was killed not too long ago from what I remember. But what does he have to do with me being called here?" Zadkiel asked him curiously.

"It seems like he has need of our help." God said to him causing Zadkiel and the archangels to become confused before a look of understanding came to the formers face.

"So he wasn't fully killed." Zadkiel said connecting the dots.

"That's correct. Even though his body had been destroyed his mind has survived and now he wants to talk with us, or more precisely you." God said with a smile.

This caused the five archangels to look at him in confusion before the others looked at Zadkiel.

"Why me?" Zadkiel asked curiously.

"Because he needs help with something that requires your strength and expertise." God said to him.

"Is it that dangerous?" Zadkiel asked considering that he is a very powerful angel and for the God to need him means that it is a very big problem.

"Yes. And for that reason you will have to come with me to talk with him. It will only take a few moments." God said to him with a smile.

"Ok Father." Zadkiel said to him as he nodded to him.

"My children, we will take some time to come back but be sure to stay vigilant and look after Heaven." God said to the rest of the archangels.

"Okay father." The four of them said at once.

"Good, then let's go." God said as he made a portal.

"I'll see you in a bit." Zadkiel said to the archangels before he entered the portal followed by God as the portal closed.

"Well, things are getting really hectic here." Raphael said as he blinked.

"I'm sure he'll be fine. He is very strong after all." Gabriel said with a smile.

The other archangel's nodded to her words before they went to manage Heaven. They still needed to make sure that Heaven is functioning properly considering the war that had happened, thankfully for them God had made a plan for them which they are using to check.

As for God and Zadkiel, they came out of the portal into a different dimension, something which the angel noticed as he turned to look at God who appeared as well. Then Zadkiel turned to his left where he had felt a presence the moment he appeared there.

"You noticed me even though I have grown weaker. I must say, you are quite skilled." A rumbling voice said as the being revealed himself.

Zadkiel's eyes widened when he saw the figure as he is as big as Gaia. But a clear difference is that he is without a doubt a dragon or dragonic entity. His blue scales and dragon like body, but it also has a humanoid body type as he can stand on two legs. A long tail, great fins, armor made of scales, it is a truly imposing sight and along with his dragonic body and teeth, it commanded respect from all those who see him. "I have brought him as you had asked Abzu." God said as he smiled at the dragon.

"Thank you Lord of Heaven. You have my deepest gratitude." Abzu said before bowing a bit.

'The way he talks. It's like someone with great wisdom. Actually, isn't Abzu the God of wisdom?' Zadkiel thought to himself as he looked at the dragon.

"You do not need to do that. I have no qualms with helping Enki's child, especially for something like that." God said with a smile.

"Once again, I am indebted to you." Abzu said to him as the angel watched the interaction.

"If I may, for what purpose do you wish to talk to me?" Zadkiel asked the Primordial God of the Ocean.

"As someone from Heaven, you must already know that my children have rebelled against me and have managed to kill me and usurp my authority." Abzu said to him.

"Yes, I am well aware." Zadkiel said with a nod.

"And now Tiamat, my sister and wife is being attacked by them and she has been fighting back as well." Abzu said to him.

"Yes, we have heard that she has spawned monsters to fight the Gods of your pantheon." Zadkiel said to him with a nod.

"Then my request will surely make sense to you." Abzu said as he looked at the angel.

"What do you want?" Zadkiel asked him.

"I want you to save Tiamat and prevent her from being killed." Abzu said to him.

"But why don't you do it yourself? You survived didn't you?" Zadkiel asked him.

"That may be so, but I have been severely weakened. And even if I were to go I doubt I could defeat Tiamat." Abzu said causing Zadkiel to blink his eyes in confusion.

"Wait, why do you want to defeat Tiamat if you wish to protect her?" Zadkiel asked confused.

"What I want is not to defeat my children, I never had much interest in the throne or my position and neither did Tiamat. But our children does not see that and consider us threats. I wish to bring her out of harms way, but she would surely attack me." Abzu said to him.

"But why would she do that? Surely she must know that you wish to help her?" Zadkiel said to him.

"It is not so simple. I am the Primordial God of Oceans and Fresh Water while she is the Primordial Goddess of Oceans and Sea Water. But there is one factor that distinguishes us from each other." Abzu said causing Zadkiel to become curious.

"And that is?" Zadkiel asked him.

"Wisdom. I, as with my title as the God of Wisdom naturally possess a vast amount of it, however Tiamat is more akin to a beast than a Goddess." Abzu said to him.

"So she thinks and acts like a beast rather than an intelligent being?" Zadkiel asked him as he tried to make sense of his words.

"Yes, currently she is fighting back because she is feeling threatened by her children. And it has reached the point that she sees everything except her monsters as her enemy. And considering my current state I cannot battle with her." Abzu said to him seriously.

"And so you want me to fight her since I had battled and repelled the Titan army and the Primordial Goddess Gaia." Zadkiel said to him getting a nod from him.

"Yes, but make no mistake. Unlike Gaia, Tiamat is not as weak as well and knows how to use her immense power. While she can't be called as a warrior, she can be called as a terrifying beast that mows down all those who stand against her. In that case, only someone with enough power and skill can defeat her." Abzu said to him.

"But what would your children think if they were to see me interfering in their affairs. Even if it is not a rule like with the True Primordial's, it is common knowledge that the disputes of a pantheon should be corrected within the pantheon itself. Having a member of another pantheon interfering is not counted as a good thing." Zadkiel said to him.

'Of course, I couldn't care less about that. I will help if I can but I need to understand what he thinks about the situation.' Zadkiel thought to himself as he looked at the God.

"An astute question, yet I only wish for the well being of my sister. She is a naive but kind fool who loves her children very much, so much so that she doesn't even entertain the possibility that they might turn to her. And now that they have, she is hurting and soon she will be slain and she doesn't have the knowledge I possess to escape like me. She would most likely give her all in the battle and perish. I do not wish for that outcome to occur." Abzu said to him as he looked at the angel with determined eyes.

"You have already decided then." Zadkiel said with a smile.

"Yes, I ask thee, Zadkiel, one of God's Archangels, Guardian of Heaven, and the King of Salt, to protect Tiamat and bring her to safety." Abzu said to him seriously.

Zadkiel stood still before closing his eyes and going over his words before opening them as he looked at the giant God, then he showed a small smile on his face.

"I accept your request Primordial God Abzu. I shall bring Tiamat back safely." Zadkiel said to him.

"Thank you." Abzu said with a small bow.

"Since you have decided you must make haste my son. The longer it takes, the closer Tiamat comes to her own demise." God said as he had observed the conversation from the side.

"Thank you Father. I'll go immediately." Zadkiel said to him as he fully extended his wings.

God nodded with a smile before Zadkiel flashed away from there. God then looked at Abzu who looked back at him.

"Now then Abzu, tell me, how is your Father doing?" God asked him with a smile.
