17 Chapter 16
Zadkiel created a claymore of salt and flew to Kronos and raised his weapon for an overhead swing. But Kronos didn't let up and slashed with his own weapon and though Zadkiel put a resistance to it the scythe sliced through the angels weapon.
Zadkiel dodged the scythe and looked at the rest of his weapon which soon disappeared. He looked at Kronos who is glaring at him as he gripped his weapon. Zadkiel could easily see the divine energy imbued in the weapon and knew that it is quite powerful, part of the reason the weapon was able to kill the Primordial.
'Hm, I guess it should be expected now. That is a weapon which was able to kill a Primordial God like Ouranos so it isn't a surprise to me that it sliced through my claymore. I should probably use more power.' Zadkiel thought to himself as he gathered his power.
Kronos meanwhile is looking at his weapon as he gained more confidence when he sliced the salt weapon easily.
'My Harpe was able to slice through his weapon easily. I just have to make sure that I destroy every one of his weapons and then kill him. And this time I will cut his body to pieces and keep his head as a trophy.' Kronos thought to himself.
(A/N: I looked at the net and it said that Kronos's scythe is called Harpe and is made of Adamantine, which is ancient Greek for Diamond. So according to myth, Kronos used a weapon made out of pure diamond to kill his father which makes sense since diamond is the hardest metal we know, or I know anyway.)
Zadkiel just smirked a bit and made another weapon but this time the weapon he made was different than the ones he made before. This one has much more holy power inside it and this one seemed to be much more solid than the last. To Kronos and his army's surprise, his weapon took the form of a scythe.
"Are you mocking me!?" Kronos said in anger when he saw the weapon which formed right in front of him.
"Don't know? Why don't you come and find out?" Zadkiel said to him as he twirled his weapon in his right arm.
Kronos shot forward and raised his weapon over his head, using his control over time to increase his speed and brought his weapon down on him. Zadkiel however didn't seem fazed as he raised his own created scythe. Both weapons nearly met but didn't as great wind currents started to come from in between the two weapons.
The divine energy in Harpe and the holy energy that Zadkiel imbued in his own scythe clashed in the middle as both weapons weren't able to meet. The Titan army looked at the spectacle with wide eyes.
"No way. He even managed to stop the weapon made by Lady Gaia." Selene said shocked.
"We, We can't beat him. We don't possess that much power." Hecate said terrified.
"Now you realise that?" Nike said as she kneeled in the ground.
Her arms were being healed by Hecate as she watched.
'I thought that Lord Kronos is terrifying but. That Angel, that angel is the one who is actually terrifying.' Nike thought to herself.
Meanwhile Kronos is stunned that his attack is being stopped by the Angel with a weapon he had made not too long ago. Zadkiel then pushed with enough force to make Kronos stumble back and attacked. Kronos used his powers again to block his attack as wind picked up from it as he is being pushed back.
Zadkiel then flew back before attacking as Kronos blocked it. After that Zadkiel started to spin the scythe expertly around his body and started to attack Kronos relentlessly as the Titan King tried to block it with his own scythe. Shockwaves formed from their clashes as the Titans raised their arms to cover their faces.
'Tch, this is getting nowhere.' Kronos thought to himself with an irritated look.
Then he created a bit of distance between the two fo them and then gave a mental order to all the Titans. The Titans widened their eyes when they heard the order and though they were hesitant on following it which is understandable considering the amount of power Zadkiel has shown they ultimately decided to comply.
Kronos then attacked Zadkiel as the angel blocked his attacks with much more fitnesse and perfection than the Titan King. Then Kronos managed to make Zadkiel turn his back to his army as he fought him. Using this chance the Titan army threw projectiles at the angel.
Hecate and those who were proficient in using their divine energies shot it at the angel while while the ones who were more used to using physical force threw weapons at the angel. Both attacks combined and raced at the angel and would reach the angel in just 5 seconds.
"Is this your plan?" Zadkiel asked the king as he had already sensed the attack.
"Huh?" Kronos let out confused.
"You call yourself the Titan of Time right? Well then child, let me show you what power over time actually is." Zadkiel said before using more power to push the Titan King back before turning to the attack.
Zadkiel raised his hand towards the projectiles while the Titan Army and Kronos watched. Zadkiel's eyes glowed as his Halo glowed as well.
"Stop." Zadkiel said in a commanding tone.
No sooner than he said it the attacks stopped in their tracks. Even the energies covering the weapons were frozen as they stayed in the air. Zadkiel smiled at his handiwork before he looked at the Titan army.
Each and every one of the Titans, including the 12 Titans and the younger Titans and every single one of the remaining Titans in the army were frozen in their place. Zadkiel looked at he Titan King himself and he is pleased to see that he himself is also frozen in place.
But the thing that he noticed is that his weapon Harpe is still glowing as its aura is moving signifying that it is still very much able to be used. Then he noticed Kronos's eyes start to flicker and soon after his whole body moved and he stumbled forward a bit before looking at Zadkiel surprised as he saw his whole army frozen along with their attack. Not to mention he himself was also frozen in time as well.
"How...?" Kronos said dumbfounded.
"I have no obligation to tell you anything." Zadkiel said to him.
He then waved his hand and the Titan army is also able to move. But then they caught sight of how their attack has frozen in the air and they could even see the energies being frozen.
"N-No way." Hecate said shocked before she lost the strength in her legs and collapsed on the ground as she has a terrified look.
"Hecate?" Nike questioned her with a scared look as well.
"H-He, He has stopped time." Hecate said stuttering in fear.
Those words, when those words left her mouth every Titan looked at the angel, no, the monster in front of them and felt fear, absolute fear. Greater fear than even that which is possessed by Kronos over his subjects.
"Rewind." Zadkiel said in his commanding tone.
The next second the projectiles started to go back. The weapon and energies separated and went back to their user's while the army were stunned to see it. The energy user's looked at themselves while the ones who used the weapons looked at their weapons.
They looked at Zadkiel who is floating in the sky with an amused smile on his face.
"I knew it was a bad idea to do this." Prometheus muttered to himself in dismay as he slowly started to back more and more away.
Zadkiel seeing the terrified expressions on their faces knew that the army won't try anything against him, though he isn't about to let down his guard. Whether his opponent be weak or strong he won't be arrogant enough to let down his guard.
'Now that I look at it, is has been 19 minutes since I started to attack the Titans. I should end this quickly and get to helping Heaven now. I have given them enough chances to back out.' Zadkiel thought to himself.
He then turned and looked at Kronos who stiffed when he saw the angel looking at him as he got ready with his blade.
"Time to end this Kronos." Zadkiel said as he wings fully expanded as his halo shone.
Kronos gripped his scythe more tightly as he felt sweat on his brow as he anxiously looked at the angel. This however caused the king to not feel the pulsing that is being sent by his Harpe as he got ready to meet his blade.
