21 New enemy

A war.

A rather horrible event, whoever it might concern.

But despite that, it is still used as a fast and effective method to obtain something that one side wants the most.

Human wars are also horrible and bloody, but they are nothing compared to the wars that are led by Supernatural World.

Billions upon billions of different creatures are giving away their lives to obtain glory and resources for their faction or nation. The most horrifying war that has ever befallen the whole world is however the war between the Three Factions; Angels, Fallen Angels, and Devils fighting with each other.

Sadly, it did not end there. As the Three Factions were huge, the rest of the world would not miss such a grand opportunity. Weaker factions were dragged in by others, while stronger searched for revenge or juicy loot, that they could obtain from such a grand war, that would arise only once upon millennia.

All factions, pantheons, and groups that were somehow connected to the Supernatural World participated in that war, except for dragons. Dragons were too prideful to ally themselves with someone, and they did not really have any organization to lead them.

The rest of the humans of course did not know about this war, even if it was such a huge event. Even though humans were weak, extremely weak, they were extremely useful for every faction. Gods gathered faith from them, Devils made contracts, Vampires saw them as a source of blood, and so on.

The Devils marched and attacked Heaven and the territory of Fallen Angels. Fallen Angels attacked Heaven and Devils territory in Underworld. And Angels with Church attacked the whole Underworld, all that was in their sight, so they could exterminate enemies of their Lord.

Vampires made a temporary ally with Devils and attacked Church and Angels. Fallen Angels did not really ally with anyone, and attacked all their sight landed on. They always thought of themselves as the pinnacle of conscious beings, as such, they were really arrogant. Angels had a Church for their ally and some humans, that were gifted with a present from God, a Sacred Gear.

Sacred Gears were extremely powerful weapons and tools, that were made by God of the Bible. The strongest type of the Sacred Gears was Longinus. There were not many of them, but it was told that they had enough strength to kill even gods.

After a few years of the war, all Factions suffered huge losses. Especially notable were losses of Devils, Fallen Angels, and Angels, as they died on the battlefield, while even a few gods from different factions were killed. Japan Factions were mostly defending Japan and did not really participate in the war. Though, Shinto Pantheon still sent out some people from Five Principal Clans.

In the tenth year of the war, losses were even more. Nearly a billion Devils already died in the war, same with other sides.

Right at the moment, a huge, yet common battle was going on the borders of Devils' territory in the Underworld. 20 legions of devils, which consisted of 1,000,000 devils, and 14 legions full of fallen angels, which consisted of 700,000 fallen angels in the summary, were fighting each other.

Several huge light spears were fired from the Fallen Angels' side, while Devils quickly made a huge barrier to block the attack. Several devils then proceeded to attack with fire magic. Fallen angels did not have time to put up a barrier, and suffered several losses that would count up to at least 1,000.

Like this, a fierce battle was going on, but it quickly changed, as a huge, several kilometers wide teleportation circle appeared on the ground. From it, strange creatures emerged. Some of them clearly resembled humans, some looked like a mix of different weird beings, and some had the distinctive shape of humanoid creatures, but were definitely not humans.

In front of the army, were three people. A beautiful woman, with silky pink hair that was divided into two ponytails, with nine beautiful foxtails, that were the same color as her hair and two pointy fox ears. She wore some kind of blue witch attire, with a blue ribbon that tied her ponytail.

The next person was a smiling black-haired man. He wore casual dark kimono, black socks, and wooden sandals. His smile seemed to be friendly and yet others felt uneasy when they saw it.

And the last person that was between the man and a woman, was yet another man. He had spiky pink hair and four dark crimson eyes that shined brightly. He had black markings all over his face and body. The man also possessed nine foxtails, but they were red in color. What was strange that he had foxtails, yet he had no fox ears. He wore a light-colored kimono with a black edge, a black scarf, and wooden sandals with black socks.

When the pink-haired man saw that the devils and fallen angels stopped fighting to see who was the newcomer, he grinned with a large wicked smile. It immediately sent shivers down their spines. They knew that a newcomer was terrifying. Even their ruthless commanders could not compare to him.

He did not utter even a word and just stepped forward. The step seemed to be a normal one, yet it was not. They felt that the earth underneath was moved by some kind of energy. Some of them, who specialized in sensing, felt actually two kinds of energies. They could not recognize the energy type, yet they felt extremely threatened by it.

When a man, made a seemingly normal step, their instincts immediately started to scream to run away as fast as possible. Those that were still on the ground quickly revealed their wings and flew off the ground. But sadly, it did not help. When the ground shakes were already under the devils and fallen angels, a lot of stone spikes were suddenly sent out from the ground.

Many of them did not expect this, and they were brutally pierced by spikes. They were left with a giant hole in their bodies on top of the spikes, writhing in agony. As commanders saw their soldiers dying, they overcame their shock and started quickly reorganizing their armies.

Sadly for them, they were too slow. Different types of beings that were behind the nine-tailed man rushed towards them. They were extremely fast. In just dozens of seconds, they already reached devils and fallen angels, and a fierce carnage resumed once again. Devils and fallen angels tried to repel the third side, but they barely even managed to hit them. They were able to kill only weird-looking monsters, but they understood that those were most likely cannon fodder.

After an hour of brutal yet quick battle, almost all devils and fallen angels were dead. Only a bunch of the stronger ones were left alive, so they could acquire information from them. But after a bit of torture, they gave up all information. Though, some of them were fairly stronger-willed and did not give up so easily. After getting all the important information, they decided to kill them. They just ordered the monsters to eat them, which the latter gladly did, as the strong enemies were always a good meal for them.

The pink-haired man was not participating in the torture session, instead, he summoned a throne, that was fully made of skulls, from a magic circle, and sat on it, waiting for the information his subordinates were currently acquiring from fallen angels and devils. As many who have seen him in the past would immediately recognize that pink-haired demon as Sukuna.

After he sat on his majestic throne, he also summoned a small round table and two other chairs. Tamamo and Kenjaku, who were always by his sides, quickly took their seats.

"That definitely was a good start for us. This way, other factions will soon know about one more side intervening with the war. It seems that our preparations paid off, as Devils and Fallen Angels could barely kill any of our Special Grades. Though, as we feared, Fallen Angels do some more damage to us than Devils do. But it is not a big loss." Kenjaku analyzed the small battle that was going on half an hour before.

Even though Fallen Angels fell from Heaven, they still had their holy powers. As the holy power contains a lot of light elements, it is extremely efficient against creatures with dark elements. Devils are beings with dark elements mostly, so they are naturally weaker against creatures with light elements. Curses, Curse Users, and Sorcerers are mostly creatures with dark elements, so they also have a natural weakness against light elemental beings.

"They are just a little bit annoying, nothing much. And it is not like a huge gap in strength will not solve the problem, so we have nothing to worry about. Three Factions mostly have a quantity advantage, while we have a quality advantage. I just hope that we can meet someone powerful to test my strength on. It is still fun to trample masses of ants, however, I would like to measure my new power on someone." Sukuna said.

After obtaining a new body, and consuming all his body parts, his strength immediately jumped in power levels. Before his "death", Sukuna could easily fight against Satan-class level beings, he maybe would not win against pinnacle Satan-class levels, but he could easily take intermediate ones.

After he consumed all his body parts, his strength easily went over that of a Satan-class. As far as he knows, all beings that overcame Satan-class level strength, are those that could be called Transcendental Beings. They are truly monstrous, and only a few in this world have that strength. Of course, there are still those that are stronger than others, even if they belong to one category of strength.

While everyone was thinking to themselves, a Special Grade Cursed Spirit that was in command of the army came towards them. He immediately kneeled respectfully and opened his mouth to say all the information they acquired. "Devils' and Fallen Angels' information matches with our own. A large battle is going on in the Heavens. Devils allied with Vampires are marching towards Angels, and anyone they could find in Heaven. Even though they are at a natural disadvantage, they have a large numerous advantage, or so they say at least. Angels are right now fighting on borders of Fallen Angels territory and are heavily ambushed. Another faction of Vampires is holding back the Church and Sacred Gear users on Earth, in the middle of Europe. That is all important information that we could acquire, Sukuna-sama."

"Good. Prepare the army, we are leaving soon, as there is nothing left here. We could take advantage and attack the Devils' territory, destroy the Church and Vampires, or destroy Heaven... Heh~, so many choices." Sukuna pondered for a little and then said towards the still kneeling Cursed Spirit: "Contact the Kingdom. Tell the other legions to be ready. You are going to attack Devils."

"It shall be done, Sukuna-sama." Cursed Spirit bowed once more, and left to proceed with the command that he was given.

"And what you are going to do?" Tamamo asked Sukuna. She did not miss how he said that only his legions will attack the Devils' territory, so she wondered what Sukuna will do.

"I planned to go to attack Heaven. Many said that the Biblical God should be strong. I wonder if it is true... I also planned to take Abeloth with me. He has not been causing chaos recently. And it shall be fixed. I also would like to know how much he truly grew in strength with all those years." He then looked at the purple sky for a while and sighed. "You can come along as well..." He knows that nothing will stop her from coming with him. The only way to actually stop her from doing so is to get rid of her, which he does not have plans to do.

When Tamamo heard it, she grinned excitedly. She was so bored for more than a hundred years, and now she can finally have fun with pigeons. She could also take her lovely Adalina with her. This will be fun, she thought to herself.
