First treasure.

Some changes on the items and order by me. It's fanfic so I guess I can do that.

" Damn, this is tiring. " Mahisha muttered while breathing heavily as he held the long neck of Naga King Vasuki in his hands.

" heh, take it as a form of training. " Andhaka spoke with a chuckle as he once again pulled the ' rope ' in his hands with all his strength.

Behind him stood ten more Asuras, all of whom had tired and helpless looks on their faces.

Opposite of him stood Indra with ten devas behind him and they were also in the same condition.

The Churning of the cosmic ocean was proving to be a more difficult task than any of them had imagined.

They had been continuously working back and forth like slaves for seven months now and not even a single thing sprang up from the ocean until now.

Normally running continuously for a year wouldn't have been much harder for a good class being but this was on a completely different level.

The Mountain didn't move even a little until they gave a huge and strong effect in doing that. The Churning of the cosmic ocean was really a very hard process which tested the mentality and physicality of both the great races of the Hindu pantheon.

Since only ten people were needed from each race at a time, they were able to get sufficient rest before once again back to working like slaves.

The Devas were better in this regard as they had a total of fifty gods, so they went easily in batches of five and hence every one of them was able to get sufficient rest.

While the Devas and Asuras played rope pulling with Vasuki, the Trimurti leisurely floated high above in the air and looked at the Gods below them with smiling faces which only made Andhaka more irritated.

Another thing which also surprised Andhaka was how durable and stretchy Vasuki's skin was.

The Asuras and Devas both pulled his ends like maniacs continuously for seven months and the bastard was still okay without any discomfort.

The tail of the Naga king was held by the Devas and the area around its head was held by the Asuras, it may result in the tragedy of Vasuki ' mistakenly' poisoning the Asuras but the Naga king had already taken an oath to not let any poison out to injure the Asuras.

"Hah, Ki-King? When will these said treasures come out? If we went like this then we will die of exhaustion until the Amrita comes out. " Mahisha spoke once again while pulling back the rope once again with all his strength.

" at least we are performing better than those Deva bastards. " Andhaka spoke with some self-consolation.

This task was physically very exhausting but since they were the top races in the supernatural racial order, their recovery rates were unnaturally god-like.

So even if they didn't have five shifts like the Devas but still there had been many instances when the Asuras had caused members of Devas to fall down in the ocean due to pulling the 'rope' too forcefully and now this was serving as one of their major motivations, make the Devas fall again.

Andhaka didn't want to give too much of an amazing performance as he was supposed to be hiding his strength, so sometimes he had to come back despite still being capable enough to go for another prolonged period.

Still judging by pure work contribution, he was best among both the races by far and had even nearly brought the High God class Air God Vayu on his knees due to pulling too hard.

Ignoring the sweat which trickled down his beautiful and handsome face he looked at the new head of Devas in this shift, The Death God Yamaraj, among the Devas, he along with the God of Karma and Justice Shani were the only ones who were in the same generation as him so this had inadvertently fueled a sense of competition in him.

And to prove him right, Yama also pulled as fiercely as Andhaka and a heated competition once again started between the Devas and the Asuras.

2 MONTHS LATER.

" Damn it, how long will this hell go on? Are you telling me that to get the Amrita we have to work like slaves for years? " Vali the bastard son of Indra shouted loudly while slumping on the ocean and due to the Water God's enhancement he didn't sink down in the ocean.

Andhaka also had more or less the same opinion as Vali but didn't say anything as even Indra hadn't said anything then why should he?

But he didn't know that Indra on the other side also had the same thoughts.

He can't speak up anything before the young Asura king in front of him, as it will be like giving up, no matter how tired he feels, he won't say anything, this was a battle of wills and a greater battle of two superegos.

~~~~~~
1 YEAR SINCE THE START OF THE CHURNING.
" Aaaaaahhgghhh pull it with all your strength Asuras. " Andhaka shouted with excitement despite the physical strain weighing on his body.
The Ocean in front of them was now glowing, glowing in a shade of bright red...something was probably gonna come out soon and this discovery made both the Asuras and Devas start churning the ocean like a bunch of mad maniacs.
" COME ON OUT. " Indra also shouted from his end.
Finally, the bright red glow turned into a large flash of red and a small red-coloured gemstone floated just above the submerged peak of Mount Mandara.
The stone wasn't bigger than a small pebble, around the size of a table tennis ball if going by normal standards and had a dark red glow all over it, just like the shade of red Andhaka had in his hair.
" I need it. " Andhaka muttered with a ferocious smile on his face. He doesn't know what exactly that item is, but since his gut feeling says that it is something good for him, then he needs it. He barely controlled his instinct which told him to just quickly grab the item.
Apart from the reddish glow and its expensive look, the gem didn't appear to be much of a treasure anyway but it was the first treasure to come out of the Churning and so now even the Devas wanted it, even if used as a decorative piece but they also needed to get it, to get the first item in the Samudra Manthana.
" We the Devas have come to the decision that we will contest for this mysterious Gem. " Indra spoke while looking at Andhaka's annoyed face with a grin.
" The Asuras are also contesting for this mysterious Gem and although we don't what it is, I feel like I am the perfect match for it. " Andhaka also spoke while turning his face towards the Trimurti.
The air of rivalry and competition once again broke out between the two great races as nobody wanted to back off now, it didn't matter if the treasure was just some trash, since they said it, then they want it.
" Whoever takes this one will miss out on the next one. No matter what it is, are you still willing to take the chances? " Shiva spoke with a slight smile and the lively atmosphere suddenly quietened down.
' .....
" Brother leave it. It's most probably some beautiful jewel and nothing else. We don't need to take such a big risk for this thing. " Agni the fire god spoke while looking at a gemstone floating above the ocean.
" Yes. Although we don't know what is next but we also know that we get no benefit from this gem. " Surya also nodded and looked at his brother who also making his decision in his mind.
The thought that Andhaka said he feels like he is the perfect match for the gem didn't cross the minds of the devas much as they just thought it to be a simple bluff and nothing more.
" Lord Shiva since my nephew likes this gem so much and considers himself as it's a perfect match then I would like to gladly back off and not be a thorn in this matter. " Indra spoke respectfully as if he was backing off solely for doing goodwill to Andhaka.
' Hehe, I will properly let you know how to be a thorn then. ' Andhaka thought while looking at Indra.
" Then please take it, Asura King. This gem is yours. " A black fantasmal hand quickly emerged from Andhaka's back and darted towards the gem, quickly snatching it and bringing it back to Andhaka.
Feeling the coldness emanating from the blood-coloured gemstone, Andhaka smiled a little without even knowing but soon quickly concealed his emotions.
Just holding the gem made his blood jump around with excitement. Although he still wasn't clear about the right use of the gem he was confident in one thing. It was a treasure, a real treasure for him.
But in all this, he failed to notice the slight vibration from his mask.
" what is it, Asura King? Did you find any use for it? " even the Trimurti also looked at Andhaka with some curiosity after hearing Indra's question.
" nothing at the moment but I am sure to find it in future. " Andhaka spoke with a perfect poker face, not wanting to let the devas and Trimurti know that he was extremely happy to get this gem.
" five minutes later the churning will start once again. " All the participants had their mood dumped to the ground after hearing Brahma.
Andhaka turned back to look at his Asuras and spoke quietly.
"This gem isn't wasteful. We will talk about it later when we go back. "
" King...you don't have to worry about us thinking something bad. We believe you. " Mahisha spoke quickly with a smile on his face and Andhaka nodded at him a little gratefully.
At the start, he was a little doubtful towards Mahisha but as time passed, Andhaka is grateful that he took the riskier option at the time of releasing Mahisha from jail.
Although there are many Asuras extremely loyal to him like Mahisha but loyalty wasn't that big of a rare case in the Hindu pantheon but an extremely smart and handy loyal Asura like Mahisha was extremely rare.
4 MONTHS LATER.
Looking at the herd of white-coloured divine elephants, Andhaka didn't have much disappointment.
Looking at the Divine elephants which seemed to radiate light and righteousness by just standing there, this item wasn't for the Asuras at all and the Asuras won't accept to ride it even if given for free.
But he still had a little regret upon seeing the leader of the herd, the Divine Elephant Airavata become Indra's mount. The elephants were sentient beings from their emergence and had good strength along with good intelligence.
The majestic-looking Elephant King was most probably a high god class or probably near it.
" Another race under the Devas. " Andhaka chuckled a little at Svarbhanu's words and just shook his head lightly.
" what difference will it make? "
~~~~~

6 MONTHS LATER.

Looking at the High god class ' Deva ' produced from the Samudra Manthan, the faces of all the Asuras were swollen and furious and to add pain to their wounds, they couldn't do anything about it.

There wasn't a god for nearly everything in Hindu mythology, at least yet and one such thing was the Moon, as a cheap opposite of the majestic Sun there wasn't any personification or godly deity with powers of the moon but that was until now.

On the third number treasure from Samudra Manthan came out the fully matured and adult Moon God Chandra, and even though the God himself choose to be included in Shiva's ganas instead of The Devas and be adorned on Shiva's head like Vasuki but still, how can a Deva be produced in the Samudra Manthan, and Yes, this Moon God was a deva by biology.

" We don't have to be this sour. Don't forget how me and Jalandhara were born, so this isn't something that strange. " Andhaka spoke calmly with peace, at least the Moon God didn't choose to go to the Devas.

But still, since a Deva can be produced then so can be an Asura..... After all, what is bad in hoping that it happens?

As Andhaka was lost in his thoughts he suddenly turned his head to his left and looked at the vast ocean with a unclear look.

Something was coming, and it was coming to them very fast.

~~~~~~
As the figure drew near them with its Super Godlike speed, people other than Andhaka and Trimurti also noticed it, including the Devas and their King Indra.
The speed was impressive even for Andhaka, but as the figure grew closer to them, the unclear look on his face changed to that of glee and pride.
The familiar dark energy of the Asuras emanated wildly from the figure and even before it could enter in their eye range, Andhaka had a name in his mind.
" So you finally got up stupid brother. " Andhaka chuckled with a happy smile as the stalwart figure of Kalanemi entered their eyes.
He wasn't in his normal large asura-looking body but instead, it was a beautiful and human-like body he had assumed during his spar against Andhaka.
More than two years had passed since in a blur but he had never once forgotten to think about the safety of his two little brothers.
Well while Andhaka and the Asuras were pleased the same couldn't be said for the Devas.
Having immense speed is one thing. If going purely by speed then Vayu ( Air god ) among the Devas could compare with this speed but the wild, powerful and ominous aura surging from Kalanemi was enough to birth fear even in the hearts of some major Deva Gods.
" Stronger than Prahlada." The Devas didn't even need a demonstration of his powers and could still come around to the frightening fact that there was another person in the Asura ranks who could maybe rival Indra, and some even had the thought that Kalanemi was capable enough to defeat Indra at this moment.
~~~~~

Kalanemi stopped in front of Andhaka and then hugged his brother's open arms.

The damped and sweat-filled body of his big brother didn't disgust him a bit as he was glad that his brother was so receptive to him today.

" idiot, are you totally fine? If not then you can go back the same way from which you came. " Andhaka spoke in a strict tone.

" I am totally fine now big brother and how can I miss this? " Kalanemi spoke while stretching his hands around, "Would you have missed such a big thing if you were injured and still thought I am totally fine? And also I am not a child..... "

Feeling the dark yet blazing eyes of his brother he smiled slightly with confidence.

Many things have changed within him from his past self. He wasn't unconscious even for a second since he ' passed out ' in his spar against his big bro, instead, his mind was wide awake and his body went into a coma-like state to adjust to the great changes which had occurred in that battle.

So he could hear all the things Andhaka and Mahisha talked about, all the rants his brother gave to his unconscious self and how much time he spent near his and Jalandhara's beds.

Before he had immense respect and longing for his big brother but now he truly felt how lucky he was to have Andhaka as his brother.

His brother was very cold and a little arrogant on the outside but in reality, he cared a lot for his family and his people, the typical common trait among the Asuras.

"Since you say 'you are ok ' then I guess it will work and little brother, you are just a kid for me and If you want to rebel then you will just have to defeat me and believe me when I say this..... Last time I just didn't beat you like I beat others. "

Kalanemi quickly nodded with sweat appearing on his forehead, all that swag and confidence going down the drain as he nodded like a little chicken in front of his big brother.

" Better, don't forget that I am also your king apart from your brother and as a king, all the Asuras are equal to me.....unless they are weak. " Saying this Andhaka tucked Kalanemi behind him in the line and then looked at the Trimurti.

" the first demon Kings son and my little brother, the Asura prince Kalanemi " Andhaka spoke calmly while gesturing towards Kal.

" I am sorry for the commotion and delay in the process, why don't we start it quickly? Unlike the others, I am quite energetic at the moment. " Kalanemi spoke with a smile after greeting the Trimurti and ignoring the Devas.

" Asura Kalanemi how did you reach here? From what I remember, I had put barriers around here to hide this place. " Brahma asked with some curiosity.

" !!!! There were barriers around here? " Kalanemi asked strangely, " and I had a gut feeling about the ritual site being somewhere in this direction but still I had wandered around in this ocean for two months," he replied with a little hehe.

" !!!!! " hearing Kalanemi's words, a look of shock and surprise flashed through Brahma's face and then he burst out laughing loudly, " Hahahahaha, "

Kalanemi had the urge to ask why he was laughing but then controlled his mind as he wasn't in the position to ask questions to the Trimurti.

" then let's start the ritual once again. " Brahma spoke while glancing at Kalanemi one last time with an appreciative look.

Only three to four minutes had transpired since all this happened and the Deva-Asuras went back to work even before the said five minutes.

" Let's go, dear Lord Vasuki. " Andhaka spoke with a smile while cruelly gripping the snake, this has been one of the greater inspirations of most of the Asuras during these past two years, it can be said that Vasuki had half the credit for the Asura's explosive performance.

Vasuki on the other hand skin as thick as the strongest of walls, even after two years of abuse by the devas and Asuras he was still fine and just looked at Andhaka boringly before turning his the other way.

Andhaka controlled himself from using all his strength and just.....squeeze the sht out of this damn snake but he couldn't, so he just smiled and gripped harder.

" What do you think brother what will come next? " Kalanemi asked after he was filled in by Mahisha about the events that had transpired so far.

" Who knows? "
