36 Chapter 36

"Well... now I am back." Landing in his bed, Issei decided to take a shower first, and after taking one and laying down on the bed... Issei began thinking to himself... 'What am I going to do now? I'm already two hours late to school...'

Before he could drift off to sleep... He heard the door opening. "Now you finally want to be back?"

"Mom... I didn't mean to be gone for so long..."

"Now you're calling me mom too... didn't think you were this bold." Widening his eyes and snapping his head to see Artemis standing in front of him with a teasing smile, Issei could only chuckle lightly.

"Umm... What are you doing here?"

"Oh... now you don't want to see me?"

"No! Not that, I was just... shocked to see you here..."

"Well... your mother decided to let me stay here until you come back."

"... Oh... okay..."

"Didn't I say I wouldn't let you leave me... Now, will you leave me again?"

"No... Now, what do you need me to do?" That was when Issei felt a presence in front of the door, Artemis felt it as well. Taking action first, Issei grabbed Artemis's hand before she could do anything rash. "Wait here... I'll check who's in front of the house."

"You won't be going alone." Artemis sharply said while staring Issei in the eyes.

Knowing that this woman wouldn't let him go, Issei nodded but said, "Just stay a little behind."

Artemis sighed and nodded, at least she wouldn't be allowing Issei to go alone. Walking to the front door, Issei was met with his mother already greeting the guest. "Sirzechs... what are you doing here?"

There stood Sirzechs Lucifer and his wife, Grayfia, at the front door. Artemis was bewildered by seeing the strongest devil in history in front of her. There was no way that she would even be able to harm such an entity. Grasping Issei's hand in fear of something bad happening, Issei simply patted her head and walked forwards.

"I'm guessing something big must have happened."

"That something is the fact that you saved the three factions from going to war, saved my little sister again, and saved me from doing paperwork while I visit you." Sirzechs received a small glare from his wife, which he decided to ignore. "Don't worry... I have a proper reward ready to give you after a certain event."

Issei's mother was long gone by now seeing as though she wasn't needed. She was back in the kitchen continuing her cooking. Issei's father was sleeping on the couch... long, hard day at work.

"I really have saved your sister multiple times already... Now I'm here saving the factions from war... what's next, saving the world from a disaster?" Issei joked, causing for Sirzechs to light heartedly chuckle.

"Who knows... you might be able to. Anyways, I wanted to invite you to a meeting between the three factions. We're planning on having a peace treaty between the factions. I wanted to bring the hero of the devil faction with us. Wait a second... that divine energy... is that Artemis, the Goddess of the Moon?" Pointing to Artemis, who stiffened upon being noticed by the Lucifer, Issei simply nodded. "Not only do you have the favor of the devils... but you also are acquainted with a Goddess. You really are extraordinary, Issei."

"Sirzechs... How is Rias? Is she fine? I wasn't able to check up on her and her peerage after the fight..."

Smiling at Issei, Sirzechs was super grateful that Rias had a friend like Issei... someone that wanted to make sure that she was safe. "She's perfectly fine... she is far more worried about your health than herself."

"I'm just glad to hear that..."

"Also... I have heard about you skipping school for a few days. You do know that tomorrow is family visits... right?"

Issei widened his eyes and coughed, "What? Damn it! Now I have to go to school tomorrow."

Sirzechs chuckled, "Come on... education isn't that bad." Grayfia nodded, but Sirzechs's eyes were betraying what he was saying.

Sirzechs knew that education was slightly overrated for beings in the supernatural world as power would triumph all. Fame brought money and status... fame came from power and wealth.

"Anyways... I'll come... when is the meeting?"

"Tomorrow... at night, at your school as well."

"... You chose the school, didn't you?" Sirzechs shook his head, Issei turned to Grayfia.

"This idiot did..." Grayfia nonchalantly exposed Sirzechs, earning a gasp from her husband.

"I would-"

"Don't test me Sirzechs."

"Yes Grayfia..."

Artemis watched the interaction with amazement in seeing such a powerful man being so... afraid of his wife. If the Lucifer was this afraid of his wife and submissive to his wife... then, what could Artemis do with Issei? Smiling deviously, Artemis looked at Issei while he continued staring at Sirzechs. Wrapping her arms around his, Artemis had a couple of plans.

"Anyways... I need to leave before I get in trouble. I'll see you then Issei... bye!"

"See you later Sirzechs. It was also nice seeing you as well Grayfia."

Grayfia smiled and walked up to Issei before giving him a warm hug. "Sometimes I can't believe you're still a child. Take care of yourself, and don't do anything harmful." With that, Sirzechs and Grayfia both teleported away.

"Issei... can we talk about things? I really want to spend time with you..."

"Oh boy..."

After a little bit of talking with one another... it was time for Artemis to sleep.

"Wait... Issei, you should sleep as well." Artemis said while getting under the covers on Issei's bed.

"I'll be back in a little bit... just... give a couple of hours..."

Artemis slump into the bed... Issei noticed this and that was when the big lizard decided to make his presence known in Issei's head.

"I really suggest staying with her... she really has been waiting for you."

Taking in his partner's words... Issei decided that he could grind tomorrow. Walking to Artemis, the Goddess looked up in hope to see Issei getting in the covers with her. "Fine... Let's sleep together..."

Squealing, Artemis immediately brought Issei into a bone crushing hug before closing her eyes. Even with his immense strength, he was nowhere near Artemis in power.

With that... the two drifted off to sleep...
