"What the fuck is that?" Issei had a stick in hand and poked the slug in the ground. It was black and was moving... he didn't even know why it was slowly rushing towards him when it knew it didn't have a chance to beat him.
The slug only... crawled on the ground. Issei slammed his hand onto it and ended its existence.
How many times did he level up? Six or seven times... he kind of lost count after he continued exploring the area. What did he find out about the area? That he hated the place greatly...
The only thing he had been fighting was giants... a whole bunch of giants... however, now he was in front of a large room. The vast space inside the room was massive, enough for him to easily dash around without any issues.
"Boss time... how much more obvious could you be?" Issei wasn't that much of an idiot to know this was a boss's area.

Landing in front of him was a one of the most hideous looking giants he had ever seen. With his humanoid body being easily ten times larger than Issei and his body filled with deep cuts to the point where the bones would be exposed at time, the eyes filled with anger. Issei was confused if the boss was an undead titan or still alive...
"Human... it's been hundreds of years since I have seen a fresh human. My body has rotten since its prime... for my strength has descended down to the mortal realm. I am King, the very man that the giants follow." The Titan swung his hammer around before landing it down into the ground.

Issei already began boosting...
"Partner, I have no idea how you're going to fight this monster... I wake up to you finally dealing with another threat. Just judging off of the power that he is radiating... How do you think you will even win?"
"Ddraig... boost me to the max."
[Boost x 18]
With his stats increased by 18 in all of them, and his speed increased with Blitz. Issei was going to try to chip the boss down. Rushing in with his swords, the King swung his hammer, Issei was easily able to dodge it and counter with his own swing.
Ignoring the absolute massive destructive force occurring behind him, Issei was able to deal some damage. Thanks to the Titan already being weaken and exposing its critical weaknesses, Issei would be able to at least damage the beast.
Now... the issue was... dodging all the attacks. Issei was easily leagues faster than the Titan, but the issue was dodging the blast radius of the attack.
"Oh boy... we're going to be here for a while."
"Silence human!" The Titan slammed his hammer again, but failed to hit Issei. Issei swung his dual blades once more, damaging the Titan once more.
"Partner, aim to deliver a blow onto the exposed bone pointing out of his rib cage. I predict that the Titan will try to spin around to sweep you with his hammer."
Nodding to Ddraig's observations, Issei slightly leaped forwards, avoiding the hammer sweep and slashed at the bone. Hearing the Titan grunting, Issei watched as the Titan began getting frustrated.
"Back away!"
Listening, Issei leaped back and was able to narrowly dodge a fatal slam coming towards him.
"I got your back partner. We're in this together..."
"First thing you said I can agree on." Issei chuckled.
Ddraig couldn't help but chuckle a little as well, "Let's cook this Titan alive."
Smirking, Issei rushed in once more.

Artemis was sitting down on Issei's bed. She was now worried for him... he hadn't shown up in a while. Usually, from what his mother and father had said, he would leave and come back during the morning. Looking around to find something fun to occupy herself with, Artemis decided that she would clean up Issei's room first. It looked like an absolute mess...
"I should first clean up the clothing... how does he wear these? These uniforms don't seem comfortable at all."
"Artemis... I found Issei's baby pictures... do you want to see them?" Miki busted through the door and startled Artemis. Hearing the thought of seeing little Issei, Artemis smiled deviously and nodded. She would definitely tease Issei for this.
"Oh my... why don't you show me little Issei? I would love to see where that dolt started as." Artemis followed Miki and noticed that Miki was in a much happier mood. "You seem to be in a rather good mood."
Miki laughed and started to smile warmly. "Artemis... you don't understand how much you helped me... Issei was in a very dark place... a very, very dark place. I noticed that when... he would interact with you... he would frequently show more joyful emotions."
"I... I'm happy to help you... Issei is someone special to me... I will always be there for him... and we both know why he was in such a terrible emotional state."
Miki nodded somberly, "Just... make sure that my boy doesn't get hurt... he's just a child in the head... He's super sensitive."
Artemis hugged Miki, "Of course... He helped me greatly... I will always take care of that little boy."
"Thank you... Thank you so much..." Miki wrapped her arms around Artemis and they stayed like that for a little bit before Miki quickly showed Artemis the family album. "Baby time!"
"YES!" Artemis cheered and they both quickly began peeking through Issei when he was a baby.
"And this was when he first got his toy... he was the most adorable little baby ever!"
Artemis squealed at the picture, "Wittle Issei is just so adowable!"
"And this is when he first started crying..."
"Even more adowable! I wish I could just pinch his cheeks!"
And they continued...
Issei was seen dashing around the places. Landing on the walls of the area in which he fought the Titan and leaping straight off them and slashing at the Titan. It had been hours since he began the fight, his health remained high, with only taking one blow which became fatal. Using his silver coins, he was able to heal himself back up, but he wanted to make sure he would be able to dodge any future blows. With the Titan's health being brought down to critical amounts... Issei noticed that the Titan was at the brink of exploding in rage.
"If I can't hit you directly... then take this!" Slamming his hammer with all his strength into the ground, shattering the very surface that they stood on, Issei noticed the entire cave beginning to collapse on them.
An explosion the size of a small nuclear bomb went off as everything within the area was covered in the ashes of the cave that once was the place that the two fought in. Standing proud, the Titan watched as Issei was on his knees. The sheer pressure and power behind the blow were so immense that the shockwaves from the blow was able to deal critical damage to Issei. Coughing out blood as Issei watched the Titan beginning to prepare himself to slam another blow... This would end him...
The sheer strength difference was too vast, and Issei knew that the Titan would kill him with the next blow... Closing his eyes, Issei was ready to accept his fate.
"Are you serious with me? You're really going to let yourself die... What was this about... what was the point in killing Raynare when you're just going to let yourself die again? You wanted revenge for her killing you because you wanted to live... yet here you are accepting death once more... HOW MANY TIME WILL YOU LET YOURSELF BE HOPELESS?" Ddraig screamed at him while projecting a small barrier around Issei.
"What else is there for me to do... There's no maneuver for me..."
"Do you know how many people have been in the same predicament? Do you know how many situations people have been in where the odds were all against them and yet they still came out alive... There is always a way out... There is always a solution... You must find it..." Ddraig, through the Boosted Gear, began using his own magic to slowly begin forming a stronger and stronger barrier to somewhat resist the shockwave to come.
Issei was left thinking about what Ddraig had said...
Raynare had already took his life... Yet, here he was just a little bit later about to die...
"Partner... think about it this way... You living is the perfect revenge against Raynare. No matter where she is seeing you from, she will forever be in pain knowing you are alive."
Widening his eyes, Issei was shocked upon hearing those words... because they were right. Raynare wanted to kill him because of his sacred gear yet... here he was about to die. If he continued living on... it would go against the whole purpose of Raynare's assassination attempt and the fact that he would outlive Raynare even longer.
And if he died... He wouldn't be able to see Artemis... the same woman that had saved him from... Raynare's mental clutches. He wouldn't let her be alone... no way...
Sensing the spirit of his partner rising, Ddraig shot all the barrier's power straight into his host as Issei got up and clenched his fists before screaming in rage. "I WILL NOT LET YOU DESTROY MY LIFE!"
With a burst of energy, Issei felt as if something changed in him...

With even more power, when the Titan's slammed his hammer down onto the ground, Issei had already shot straight into the sky to escape the shockwave. Successfully being able to escape it, Issei watched as the Titan slowly turned his head to him. Condensing all his magic into his body, Issei shot straight down at the Titan.
The Titan himself swung his hammer, in hopes of using the massive shockwaves to shoot Issei out of the sky, but Issei had zig zagged successfully as he completely evaded the shockwaves.
Crashing right into the Titan's exposed bone on his rib cage... Issei simply said one word...
"Transfer..."
With that word, he transferred all his energy into the bone and shattered it from the sheer pressure. Screaming in pain, the Titan wasn't able to react in time for Issei to stab the open hole in the Titan's rib cage. Sending in all his magic into his hands, Issei blasted the Titan from the inside out...
Dropping onto the ground, Issei watched as the Titan only began gurgling on his own screams as his life began passing... Three hour long battle... only being hit twice but nearly being dead twice was crazy to Issei...
"Fuck... why do I always fight against strength builds better than mine?"

However, Issei noticed that the hammer that the Titan carried was still on the ground... walking towards it, Issei inspected it.

Details: This weapon was used by the King of the Giants to slay any Giants that had any issue with him. The weapon itself was crafted by the very souls of the giants that had been killed.
Disadvantage: Due to the sheer size of the weapon, the wielder will only be able to two-hand the weapon which will prevent dual wielding the weapon.

Issei was shocked with the sheer stats of the weapon, but seeing the fact that he could only two hand the weapon to use it, he kind of felt a little disappointed... but he was still excited with having a colossal weapon easily larger than his entire body in his possession. He would easily equip the weapon over his two other weapons...
"Talk about a fucking weapon... dear God... how much does this thing weigh?"
"Almost as much as your ego..."
"... I will have my revenge..."
