Some chill time

"Wait what? I didn't hear you the first time." Gold raised a brow as he set down the controller

"Neigh." Jack repeated

"Well it's not impossible I suppose. Give me a minute, I think it shouldn't be too difficult." he nodded in understanding while standing up and making his way over to his lab.

After shutting the door to his lab. Explosives, power tools and questionable liquids could be heard from the other side of the door.

*BAM* The door was kicked open revealing Gold again with his hair disheveled. His face seemed to have been through a warzone. He held up a flask with a green substance within it. "IT'S FINISHED!" he raised the concoction into the air.

"Anyway here, split that in half with your girl and go have fun." Gold handed the questionable concoction over to the muscular horse.

"Neigh." Jack said in thanks as he left the basement through the giant elevator because some guests couldn't fit through the stairs.

"So why did you bring her here?"

"Well, you're the only guy I know that I can talk to about this kind of stuff besides Rias-senpai." Akemi said while a familiar blonde nun stood behind her.

Asia Argento. If I remember correctly, she was banished from the church and labeled as a witch for healing a devil. Then for whatever reason, she left for Kuoh. I'm guessing that the fallen got in contact with her and she didn't have much choice but to rely on them.

Now I don't really care about that. What I really care about is the specific devil that she healed. Diadora Astaroth. He gets off on breaking nuns and holy maidens. I even checked some time ago when I was looking into this world's history, he's still the same as in canon. In my opinion, the dude has shit tastes in hobbies. Even worst than a certain Aversis with a penchant for dissections.

"Um, I'm sorry if I'm bothering you." Asia bowed her head down. I will admit, girl's got manners.

"Eh?! You speak japanese now!?" Akemi exclaimed while pointing at the nun that she could now understand.

"I added a translation spell to the bounded field some time ago." I clarified while pressing a button on the flatscreen remote. The screen shifted towards the abandoned church or what's left of it.

"This is concerning." I hummed in thought as I took in the sight. There's nothing left of it.

"Rias-senpai was annoyed today because she had to erase memories with Sona-kaichou." Akemi added as she looked at the screen. "There was a huge shard of ice there when I was there this morning."

"So why did you bring the girl here?" I asked while moving the camera around.

"Well she needed to go to the church and it's gone." I glanced at her with an incredulous look. "What was I supposed to do!? I couldn't just leave her there!" she started to become flustered.

"So you just brought her here." I pinched the bridge of my nose.

"Couldn't you give her a room? Look at her, would you really leave her out on the street?" She asked.

"Akemi, do you know who that is?" I pointed at Asia who was wondering why I was pointing at her.

"Um, I'm Asia Argento." She finally realized that she never introduced herself until now.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Akemi Hyoudou." Akemi smiled at the nun. I guess she has an appearance that makes you want to protect her or something.

"She's the nun that got excommunicated because she healed a devil." I said slowly for it to sink into her head.

"I'm... sorry if I'm causing you trouble." Asia looked distraught at me pointing out her past

"So? what's wrong with that? I hang out with devils all the time these days." She pointed out unsure of the issue at hand.

"It's the specific devil that she healed." I informed her blandly while pulling up his file. "Diadora Astaroth. He has a fetish for kidnapping and breaking nuns and holy maidens. He probably planned the whole thing to get her banished. Which means she's being targeted."

Akemi seemed to look over the information displayed on the screen for a moment before cursing "That rotten bastard!"

"I... just couldn't leave him there." Asia said sadly. I feel like even if she knew it was a trap, she would have still healed him.

"Since she's being targeted by him. She's probably being watched. Making another enemy isn't exactly on my list of things I feel like doing for the day."

"Um... It's okay. I don't want other people to get hurt because of me."

"I promise you, I am not going to let you get caught by that asshole!" Akemi seemed to get heated.

"Even if she was left with me, I wouldn't be able to protect her when she leaves the house and I won't always be around to deter him." I said honestly. You can't expect the girl to just stay in the house all day like a neet. "Plus I'm just a random mage without any influence in the world. So he has no reason to fear me." To Diadora, I'm just a mage with no connections.

"Then... what can we do?" she seemed to be grasping at straws

"Honestly, her best chances are probably becoming a devil under Rias or Sona." I commented honestly.

"You know she's a nun right?"

"I know, but my point still stands. They are both sisters to current Maous. Diadora wouldn't dare touch her if she was in either of their peerages." I could definitely kill Diadora, but I'm not very stealthy when I fight. Which means that the devils might take it as an act of aggression. Making an enemy out of an entire faction would be annoying, I know because I've done it before.

"So what do you think about becoming a devil Asia?" I asked the nun who has been quiet during majority of this conversation.

"Um...." she seemed to incredibly conflicted. It showed on her expression.

Akemi seemed to notice it so she turned to me again. "Come on Gold, can't you just give her a room and look out for her?"

"Did I not just make many points about how that would be a bad idea earlier?" I said giving her a look.

"But it's not like you can't take the bastard on if he does come for her right?" she asked while making a look.

".... Are you pouting?" I asked looking at the future Red Dragon Empress who was currently pouting at me. "Do you really think pouting is going to work on me?" I raised a brow

"Just look at her." Akemi grabbed the blonde nun and displayed her sad face. "Would you really leave her out?" I gave her a blank look. She's still pouting.

"Do I look like a good person to you?" I dryly asked as if the answer was obvious

"Yes." She sounded so sure of herself that her immediate answer actually took me by surprise.

"Um... I don't think you're a bad person." Asia seemed to add in. Of course you don't, you're too much of a good person to see bad qualities.

Staring at the pouting face of the future Harem Queen. I pressed a button that connected to a microphone. "Lydia, prepare a room on the second floor."

"Yes!!" Akemi celebrated happily as she led the blonde nun upstairs

"I'm an idiot." I facepalmed while sighing out. Am I really that easy to manipulate to be affected by a pouting face?

After getting Asia Argento settled into the house. Gold locked the door of his basement and put on a 'Do not disturb' sign on the door. You would think that he would use that to warn people that he was doing some dangerous experiments. But no, he's using it for chill time.

Besides jacking off, he likes to use chill time to game by himself. You could argue that it'd be funner to game with other people. Well that wouldn't be chill time to him.

Loading up this world's version of a knock off Monster Hunter and Dark Souls combined. Gold navigated to online play. It was an older version of the game, but he liked the older version better. He actually found another person quickly which surprised him a little. Usually it'd take longer to find someone since most people played the newer version.

"Sup, so you up for Fellron?" Gold spoke into the headset to the player named 'BloodSparkle17'

*PING* [Yeah, give me a minute to check my gear] BloodSparkle17 replied. Gold's brow twitched when he saw the other player send a message instead of speaking through a headset.

"Uhh, any chance you got a mic dude?" he asked hoping the other player did. It'd be annoying if they couldn't communicate properly in battle and he didn't want to stress.

*PING* [I've never had a mic, it shouldn't be too important right?]

"Dude, communication is key in a game like this." he sighed but decided to move on and just play the game.

2 HOURS LATER

*YOU DIED* The words displayed on the screen gave him one hell of a migraine. The two had been playing together for the past two hours and have died multiple times.

Gold could tell that the other player wasn't a bad player. In fact their technical skills were alright. The problem was THEY HAD ZERO COORDINATION DURING THE BOSS FIGHTS!

*PING* [We really don't have good teamwork]

"Of-course we don't, it'd be fine if we both had a mic." Gold sighed

*PING* [Don't just put the blame on communication. Maybe your internet just sucks]

"Oh? Alright, let's put that to the test then." Gold smiled a smile that wasn't a smile.

*PING* [How do you expect to do that?]

"Just wait." Gold replied as magical circles lit up around him.

Sitting within a dark room that was dimly lit by a medium sized-screen. A familiar dhampir was waiting for his recent teammate to respond.

"Where did he go?" Gasper wondered as the player GoldDriver2101 hadn't responded after leaving an odd message.

"Right here" A familiar voice sounded out from behind causing her to snap her neck back in shock.

"AAAAHH-" Gasper shrieked as her Forbidden Balor View flashed in response, only for her mouth to get covered by the blonde man's hand. She was terrified that her eyes which stopped the time of anything she looked at, did not work. A shining gold lance seemed to be protecting the man from her eyes.

"You know, I don't even care that you're genderbent right now." Gold spoke out slowly. "Just pick up your damn controller and let's do this." He narrowed his eyes.

On that day, Gasper Vladi was forced to become a gaming friend with a blonde Isekai Truck driver.
