Accidental outburst

You know, this feels like a recurring gag at this point. Watching Vordt charge impressively at a smaller opponent, only to get rekt in a short span of time.

"I don't know what I was expecting." I said out loud as I watched Berserker systematically manuever around Vordt, chopping off his limbs in quick succession. Then he literally ripped off Vordt's head, man this is just like when Serafall ripped off his head.

You know, I don't actually bring Vordt back to life or anything when he dies. I literally have to go back to a version of Dark Souls just to catch another Vordt. Sort of hard to heal someone who's head was literally ripped off their body. He's not like my atronachs who's physical bodies are completely composed of their elements.

As for why I don't just catch something stronger? Well in my defense I just think Vordt is pretty cool and intimidating. Not his fault that everyone I send him after is overpowered as all hell.

"RRRAAAAHHHH" I covered my ears from his victory roar. Oh look he's looking at me now.

"Well this doesn't look good." I muttered out as he jumped into the air with Vordt's giant mace in hand..... and completely over me.

"Did he just ignore me?" I blinked as the black knight went right over me and slammed the giant mace down.... on saber, huh.

"AAARRRRTTTHUURRRRR!" I could hear his raging howl over the explosive force.

"It seems he is more interested in the King of Knights over there." Iskandar said as he rubbed his beard in thought.

"Huh, neat."

"Irisviel, get back!" I heard Saber's voice as a gust of wind blasted the dust away.

Well not my problem now I guess, I turned back to look at the fight between the two Gilgameshes. Only to blink as an ethereal armored hand appeared next to me with a bullet in it's fingers. I gave Kiritsugu a stink eye from where I could see him, hiding in the shadows up there.

'Thanks Rong.' I internally thanked her for looking out for me. Regular bullets wouldn't be able to kill me, but I wasn't so sure about origin bullets.

Granted, Aversis can't ever permanently die even when were killed. To kill us, you have to be strong enough to wipe out our souls. It's why we were able to stop people from hunting us down for our blood, despite all the overpowered godly people in the omniverse that can control the laws of time and reality.

In response to godlike enemies, the old personalities from our original life end up taking over and it doesn't end well. Majority of Aversis repress their old selves in some way, in my case I get high with drugs or drunk with alcohol.

Isekai'd people with godly powers generally don't understand the essence of cultivation and dao well. They mainly cheat, get super godly from a random cultivation reality. Then they grow arrogant and egotistical in some way and think they are invincible even to the R.O.Bs. When in reality, all the greatest power and control over life, death, time, space, reality, yin, yang, creation, nothingness are meaningless.

Wait I shouldn't have this kind of knowledge.

'ALL THINGS RETURN TO GOLD' OH SHIT

"ARRRGGGHH!" Gold's pained voice sounded out from below the two's battle.

"Hm?" Caster Gilgamesh glanced down as his younger counterpart did as well.

Gold was screaming out in pain, he didn't look like he was physically injured though. Gold was on his knees, with a pained expression.

"We will finish our battle another time." Caster said to his opponent before jumping down and stepping towards Gold who was clutching his head while screaming his throat out.

"Apprentice! Calm yourself!" Caster shouted over the screaming in an effort for Gold to snap out of it.

"Ggggnnnng." Gold seemed to respond as his pained screams turned into repressed groans.

Everyone nearby stopped to watch as Gold seemed to be going through an episode. His gray eyes flashed golden rays, an unrelenting momentum forced all the servants nearby back.

"What's happening!?" Waver yelled confused as Rider took them to the skies on his chariot.

"RRRAAAAGGHHH" Berserker roared out in defiance of the force being released from the blonde truck driver. Instead of retreating, the mad berserker took it as a challenge, struggling while stepping slowly closer.

The only ones near Gold were Berserker and Caster at the moment. Gold looked up slowly, his eyes beginning to bleed out golden blood. "G-GET BACK!" Gold struggled to shout out over the soul rending pain. A command seal on his hand being used up.

Caster Gilgamesh felt the command seal's power engulf him as he was forced to comply and jump back a far distance.

"RRRAAAGGGHHH!" Berserker was still madly roaring as it forced itself closer towards the epicenter of power. However in a single instance, the unrelenting momentum disappeared, allowing the black knight to charge towards the cause of chaos.

Gold's face became incredibly serene. His eyes seemed to reflect a never ending golden road. Around him, dark figures appeared surrounding him. Counter Guardians.

With Berserker and Counter Guardians surrounding him. Gold opened his mouth slowly and uttered his Grand Dao.

"All things return to gold."

The words reverberated through the world, unhindered as reality seemed to actually become gold for a moment. This unexplained phenomenon was noticed by everyone in the universe, even in the dreams of those who were asleep. It was later referred to as the 'Gold Shift'.

"Ugh..." I groaned out, slowly getting up from... a bed?

"You have finally awoken, apprentice." I turned my head over to Caster who was seated on a comfortable chair. I took a moment to look around.

Oh right, we made this room yesterday when we were rebuilding the Cloud District. I wanted a chill room for chilling, I was incredibly adamant about it. Despite his protests on how out of place it would look, he still relented in the end.

"What happened?" I asked rubbing my head, I feel like I just got through a bad trip.

"That is what I wanted to ask of you. Even I could not gleam into what happened to you, despite my clairvoyance I was unable to understand the cause of your outburst." He explained, closing the tome in his hands shut as it disappeared into golden dust.

He must have seen the look of confusion on my face. "Last night you eliminated Berserker along with the entirety of the docks."

"I destroyed the docks?" Well shit, I hope that doesn't make Alaya mad at me.

"No, you simply made it disappear." he shook his head to my confusion. His eye seemed to be twitching in annoyance at my lack of understanding.

"All things return to gold." I heard him say as I widened my eyes.

"Where... did you hear that?" I asked in growing horror.

"I would be surprised if anyone in the world did not hear those words. They were uttered by yourself last night." He clarified as his red eyes stared at me.

"Shit.... I need to get buzzed at least." I decided, taking out an elder blunt. I guess it was my mistake to be completely sober for the fight yesterday. Normally I'm never completely sober, too much things I need to repress.

"It was my mistake, I was too excited for my fight with Saber that I forgot to smoke." I muttered out depressingly as I slowly channeled some mystic words into the blunt. Not too much, just enough for a buzz.

"Perhaps you should avoid partaking in such activities." I heard Gilgamesh's advise as he stared deeply at me.

"It was because I didn't that I lost control." I retorted. "And don't give me that look, I know I'm a damn addict. You're not the first to point out my problems, I've accepted this flaw of myself long ago." It was also why I had such a strained relationship with my sister in my life when I was still an Isekai Truck Driver. She wanted me to quit, but I couldn't explain to her why I needed the stuff.

"Regardless, before you lose grasp of yourself. You have a couple of guests that would like to speak to you." He says, gesturing over to the other side of the room. Huh, I did not look over there until now.

Two lithe girls were seated on the couch. They looked like they were sisters in their teens, yet their color palettes were different. One had more green while the other had more red.

"And you are?" I raised a brow at the two females on my couch. They both stood up and stared at me for a moment before bowing cutely.

"I am Gaia. Please don't destroy the world." Wait what?

"I am Alayashiki. Please don't wipe out humanity." Wait what?

"Wait what!?" I finally vocalized in confusion.

"Fuahahahaahahaha!" Gilgamesh seemed to be amused on his comfy chair.
