16 DxD 0016: Amusement Park

"Yes, a very important question actually. Why are we discussing our training when we're out on a date?" She asked with a dissatisfied glance.

"We can talk about something else if you want. When is your birthday?" He asked with an amused smile.

"Now that's the stuff people talk about on dates, I was born on July twenty-first, what about you?" She asked.

"My birthday's on the first of August. It's almost the end of March right now, so it's quite a bit of time before both of our birthdays…" He said.

"It's fine, Buchou's birthday is coming up soon, on April 9th, we can celebrate it." She said. "Sounds like a plan." He agreed.

As they talked, Akeno brought him through a complicated series of turns and was walking in practically random directions at all times, "We've gotten rid of Rias' familiar for a while now." He said and Akeno froze in her place, "You knew?" She asked.

"Of course," He shrugged in agreement, "Who do you think I am? Just because I prefer brute forcing my way through everything, doesn't mean that I wouldn't hone my senses." He said in a faux disappointed voice.

"Right," His tone made Akeno's eyes roll, "Since we've gotten rid of it, we can really enjoy our date." She said sweetly before hugging his arm and pushing it between her breasts.

Akeno's flirty nature was something of a wall that she'd formed around herself. She seemed open and ready to do anything with him, but it was far from being that simple. Though there was no point in putting too much thought into it. At least for now.

"Let's get corndogs…" She said and pulled him with her to the van that was selling corndogs. "What are these things, I've never tried them…" He asked her as he looked at the vendor serving people.

"It's an interesting dish. They take a sausage and coat it in a thick layer of some coating that can either be cornmeal batter. In some cases, the prep might be different but this is the gist of it." She told him about the entire preparation process, half of which he didn't even get.

"You seem pretty researched about this stuff?" He asked. She replied, "I like researching different foods and seeing how they work…"

"Ahh… How cute, Akeno-chan…" He said and saw her face get red with a blush. "I'm your senpai, Abaddon-kun. You shouldn't address me as such…" She tried to keep her composure despite being embarrassed.

"I'm definitely calling you Akeno-chan from now on…" He said with a teasing tone. The vendor was holding out two hotdogs for another couple and he decided to cast a compulsion on everyone that the pair of corndogs was for him and Akeno and grabbed it from the vendor. He hold both of them with one hand as his other arm was still occupied by Akeno's breasts and he didn't want to free it.

"Abaddon-kun!" She stomped her foot in frustration as he teased her. He didn't say anything and held out the corndog in front of her face, "Here. The first bite is for you." He said. After she took the bite, he ate a bite from his corndog too, "This is pretty good." He nodded.

"I told you. I'm practically an established food critic, you can ask me about almost any Japanese food and some other cuisines and I will tell you about it." She said. "I'll keep it in mind." He said as he extended his hand in front of her face, "I want to eat from yours, Abaddon-kun…" She looked at him teasingly.

"As you wish," He said as he turned his hand and let her eat from his corndog instead. "Mmm…" This one tastes better." Akeno said.

"If you wanted to taste my saliva, then you could just kiss me." He couldn't resist teasing her. "Don't tease me, Abaddon-kun…" She acted sultrily without actually making any other move, "Let's go to a rollercoaster." She said, pulling him with her. She felt that things would escalate if they kept flirting like this so she decided to bring him to a fast-paced ride.

"Sure." He said as he ate the corndog. They finished the shared corndogs by the time they reached the ride.

They spent the next two hours in the amusement park going on all sorts of different rides and just having some casual and flirty fun. By now, Akeno's presence with him was much freer and she didn't seem as flirty anymore and instead seemed to be more sweet.

Abaddon liked this change as it told him that she was actually showing him more of her real personality every once in a while.

"So you're telling me that you're Princess Island Devil?" He asked her with surprise.

"Yes, I am…" Just because she wasn't flirting with him all the time didn't mean she'd let go of his arm. If anything, she'd grabbed his arm even tighter after the previous ride.

"I'm actually a fan of your stuff, if you didn't disguise yourself, I would've instantly found out about you. That video where you depict Kabuki is one of my favorites…" He said to her.

"Well, it is my most popular video on DeviTube." She said cheerily, happy that he liked her content. She made content about Traditional Japanese Arts as a hobby.

"A-kun, let's get a souvenir," She started pulling him toward the souvenir shop. She'd shifted to calling him A-kun for a while now since she wanted to call him by an endearing nickname.

Inside the souvenir shop, they looked around and saw quite a number of different kinds of souvenirs. Abaddon looked around while gauging Akeno's reaction to the different areas and saw her expression change for a moment as she looked at the huge teddy bears.

'I never thought she would be the kind of girl who likes this kind of a huge fluffy bear…' He thought as his smile widened, "Let's get that teddy bear," He said to her as he walked there, pulling Akeno whose arms were wrapped around his arm.

"W-What?" She asked with a guilty conscience. "We're getting the biggest one." He said as he grabbed the huge 7-foot-tall bear. "I… I don't need this, A-kun." She dissuaded him. "You can just give it to Koneko if you don't want it." He said as he didn't give her any time before buying it.

"Though, I agree, we should get something smaller too." He was practically ignoring her protests as he bought whatever came to mind.

Just then, he felt Akeno bite his collarbone, "I think you're supposed to suck if you want to give me a hickey." He teased her, the minor pain from her bite wasn't a big deal.

She pulled her face away with a harrumph and looked away. Though her anger would be more believable if her arms had let go of the arm that she was hugging. She was still holding his arm between her breasts.

"Come on, let's get matching bracelets with A's. Both of our names start with A so we can get matching ones." He knew how to placate her. "Let's get it!" She instantly changed her attitude and pulled him to the bracelets.

They ended up getting a pair of bracelets that had an A engraved in them.

"I love this…" She kept admiring the bracelet as they explored the park. "It's just a simple bracelet, Akeno-chan…" He said. "Don't call me that…" She said with a cute and tiny voice that made him want to hug her to death, "And it's far from just a simple bracelet, it's a gift from you. It means a lot…" She said with a genuine smile that seemed to light up everything around her.
