Prologue 1

His eminence Vasco Strada was heading back to the Vatican after his last exorcist job. Even though he was a 70 year old man and held the second highest rank of a cardinal . He continued to preform exorcist, due to him being the wielder of Durandal. Vasco was only willing to retire after he found someone else to wield the blade.

His old age is acting on him, He felt a little exhausted after his work. He sat on his chair and laid back while sighing in relief. Just at that moment, another person appeared in the room.

"I could have sent someone else for that job. The Violence of Heaven can take some rest in old age."

The one who appeared was the Pope, the highest official of the church.

Vasco smiled at the Pope.

"I will stop once someone capable is born."

Both of them act as long-term friends when they are alone. And Vasco is rather old than the Pope himself. So, the Pope respects him as an elder too. Today also, they started chatting like two old people about their life experiences or that's how it was supposed to be.

Suddenly, both of them sensed a high amount of holy power which made them surprised. Actually, this is not the first time for them to feel it. They always felt this kind of power when one of the Four Great Seraphs descended to the church. But they were surprised by the sudden visit of a Seraph.

They immediately went inside the church and realized that the holy power is coming from the summoning room. Of course, other exorcists weren't allowed in there no matter what happened. This is because angels and Seraphs who come from heaven teleport here. Only the high officials are allowed. But the other high officials except for the Pope and Vasco were away due to certain reasons. Normally, an angel makes an appearance first to announce the arrival of a Seraph. So, they thought this was an emergency meeting.

But when they went inside the room, they didn't find a Seraph. What they found was a naked baby boy lying on the summoning circle.

"A child?" The Pope was as confused as Vasco was.

The Pope went and picked up the baby with white hair and red eyes. Of course, the holy power of this child doesn't do any harm to him. Rather, both felt blessed in that aura.

The child wasn't crying. He was looking here and there and moving his limbs as he pleased.

"How did he get here?" The Pope asked a question that would never be answered.

"Maybe he was sent from heaven?" That's the first thing that came to both their minds. But they didn't understand why a human child would be sent from heaven. It's obvious that this child isn't an angel since there are no wings on his back.

Vasco extended his hand towards the child. The child caught Vasco's finger while giggling. His hands are so small it didn't even cover Vasco's finger completely. Vasco took a liking to the child.

"Maybe, he is a miracle child without wings?" Vasco said coming to the only conclusion that anyone can. Miracle Childs are the children born between angels and some other race.

Only certain individuals from other races are allowed to become physically intimate with angels. And miracle children are born when these have intercourse only based on pure love following the rules. It's an extremely difficult act. Angels can't give in to their desires during this intercourse if they don't want to fall. But if they are successful, no matter what, the child should be having angel wings. Vasco thought that this child could be an exception.

"But how can he have this amount of holy power even though he isn't an angel?" The Pope let his thoughts out loud.

"Maybe we should contact Archangel Michael-sama about this" Vasco said while tickling the child making the child giggle every time.

"I didn't know that Vasco is fond of children." Pope smiled at Vasco who was playing with the baby.

"But he's cute, don't his eminence think so too?" Vasco didn't stop tickling the baby.

Pope decided to write about this to Michael. "I will send a letter to heaven. Can you take care of him till that time?"

"With Pleasure." Vasco took the child into his hand and covered the child with a cloth he could find nearby. And after that, he kept playing with the baby.

It didn't even take a minute for the Pope to write the letter since the contents were short. And once it was sent to heaven, it didn't even take 10 minutes for Michael himself to appear in the room.

Vasco and the Pope bowed the moment they saw the blond archangel with green eyes. "We are blessed by your presence, Archangel Michael-sama"

"It's fine, raise your heads." Michael met these two for a few times till then.

Vasco and Pope stood up and took a stance of respect.

"Is this the child you mentioned?" Michael said while looking at the child in Vasco's hands.

"Yes, Michael-sama." The pope answered with a stern expression.

"It's true. This child is emitting the holy power that might rival me." The child giggled when Michael said that as if being proud of himself. Michael extended his hands towards Vasco. "Can I analyze him a bit?"

Vasco gave the boy to Micahel. Michael felt the holy aura emitted from the boy to see if there are any other traces than that of an angel. But he didn't find anything else to his surprise."To think a human is born with this much holy power. It's almost like he is an angel without wings."

Michael thought of the same thing as the others. Michael looked at the Pope "Are you sure this summoning circle is not connected to something else?"

The Pope answered that with a question from his side. "Does Michael-sama mean this child didn't come from heaven?"

Michael shook his head. "The moment that emergency letter was sent to me, I went to the teleportation room that's connected to this summoning circle. It was reported that no teleportation took place."

The Pope answered assertively with respect "I am sure that this circle isn't connected to anything other than heaven, Michael-sama."

Right at that moment, Vasco voiced out his observation. "When I was playing with the child, his grip was so strong that I had some difficulty. I think he is already subconsciously using his holy power to enhance his body."

Rather than Michael, the Pope was shocked at Vasco's confession. Vasco was called the Violence of Church for a reason. But to think that Vasco had a hard time dealing with the child means that the child is something abnormal.

Michael smiled at Vasco. "Is that so?" Michael put his finger in front of the baby for him to catch it which the baby did. Michael assessed the strength from the grip. And Michael can also say that it's not the baby's complete strength since the baby is just trying to play with him. "He's really abnormal."

Pope asked with curiosity. "What should we do with the child, Michael-sama?"

"I am taking him to heaven" Michael answered with a gentle smile while looking at the giggling child.

"What?!"

Of course, this time, both Vasco and the Pope were shocked by the sudden declaration.
