1 Chapter 1

When the sun rises, it signals morning, a time not liked by many, but Gorou felt its warmth, its annoying light hit his eyelids, lighting up the darkness.

Once Gorou felt this familiarity, he jerked up and shot his eyes open, breathing heavily and rapidly as he observed his surroundings.

Gorou snapped his eyes down at his chest and fiddled with his chest, seeing if the cut was still there.

Upon finding nothing, Gorou looked to his left and found his ever-loving wife, Miki.

'How am I alive? Wait! What's the date?' As Gorou checked his phone for the date, a smile was plastered onto his face.

'I'm back before I died! Yesssss!' Gorou jumped out of his bed in excitement and almost ripped the curtains as he revealed the full force of the sun.

Gorou let the sun's rays envelop his body, wrapping him up in a warm, comforting sensation.

'So in three days, Rias will be found with Issei, I don't know what happens afterwards, I know some but not all, hmm... I won't interfere with my son, but now that I know he was and will be a devil and a dragon, I will also need to prepare.'

While Gorou was formulating his plan, he heard the shifting of the blankets, turning around, he saw Miki turning away from the sunlight.

Gorou couldn't help but smirk as he closed the curtains and put on some clothes, before being down and kissing Miki on the forehead, earning him a smile.

As he opened the door to his bedroom, he walked downstairs and began to make breakfast.

Half an hour later...

Gorou had just finished making breakfast when Miki came down the stairs, rubbing her eyes.

"Honey?"

"Yes, my love?" Gorou responded as he made walked out of the kitchen holding two plates of French toast, berries, a cooked banana, and maple syrup.

"What are you doing?" Miki said in shock, astounded that her husband had made breakfast, and made it look delicious as well.

"Making breakfast," Gorou responded with a smile before he placed the plates on the table.

"Come, sit," Gorou said, gesturing to the chair he pulled out.

"Oh, umm." Miki didn't know what to do, she simply walked over to the chair with a dazed expression.

As Miki sat down, Gorou pushed in her seat and kissed her on the cheek before taking the other plate upstairs.

Miki looked at her husband ascend the stairs, looking at him with newfound wonder.

'What has gotten into him?' Miki turned around and took a bite out of French toast. The flavour burst through her mouth, leaving her in disbelief.

'Well, whatever happened, I'm not complaining.' Miki sat there and continued to enjoy her food with a gleeful expression.

Knocking three times on the door and not getting an answer, Gorou opened the door to find Issei still sleeping. Gorou took a deep breath, looking at his son with admiration.

'The things you did behind our backs. Though I was disappointed at first, after hearing about your triumphs, I couldn't help but be proud of you.'

Gorou smiled as he opened Issei's curtains, letting the sunshine enter his room. Gorou then placed the plate of food on the dresser before yanking the sheets off Issei's bed.

"Argh!" Issei yelped in surprise as he felt a gust of cold air assault his exposed body.

"Stop your whining, eat your breakfast, get ready and then come downstairs," Gorou said as he approached the door, but just before he closed the door behind him, he spoke again.

"Son, I love you, and remember to bring the plate when you're done." With that, Gorou closed the door behind him.

Issei was left bewildered as he was expecting his mum when he opened his eyes, not his dad, and he brought up breakfast.

'Did something happen to dad?' Issei wondered as he looked at what breakfast was.

'Wow! This looks high class, I wonder if it tastes as good as it looks?' Issei took a bite and like Miki, the food exploded in his mouth.

'Did dad make this?! This is amazing!' Issei began to scoff down his food, it was too tasty.

When Gorou reached the lounge, he saw Miki still enjoying her food with such lively expressions.

Gorou couldn't help but smile as he walked up behind her, making sure his steps were heard as to not scare her.

"Enjoying your food?" Gorou said smoothly, quietly, not wanting to ruin her moment of enjoyment, putting his hands on her shoulders.

"Where did you learn to make food like this?" Miki responded with glee as she continued to enjoy her food.

"I learnt it from someone I deeply love." Gorou responded, kissing the top of Miki's head, before walking away.

"But, I have never made this though." Miki called out in confusion.

"Who said it was you?" Gorou responded teasingly. Earning a chuckle out of Miki.

"Hahaha, stop it you old gooch, haha."

Gorou took a moment to take in Miki's laughs, how he misses her laugh, not to say that she didn't laugh in the future of their relationship, but it's nice to hear again.

Gorou couldn't help but chuckle to himself, being caring and loving feel nice.

Issei made it down stairs, in uniform and ready to go to school, and luckily for him, he brought the plate down.

"Good, you remembered." Gorou said as he took the plate and began to wash it.

"Yeah- I remembered it." Issei still couldn't believe it, his dad cooking, his dad cleaning, his dad waking him up. It was all weird to him.

"Well, off to school you go." Miki said, practically pushing Issei out the door.

"Bye mom, bye dad." Issei shouted as he was pushed out the door.

Now that Issei was out of the house, Miki was ready to interrogate her husband Gorou.
