"The ones who enter the Eternal Heaven Pearl, us... are the only ones that can face the Fallen God Faction in a year, we're the only hope. Richter-sama and his peerage won't participate, which means that Layla-chan, Grayfia-sama and the Nephilims are not a force we can depend on. Yasaka-sama and Amaterasu-sama are only interested in the training, but they're neutral grounds and won't be participating either".

Rias felt the pressure in her shoulders increases several folds, her short sight hadn't allowed her to see this fact. She hoped they didn't have to become the strongest, just strong enough to assist. But that wasn't the case.
"N-No one else can help us?"
"No one else is strong enough... this is what we devils have cured four ourselves in the past centuries, a sea of enemies and not a single ally. I guess we deserve this, but... I'm sorry because this was not your generation's fault, Rias... it was our fault"
"... You just increased my fear, Okaa-sama" Rias actually laughed with an amusement that resembled self-ridicule.
"I know, but you're not a kid anymore... after we enter that world tomorrow, we are the same. I'll try my hardest to teach you the aspect of destruction but then, after that... we're each on our own, we may not even be in the same team~" Venelana's tone drifted as she regarded the ceiling, obviously deep into her own imagination.
"Why are you smiling?" Rias lifted her eyebrows which shook her mother with confusion.
"Because Richter-sama is going to be there, we're going to spend a lot of time together~ even if it is just fighting against him"
"O-Okaa-sama... do you like Richter-sama?" Rias asked straightforwardly and bit her lips, taking her mother out of the trance and into reality.
"Like? Fufu~ that wouldn't be the right word. Okasan is more sexually attracted than anything else though. I just want to get on with that dragon at least once, then I can die in peace~".
"A-At least stutter will you!? what about otou-sama?!"
"Zeoticus? He's okay with it..." Venelana twirled her hair, refusing to whistle. A dead giveaway to her daughter.
"Is he now?"
"No, but he doesn't need to know, right?~" A broad threatening smile was everything that was necessary to shut Rias' mouth. Small trysts weren't unlikely between devil couples.
The problem was, Venelana wasn't intending to have a small tryst.
'I'd become his lifelong slave if I could...'
She sighed, feeling more and more hopeless with every second. A woman with enough confidence in her beauty to get any mortal, but when it came to 'him' she felt lacking. Just looking at all the astonishing ladies by his side, she felt inferior.
The Creation Goddess, Li Suo... she was a goddess perfect enough to make any other of her 'unparalleled' peers as inferior as an ant. He had only been gone for three months and he came back with those two monsters.
To add up, he didn't look interested and she also didn't have an excuse or method to paradoxically drag the dragon into her claws.
"..." Rias didn't know what to say, her mother looked like she was deeply infatuated with him, 'S-She looks like her crush for him is stronger than mine...'
"Listen, Rias... we may be the last generation of devils that exist in this world".
*Gulp*
"Do you think I'll stop to think about morals? I'm a devil, not an angel... if seducing him is going to give me the rush of energy I need to keep moving forward, that is what I'm going to do" Venelana reached her conclusion and smiled, that was the difference between the past generation and the current. Determination.
"Do you think the training is going to be difficult?"
"It is going to be, don't doubt that for even a second... Now, Rias... do you love Richter-sama or like? tell Okasan~"
"..."
She had been expecting the question but upon being interrogated, the redhead sank her blushing face into her legs cleavage and refused to answer, much to her mother's giggling and amusement.
"If you don't say anything I will take that as a yes~".
"I don't know, Okaa-sama! b-before... I saw him and Layla-onee-sama doing it ever since then, I feel weird".
"I know".
"Eh?!" Rias gasped, she knew all along!
"Of course, I knew... but Rias, why didn't you say anything?"
"Richter-sama made me promise that it was our little secret and I shouldn't tell anyone, otherwise I'd be punished".

Hearing that bit of information, Venelana's expression went from a sea of emotions before she settled for 'one', a mixture of disappointment and anxiety.
'How could you let go of that chance, thankfully you told me, it is not too late!'
"Okaa-sama?" Rias saw her mother rubbing her temples and thought she was deep in trouble.
"I think I know how we're going to get into his pants, Rias~" Venelana took her confused daughter's hand and willed her to stand up and walk out of the room, towards the dining room where her husband was.
It took a while for Rias to process what her mother just said
"H-Hold on, WE are?!"
"Of course, Richter-sama is a lewd dragon and seems to enjoy taking both mother and daughter together! look at Layla, Grayfia-sama and Fia. I'm surprised he didn't go for Sandalphon since she's quite cute just like Albedo-chan. Tell me, you wouldn't mind sharing your man with Okasan, right? if we work separately it will be impossible, but if we join hands, we can get him. Interested?~"
"..."
Rias didn't know if this conversation was safe to have or not, but something was undeniable, Venelana got her daughter's attention.
