Prelude of a Disaster

[Richter's POV]

"Cherries?~ I can see you have plenty of them, haha!"

"That's how it is; don't mind me, Azazel. I'm just hearing..." I said, taking another cherry while I placed Grayfia on my lap.

'M-Master, not here!'

'Why not?~'

'We have been mating nonstop, the three of us... don't tell me it wasn't enough!' She seemed to be outraged at my libido which has been increasing since I first did it with Aphrodite... what can I say, that woman has been showing me a lot of stuff I can then try with my apostles.

'I don't know, it may be Aphrodite's influence, but whenever I see you, I want to eat you, Grayfia~'

'P-Please wait for the evening...'

My maid said with exasperation, still rubbing her butt on my lap; she never moved away... it is so amusing to be receiving this glare from Sirzechs. Usually, I'd have turned him into gold for looking at me this way, but... knowing that both things he treasures the most are now in my grasp, I can't help but feel immense vanity.

Not for Grayfia but instead, for Layla... Grayfia was mine from the beginning and will keep being.

But I plundered Layla away from him and even Aphrodite who is now nothing more than my pet. I didn't even need to work hard to do it, everything because of him.

I was deep into my own thoughts, embracing Grayfia and feeling Layla's jealous waves as the conversation continued.

"There is nothing we can do to apologise for this, Azazel... but we do hope you look at the past and see the efforts we have done into including the fallen angels into our community of mutual acceptance... past the period of slavery... we have done the best we can..." Ajuka tried to speak with the most politically friendly words possible, making it look as if the fallen owed the devils a favour, but no one was buying it.

"Hmph!"

The fallen angel was going to argue, but it was then that more guests began coming. I looked towards my right side to see someone begin materialising from the nothingness in what appeared to be a golden flame, and my eyes were immediately fixed on her body.

She was a delightful blonde lady with fox-like ears and nine tails protruding from her dress, oh, a feline... her gaze was immediately drawn to me and we locked eyes just like that for a few seconds.

"Lady Yasaka..." Serafall answered her curtly, even taking out a seat for her to seat in... it wasn't only Yasaka who arrived though, several more guests appeared.

"Lord of Asgard, Odin and his Valkyrie".

"Jade Emperor".

"God King of Olympus, Zeus".

"Indra from the Hindu Pantheon."

One by one the gods took seats but their presence in this meeting didn't spur any good feelings in the devils; all of those gods were also regarding me as I ate my shrimp peacefully, how disrespectful to fix your gaze on someone like that as they eat. I had to release some of my aurae for them to look away.

The woman known as Yasaka coughed and addressed the room.

"Amaterasu-sama is resting, her fight against the Olympian God of War was particularly taxing; I have merely a message from her... regardless of your opinion, Tsukiyomi's punishment shall be handled by Takamagahara".

Gasps resounded by all devils, I don't understand why.

'Prior to this event even the Goddess of Takamagahara would have asked for the devil councils' opinion, master... if she hasn't done it, that means she no longer holds devils into account for anything' Layla answered me.

"We think that is fair," although, with solemnity, Ajuka accepted this and addressed the next person in the room. I believe except for Yasaka, none of them were invited.

"Henceforth, Asgard breaks all diplomatic relationships with the three factions, no exceptions".

Another row of gasps.

"The Chinese pantheon holds the three factions in no regard, Sirzechs Lucifer".

"Neither does the Hindu Pantheon~ I hope you're all prepared to receive thunder at your door, four satans~" The man known as Indra was the most brazen out of them all, openly challenging them before setting his gaze on me.

"You must be Richter".

"What about it?" I smirked towards him, the first one that hasn't called me 'Lord', brazen indeed.

"Nothing... in order to defeat Shiva with a single attack, there is no way we could ever hope to defeat you, but... we hope that you will enjoy what's about to ensue, on in which the Hindu Era shall begin".

Having dropped that declaration of war, Indra disappeared from the room, and so did the Jade Emperor.

His words did nothing but make the whole room tenser, they were expecting this much, but not so fast.

"Is Asgard... going to join them?" Serafall asked towards Odin with hope; by his side was standing a beauty with silver hair, gorgeous and delightful, her eyes fixed on me with a gaze that was not devoted but instead, analyzing.

"That is yet to be decided, devils... at the very least I can tell you that we are not the devils' allies. Lord Dragon God, could I ask to be given our treasures back? I believe it was a mistake before, the person you were referring to... it wasn't me" The old man addressed me with hope and even the Valkyrie nodded my way.

"You are correct, Odin... here, have some treasures".

I threw him some pocket change; the treasures I gave him weren't even half of what I obtained from his treasury, even then, he kept his mouth shut and accepted them.

Having finished his business here, Odin departed as well... just like that devils lost the support of the Chinese, Hindu and nordic pantheons.

"Suffice to say that we Olympians are also not allies of you devils, but you won't find us bringing the war to your doorsteps. Hades, Aphrodite and Ares' actions don't represent Olympus... as for those Primordials, much more so... that's all I came to say".

The 'God King' of Olympus disappeared with a lightning strike.

"This is bad..." Sirzechs manifested the thoughts of every devil in this room.

"You think?" Azazel mocked him.

"The Shinto shall keep supporting the devils in their fight against the Fallen God Faction, but... the three factions are no longer welcome in Japan... hundreds of thousands of innocent lives were lost. Important worshippers of our pantheon... we can no longer trust the devils to uphold and protect the land that has been rightfully distributed to them; hence... aside from the four satans and key members of their families... the devils aren't welcome in Japan and shall be killed on sight, regardless of supremacy or conservative factions".

"Lady Yasaka..." Serafall tried to intercede, but it was all useless. The golden-haired fox sighed and addressed her instantly.

"This order has been issued by Amaterasu-sama... and it is definite".

"We... understand..."

Having finished her business just like the others, Yasaka also stood up.

"If there are no further matters to attend, then... I shall retreat... unless Lord Dragon God would like to have a word with me? his majesty has been looking at my tails for the whole meeting~"

Her words drew the attention in the room back to me, what is she talking about? I'm not looking at her tails, I'm looking at her breasts... they're massive indeed, and I wonder how they compare to Layla's.

"It is your imagination... I haven't been looking at your tails" I didn't lie to her.

"I see, that's sad... Amaterasu-sama and I would have loved to have a word with you".

"You can consider this castle of mine as a neutral space... whoever dares to cause trouble here, I'll turn them into a golden sculpture".

"Then if it is not a bother, we would like to visit tomorrow at noon; would you be available then?"

"I shall be available tomorrow, but don't take my presence for granted," I said, there are things for me to do as I begin my plans to look for Helius on my own accord... I may not even spend that much time in this castle as they all expect me to.

"Very well, until then~"
