Lucifer's Obsession

The Earth, somewhere in Switzerland, Geneve.

Just as the supernatural world squirmed, the human world wasn't much different, only… they squirmed in ignorance, unable to find solace at the tremors that shockwaves that took place all over the earth, coming from outer space. The fight between two dragon gods had shaken the whole universe, or better yet, It had clamoured through the dimensional gap, a membrane that wrapped the whole universe together.

From a portal appeared two individuals wearing suits, both were silver-haired but while one of them looked like a novelty, the other resembled a butler.

The man in novelty clothes was covered in blood.

"I can't stop thinking about that golden dragon, Euclid… that's the absolute power that we seek. The one that will allow me to reach my beloved Calliope beyond the dimensional gap again!" The man with long-standing hair spoke with a wicked and obsessive grim.

Having seen the whole fight from the moment he sensed it, there wasn't a moment in which he wasn't looking at the two dragons with anything short of an absolute thrill.

He was led inside by the butler, the place resembled a penthouse where the sight of a beautiful port was visible, however… there was slight chaos beneath as apparently the water had flooded due to a small tsunami. This sight was visible all over the world, but he, Rizevim Livan Lucifer, didn't care.

"… he was certainly strong, but I fail to see how we can begin to grasp his power when doing so with Ophis is already so difficult." The butler, Euclid Lucifuge took a seat in front of him, waving his hands around as the tea prepared itself. His mind focuses on something else. The news of a particular silver-haired beauty who had returned to the underworld, his older sister.

"The answer is the devils. Just like Lady Calliope, the Golden Dragon has shown fondness towards the devils." Rizevim said, his eyes focused on the beautiful dusk sight.

"Do you suggest targeting his reverse scale? And trigger destruction in the process?"

"Naturally not, what I suggest is that we go and speak to him straightforwardly~ don't you think there may be more than one thing that he has in common with Calliope?~"

"…?" Euclid didn't understand. Having lived during that period, Euclid had a degree of understanding of how the saviour of the devils behaved, after all… it was his mother who saved him from her judgement. Euclid had been beneath Calliope's sight, ready to die. But he lived.

Her personality was aloof and uncaring as if she didn't care about life and merely desired to accomplish her objective. To Euclid, it was always suspicious how someone so uncaring and cold could possibly care about devils. She only said it was a repayment to Grayfia, but the background of their deal was never disclosed.

"Aside from overwhelming destructive power, he might also be quite reasonable; so long as I can pinpoint his intentions, we should know what our stratagem will be next, and for that, we have this girl~" Rizevim smiled and flickered his fingers, showing the motive of his bloodied clothes.

The body of a sleeping girl appeared in light robes, her hair was blonde and her heart was beyond breathtaking.

"The absence of Signus couldn't be allowed to slide, now that the Tepes are desperately trying to fend off the offensive against the Carmilla Clan, it was such an easy endeavour to kidnap her".

"What are we going to do with Sephirot Graal?" Euclid asked solemnly.

"Summon our army of course~"

"It is going to provoke war, Rizevim".

"War is heading our way anyway, perhaps the whole world, there was a thin balance that stopped the war from wracking through, and this dragon just smashed. Nothing will ever be the same~ Ares should be playing his cards as well, his toys perished the most during the catastrophe, Kokabiel and his useless fallen angels, I don't know what their plans were, but it had something to do with Japan. Ares may target the Shinto faction next to weaken their link with the devil, who knows~".

"What should we do next?"

"Our next and best move would be to get rid of useless variables, like that stupid son of mine… fighting the Golden Dragon God like that, he certainly didn't inherit my shrewdness, that boy must be yet recovering, in the meantime, it would do well to call a certain fellow to state our terms".

Rizevim took out what resembled a pitch-black skull and placed it on a table. After waving his hands with some devil magic, the talisman triggered and blue flames engulfed it, forming the silhouette of a hideous skull.

The ruler of hell, Hades.

"What do you want, Rizevim?" The voice was just as hideous as his presence.

The silver-haired Lucifer laughed and took a sip of his tea before speaking with clear and dry words.

"Samael".

"No".

"I thought we had a deal?~ does the ruler of hell have no word value whatsoever?" Rizevim taunted, not happy with Hades' response.

"There will be a change of plans, Samael is a resource of the fallen god faction now unless of course; you'd like to join… despite your lack of Godhood we could make a concession due to your power, that pet can't follow you though" Hades' grim voice taunted Euclid whose aura flared he otherwise remained silent.

"I have Sephirot Graal… I could summon Samael anyway" Rizevim ignored the proposal and countered.

"You'd need at least a relic of his remains, Rizevim. Do you think I haven't researched how that sacred gear works? A profane tool that can take harvest souls from my river without my permission, it being in your possession is enough for me to hunt you."

"You're welcome to try, Hades" Rizevim said challengingly.

"In any case, you don't have any talismans from Samael. I know this for a fact" Hades ignored his challenge and went straight to the point, if Sephirot Graal had bothered him as much, he'd have gotten rid of it when it was still in the Tepes Clan's hands.

Rizevim clenched his teeth before regaining his calm and standing up, still lower than the ruler of the netherworld's height.

"As you please, Hades… just bear in mind that your fallen god faction is henceforth my enemy… nothing shall stop me from accomplishing my long-lasting dream of reuniting with her again. If he's a dragon, then I shall summon an army of dragons to face him, simple as that".

There was determination in his voice, a determination that amused Hades.

"Hahaha~ good luck facing that monster, give it your best shot and give us a nice show."

The flames engulfed his body, and the skull medallion broke, never to be of use again.

"You heard him, Euclid… do you know who we're summoning first?~"

Rizevim was unconcerned, he took out something that resembled a gigantic fang, it levitated touching the floor and calling for Euclid's attention.

"That's… Aphofis?"

"And…?" Something else appeared, a silver strand of hair.

"Grendel. No, Crom Cruanch… are you sure? We may not be able to control them."

"One seeks darkness, the other strong opponents… easy desires to fulfil in our current times I believe~".
