Family Reunion II

[Richter's POV]

Grayfia's family is indeed unique, the three of them have such shining silver hair. Only Grayfia was breaking the order now with those golden strands along her braids. Her sister doesn't exactly resemble her… but she's just as gorgeous. Her mother is a more mature version of the two.

'What a nice trio~'

"Grayfia, could you introduce us?" I put my hand on my maid's shoulder.

"Sorry, master… Mother, sister... this is my master, Richter Golden-Haze, I serve as his maid. He's the love of my life, please treat him with respect" Grayfia didn't think twice before hooking up her hand with mine and saying those words confidently, going for the kill huh?

Grayfia's mother looked at me with a weird glint, I felt as if I was being scrutinized with a mere gaze.

"Richter-sama, this is my mother Fia Lucifuge and my sister, Layla Lucifuge" As Grayfia said that her sister bowed slightly, her eyes fixed on me while her mother giggled and presented her hand to me.

"It so nice to meet you. How should I address you? son-in-law?~ thank you for taking care of my beloved daughter all along".

I kissed the back of her palm and smiled, "It is she who has been taking care of me".

Then her sister nodded in my direction before flashing her sister a bright smile, the brightest one dare I say.

"I'm Layla Gremory now, big sister~ it is a pleasure to meet you, brother-in-law," she said, I merely nodded without much decorum but our gazes did linger on one another for a few seconds before I focused on her mother who still seemed to be inspecting me with her gaze as if I was a specimen, I guess that's to be expected since she's her mother.

I never went through anything like this with any of my mates, as odd as it sounds for this old me, this is the first time.

"Oh? You married into the Gremory family?" Grayfia's eyebrows lifted with interest.

"Yes, I married Sirzechs-sama" I could sense something fishy in Layla's expression towards Grayfia when she said that, but my maid didn't notice it, instead she embraced her sister tightly.

"Congratulations! I'm sorry I couldn't be around… how long has it been?"

"..." There was a brief moment of silence between the mother and the sister as they looked at one another as if astounded at Grayfia's reaction to the news.

"E-Ever since the civil war ended… four hundred years ago. We have a child too, his name is Millicas and he's ten years old. But he isn't here~" Upon talking about her child it was as if Layla's entire visage switched.

"Really? I want to meet my nephew!~" Grayfia had little hearts in her eyes, she quickly moved aside with her sister to speak further about this.

As that happened I could see how from different places of the castle, fallen angels and angels began to appear and they were... children. There were also adults, mostly servants, maids and guards. I more or less understand what's going on.

The family all laughed together while Layla introduced some people to Grayfia before the mother walked to my side. No matter if she's as weak as ants, she's still Grayfia's mother… moreover, her hair is silver.

"It is really a pleasure to meet you, son-in-law~ I hope my daughter has accomplished her maid duties correctly. I taught her everything I know~" Fia spoke with pride about her daughter, seeing her as she is now she realised that she did a good job.

And I can tell you that she did if Grayfia's discipline and commitment to her job are anything to go by.

"I assure you she has… she tidied up all my treasures in the most organised way possible and turned me shit hole into a palace, you raised up a marvellous daughter".

"Oh my~ then, if it is not too much to ask… could you tell me a little about your identity? I don't recall your distinguished name in our records" she began, this is the whole point of the thing, for her to know my background. I sensed how Layla and everyone's ears perked up.

"That's because I'm not from this world, my lady. Suffice it to say I'm a Dragon God" I wasn't about to explain all my power just for the sake of it, that should do.

Although I was downplaying myself by saying 'Dragon God' I had forgotten that those were also this world's peak existences.

Everyone in the hall palled when those words came out of my mouth and looked at Grayfia who was pouting.

'Master why don't you reveal your true identity… to say you're JUST a Dragon God'

In Helius, a Dragon God was just a Dragon Emperor that attained Godhood. The difference between a Dragon God and a Primordial Dragon was like the difference between an infant and a full-grown adult.

Or in her standards, the difference between a low-class rank devil and an ultimate-class rank devil.

'They don't know what a primordial is anyway… I'm here to meet your family, not to boast' I answered her nonchalantly.

'You're already boasting master, even if indirectly'.

She sighed and nodded, "it is the truth. Master is a Golden Dragon God to be exact".

Gasps and a look of interest portrayed themselves in my 'sister-in-law' and 'my mother-in-law'.

"That's so wonderful! I expected no less from my daughter, she really knows how to choose a master! Let's stop standing here and go to your room, servants! WE'RE HAVING A GRAND BANQUET FOR THE NEXT THREE DAYS! MY DAUGHTER IS BACK!"

"OOOOOHHH!!! LONG LIVE LUCIFUGE!"

Fia yelled and everyone began cheering in contentment, looks like the next three days will be quite lively.

They certainly would, but not in the way I was expecting.
