4 Chapter 4: Civil War

While Michael fought the Four Demon Kings, Yahweh watched the battle from a sphere.

Things went according to Yahweh's plan. After the Four Demon Kings disappeared, the demons would surely rebel. Furthermore, as long as the fallen angels didn't enter the battle, Heaven's power remained intact.

Yahweh's eyes shifted to the realm of the God of the Dead, Hades.

Just as Yahweh had anticipated, Hades was gathering an army to aid the demons. This was exactly what Yahweh wanted.

Through Hades, an alliance had been formed with the Olympian Gods, just as agreed upon:

Article 1: Heaven would seal Hades, and in return, Olympus would support Heaven in its war.

Article 2: Olympus and Heaven must aid each other when under attack.

Article 3: Both sides would respect each other's domains.

Article 4: Olympus would acknowledge the Voice of the World and allow its members to gain and use "Skills".

Article 5: Heaven and Olympus would sign a non-aggression pact for 400 years.

This agreement was mutually beneficial. Olympus would acknowledge the Voice of the World and accept the skills.

Yahweh knew that the prideful Olympian Gods would become reliant on skills. They would weaken over the centuries. If Olympus wanted to attack Heaven, they would risk annihilation.

Yahweh smiled with amusement. He found it entertaining how foolish his enemies were. "I shouldn't expect much from a world where a hero gains inexplicable power by touching a chest."

Yahweh turned the sphere to the Northern Front. Sariel and Raguel had already met, and the Astaroth and Beelzebub clans had established a defense line with their units.

Initially, the Beelzebub Clan had stayed to defend the Demon Capital. However, due to concerns about the Astaroth Clan's inability to defend the entire northern front, half of the Beelzebub Clan's units had been sent here.

With the arrival of Beelzebub clan's units, they narrowly gained superiority over the angels and compensated for their losses.

Yahweh smiled. He narrowed his eyes. With Sariel's and Raguel's power, the members of Astaroth and Beelzebub clans shouldn't be a problem.

Yahweh was confident in his children's powers, especially Sariel. He hadn't given Sariel the name "Angel of Death" for nothing. The Original Creator had bestowed upon Sariel immense powers, even granting her Gabriel's twin book, "The Book of the Dead".

This book could be used to kill anyone with a soul. However, it carried the risk of releasing the Shinigami Demon sealed in Sariel's book, so she couldn't use it too often.

Additionally, she possessed the Scythe of God, a weapon powerful enough to kill any being with a single slice.

She also had a skill called the Skeleton Key, allowing her to summon anyone she wished to the realm of the living and easily communicate with the gods of the realm of Death.

Taking all this into account, Sariel was undoubtedly one of the most powerful individuals in Heaven, albeit not as powerful as the four great Seraphs.

Yahweh looked at the Angelic Army preparing to move. Sariel and Raguel stood side by side in the sky.

Sariel looked solemnly at the battlefield. "We must break through the Northern Front and attack the Demon Capital."

"Yes, Uriel has achieved great victories in the Southern Front. Sooner or later, the Southern Front will fall. Considering Rafael will be there too," Raguel proudly said. He was proud of his siblings.

Sariel nodded. "Yes, we will attack the capital, Lucifaad. By the time we arrive there, Uriel and Rafael will already be dealing with the Demon Princes."

Raguel nodded. He wanted to end the war as soon as possible.

"Ajuka, don't you dare leave the house," Lord Astaroth looked at his son Ajuka. Despite being a younger demon, he was stronger than most of his peers.

The only disappointment for Lord Astaroth was his son being soft and gentle. For a demon, this was unthinkable.

Lord Astaroth glanced at his brilliant son and sighed. "Look, Ajuka. This war is getting more dreadful than ever."

Ajuka listened carefully to his father. Lord Astaroth looked at Ajuka seriously. "My son, if anything happens to me, you must lead our home."

"Promise me, Ajuka." Ajuka looked at his father's serious expression and nodded. "I promise, Father."

Lord Astaroth's stern expression softened. He smiled at Ajuka. "Good, now I must go."

Lord Astaroth's relaxed expression turned serious again. Then he stood up. With a determined expression, he bid farewell to Ajuka. Then he headed towards the Lords waiting outside.

One of the Lords stepped forward. "Are we ready to go?"

"It seems Archangel Sariel and Archangel Raguel are coming here," another Lord said with concern.

Sariel and Raguel are very powerful Archangels. Even a dozen Ultimate Class Demons would struggle against them.

Despite having many Ultimate Class demon soldiers, the Astaroth Clan wouldn't be able to handle two Archangels. That's why the Beelzebub Clan sent many Ultimate Class demons here. Moreover, with the disappearance of the Demon Kings, the demons were already struggling to defend two Fronts.

Uriel and Rafael had eliminated many Clans. As demons lost power day by day, Heaven gained a more advantageous position.

Moreover, many demon overlords had been eliminated in the human world, reducing communication between humans and demons.

If the Grigori had joined the war, demons could have held some Fronts for a while longer. The number of Fallen Angels was not small, and they had many 8-winged angels in their ranks.

Now under the leadership of Astaroth and the Beelzebub clan, many clans were fighting on the northern front. But the disappearance of the Demon Kings disrupted the entire command system. After all, it was the Demon Kings who devised the war plans on the Fronts.

Lucifer's son, Rizevim Livan Lucifer,He refused to lead armies and did not participate in the war. Only the Children of the Demon Kings controlled the demon armies. But they were all fools who only knew how to fight directly. Arrogant fools who could do nothing.

So demons could only lose more territory.

Lord Astaroth looked at the Lords before him. Many Lords from the 72 Pillars had been sent here by the Beelzebub Clan to defend.

Some looked afraid, some looked arrogant, and some stood silently. Since the invasion of Heaven began, the war had been almost a one-sided massacre. The demons had nothing to do.

Lord Astaroth could only sigh. "Continue to reinforce the Front. Our only hope is the return of the Demon Kings." Except for Uriel and Rafael, there was no one to defeat the Demon Kings. Even though Sariel and Raguel were very powerful, they couldn't fight the Demon Kings. Only if the two joined forces could they fight one of the Demon Kings.

Yahweh had given powerful abilities to all angels in Heaven. The four Great Seraphim were very powerful. Except for Lucifer, they could defeat the other Demon Kings. But despite being Archangels, Sariel and Raguel's powers were just slightly below those of the Demon Kings.

If all the Seraphim were as powerful as fighting the Demon Kings, there would be no need for Yahweh to join the war. He had given the strongest abilities to the four Great Seraphim. The rest of the Seraphim's abilities were just high-level skills.

The Lord who listened to Lord Astaroth's words nodded heavily.

Lord Astaroth spread his wings and rose into the air. "Let's go."

The other Lords also spread their wings and followed Lord Astaroth."

Raguel raised his spear. Then he pierced the heart of the flying demon approaching him.

"Ahhgg...!!" The demon writhed in agony. Raguel used the demon's body to block the arrows coming towards him.

Arrows struck the demon's body, opening holes in it. Raguel easily withdrew his spear from the demon's chest. The demon fell to the ground, its lifeless body crashing down.

Raguel then raised his hands and created dozens of spears made of light. With a swift motion of his hand, he sent them into the midst of the demon archer unit.

The archer unit couldn't withstand the consecutive onslaught of Holy Spears and quickly perished.

Raguel looked up. The battle was still raging on. In a short time, they brought down the Astaroth Clan's castles and supply lines. The demon army, having lost its command system, could do nothing against the forces of Heaven.

The breach of the northern defense line was imminent. Raguel clenched his fist eagerly. "Almost...! It will soon be time to reach the Capital, Lucifaad!"

Raguel then tightened his grip on his spear and flew into the midst of the oncoming wave of demons.

The demons spared no effort to defend themselves, but they couldn't stand against a Seraph like Raguel. Most of the demon army was decimated.

The weak were sent forth, the enemy weakened, then high-ranking demons attacked the weakened foe. This was the tactic used by demons in every battle.

Wherever Raguel passed, demons lay in pools of blood, their wings torn off like a bird fallen to the ground.

While Raguel defeated the demons with swift attacks, Sariel obliterated her enemies with her short sword.

Sariel further intensified her immense Holy power. Then she hurled arrows made of light at the demons attacking her at terrifying speed.

The demons unable to withstand Sariel's immense power turned to ashes.

Under Sariel's leadership, the angels swiftly attacked the demons and engaged in combat.

An angel thrust his spear into the demon's abdomen. A demon sent a lightning bolt cloaked in demonic power from behind the angel.

Before the lightning could strike the angel, Sariel flew and intercepted the attack with her wings. The angel breathed a sigh of relief and thanked her. "Thank you, sister."

"You're welcome." Sariel maintained her serious expression. Then she created hundreds of arrows made of light around her to kill all the demons in the vicinity. And she unleashed them.

The demons were completely shattered under Sariel's assault.

Sariel's eyes then drifted to her Brother, burning distant demons with his skills. Raguel was annihilating his enemies with both his spear and his holy power.

When Sariel sensed powerful demons approaching from afar, she became more serious. Among them, she could feel high-class demons. She turned her gaze.

It seemed as if Raguel had sensed it too. The battle paused, and they both looked ahead. For a while, some angels and demons also stopped. They took positions behind their leaders.

Lord Astaroth, though tense, tried to remain calm. After all, the power gap between them was immense.

Ten Ultimate-Class demons from the Beelzebub Clan stood behind Lord Astaroth. There were also many Ultimate-Class demons among the lords of other houses.

Still, Sariel and Raguel appeared calm.

The reason was simple. Sariel and Raguel were 12-winged Seraphs. Nothing below Satan-Level-Class could defeat them. So Sariel and Raguel remained very calm.

If the Demon Kings had not disappeared, Sariel and Raguel could have been in danger. But they were gone. Therefore, the demons were very weak on the battlefield. They couldn't fight against ten Seraphs.

One of the reasons Yahweh didn't send Metatron was this. He had great confidence in the abilities he had given to Sariel and Raguel.

Just as Lord Astaroth was about to speak, a foolish demon from the Beelzebub Clan stepped forward. "Surrender! If you do, we'll spare you!"

Sariel and Raguel looked strangely at the foolish demon. Didn't the demon sense their powers? Or was he too confident in himself?"

Before the demon from the Beelzebub Clan could speak, a sword pierced his heart.

The demon burned in flames before he could realize what was happening. "Ahhgg...!!!"

Before it was over, Ultimate-Class-Level demons attacked the subordinates of the Beelzebub Clan. Suddenly, the calm atmosphere turned into chaos.

"What's happening? Why are they attacking their own forces?" Raguel raised an eyebrow. Sariel looked at Lord Astaroth. "You, tell us what's going on?"

Sariel grabbed Lord Astaroth's collar and pulled him with her immense power. She asked in a stern voice.

Lord Astaroth was momentarily stunned by the immense power. But he quickly regained his composure and produced a document. "There's a ceasefire between Heaven and the newly formed Anti-Satan-Faction!"

Sariel stood there in shock. But she snapped back to attention at Raguel's voice. Raguel smiled. "Must be father's doing."

Sariel had to nod. Their father was usually a very clever man. Instead of using force, he always manipulated their enemies into either turning against each other or falling into traps to destroy themselves.

Sariel believed she inherited her father's silver tongue and sharp wit, and she was proud of it. Now she understood that she couldn't even come close to it.

As Sariel pieced together the clues, she understood even more. The missing Demon Kings, the newly formed Anti-Satan-Faction.

Her father had already pitted the weakened demons against each other. The authority established by the Demon Kings will crumble, and even if Heaven did nothing, their enemies would weaken.

Sariel stopped her thoughts. Then she looked at Lord Astaroth. "Can you deal with the subordinates of the Satan-Faction?"

Lord Astaroth stood tensely. Just standing next to an archangel was enough to drive his instincts crazy. "Y-yes, we can handle it."

Sariel nodded. "Do you have a copy of the agreement?"

"Yes, here." Lord Astaroth produced the agreement paper, as if he already knew.

Sariel took it and began to read.

Article 1: Heaven will not act against the Anti-Satan-Faction. The same applies within the Anti-Satan-Faction.

Article 2: Heaven and the demon groups will release prisoners without any conditions. (Only applicable to member clans of the Anti-Satan-Faction.)

Article 3: The Demon group will have to accept the first article of the peace agreement made by Heaven at the end of the war.

Article 4: Heaven will hold onto the places they have captured until the end of the war.

At the bottom of the agreement, Sariel saw the symbol of the Bael clan. Sariel asked her father to confirm this. She raised her hands and prayed. "Father, is this true?"

Yahweh's answer came immediately to Sariel. "Yes, it is true."

Sariel felt relieved. She looked at Raguel standing beside her. "The agreement is true, Raguel. We will withdraw."

Raguel nodded. Then he exclaimed loudly, "Brothers, we are withdrawing!! By our father's order!!"

Under Raguel's leadership, the angels began to retreat from the battlefield.

Before leaving, Sariel asked Lord Astaroth for a list of member clans of the Anti-Satan-Faction.

Lord Astaroth immediately provided it. "Here you go, madam."

Sariel took it and followed the retreating angels.

After a while, only the rebel forces and Satan's forces remained fighting each other on the battlefield.

********

This wasn't just happening on the northern front. Many lords from the 72 Pillars had launched a surprise attack on the Asmodeus Clan, Beelzebub Clan, Leviathan Clan, Lucifer Clan, and loyal lords.

The quickest response to this attack came from Lucifuge. While five out of Lucifer's six houses had already suffered heavy damage, the Lucifuge clan managed to escape with minimal losses.

Undoubtedly, the clans of the Demon Kings were not expecting this. They managed to evacuate the children of the Demon Kings with as little damage as possible. Currently, the capital Lucifaad was under a massive attack.

As the demons prepared for civil war, Yahweh arrived at Hades' palace in the realm of the Greek god of the dead. He opened the grand gates and entered the dark environment.

The Throne Room lit up as Yahweh entered, and Hades, with his eyes of burning bones, looked at Yahweh with a mixture of fear and astonishment.

These feelings quickly turned to anger. "Arrogant God. How dare you venture into the private domain of a god!! Are you not afraid to fight Olympus?"

Yahweh simply smiled, then tossed the agreement he had made with Olympus in front of the seated Hades. "Take a look."

Hades, with magic, brought the agreement to his hands. His bony fingers grasped it, and after reading it, he angrily set it ablaze. Rising from his throne, he glared at Yahweh. "These bastards...!! Traitors!!"

Forming a dark energy ball to attack Yahweh, Hades was interrupted by a spiritual sword piercing him.

With a cry of pain, Hades looked back to see a tall creature with long white hair behind him – Shinigami from the Naruto universe.

Since Yahweh's reincarnation into this world, he had been trying to create creatures and items seen in anime. Currently, Shinigami and the Voice of the World were successful projects.

Shinigami seized Hades' soul and pierced it with his sword. Hades screamed in agony, shaking the entire palace.

The severing of his soul seemed to greatly weaken Hades. Shinigami took the soul and sent it towards Yahweh. Yahweh produced a book and injected Hades' Death God divinity into it.

The book glowed with dark energy, illuminating the entire palace.

"I name you 'The Key to the Underworld,'" Yahweh declared, and as the dark energy emitted from the book subsided, the only difference was the inscription of the book's name on its cover.

To explain this book, it could summon monsters from the Underworld and extract human souls from the realm of the dead without harm. Additionally, since it contained half of Hades' soul, it possessed a partial consciousness.

The purpose of this consciousness was solely to serve its owner. Furthermore, the book contained many forbidden spells, elemental magic, summoning magic, and various types of magical knowledge conveyed by Yahweh.

Yahweh did not create this book for himself. It was a creation for the "Azazil" Project," which would hold power in both Heaven and the realm of the Devil after the war ended.

As for Hades, he breathed heavily and collapsed to his knees. Feeling his control over the dead diminish due to half of his soul being taken away enraged him.

This led to Hades trying to use all his remaining power for revenge, but powerful chains made of gold encased him, binding him to his throne.

Despite exerting all his strength, Hades couldn't break free from the chains. He glared angrily at Yahweh. "What have you done to me!?"

Yahweh chuckled softly and approached Hades. Until he stood in front of him. "To break these chains, you'll need the power of a Super-Class Devil. Moreover, the more you struggle, the more pain it will inflict upon you."

Hades grew furious. He felt this angry for the first time. Unfortunately, he couldn't even leave a scratch on the chains. Slowly, Hades' consciousness began to fade and he was forced into slumber.

Seeing Hades' consciousness forcibly shut down, Yahweh realized it was time to leave.

He exited through the grand gates, sealing them with a powerful seal before disappearing in a flurry of golden dust.
