4 Fooling Fate: The Beginning (4)

Ryujin was sure that if he still had his body he would've been crying tears of joy.

But remembering that he had to devour that soul he soon grew pensive.

Shaking his head (?), he went towards the soul and stood behind it. He stayed like that for a bit when the light appeared and swept over everyone.

He soon lost his emotions. Even if he had any kind of hesitation or guilt before it was erased by the light.

He silently stood behind the blessed soul, waiting for the perfect chance to merge with him.

Ryujin could sense the line growing short and his turn coming soon. Even if he had lost all emotions he still had a sense of tension that shouldn't have been present.

After waiting a bit the turn of the blessed soul came. Ryujin could see that the vortex in The Door Of Life seemed to have slowed down for some reason.

As soon as the blessed soul was about cross over Ryujin used that exact moment to overlap with the purple soul. His vision was then covered by a bright light.

After some time he opened his eyes.

Eyes!?

Ryujin immediately looked around and he saw that he was in a normal room. Before he could feel a burst of joy he heard a yell filled with rage resound within him,

"You thief!"

Soon his vision changed and he saw that he was in a place covered in all white. There seemed to be no end to the vast space there.

And not too far from him was a person. He was just like Ryujin, a teen from Japan just like him.

I felt myself tremble in fear from the last choice.

Steeling myself I spun the wheel and it landed on Highschool DxD. Sighing in relief I could imagine myself lying in bed with Rias, Grayfia, Akeno, and more heheheheh~

Ignoring my creepy laughter, I saw another wheel appear and it had the option of a cheat I could obtain.

I spun the wheel and it landed on 'Random Sacred Gear'.

I felt my lips twitch. This cheat felt so useless. Why couldn't I get the infinite mana or instant mastery?

Well, something is better than nothing.

Soon I felt my vision fade and the next thing I saw was that I was in a new body but it wasn't me in control of it!

Someone had hijacked the body that was supposed to be mine!

Giving Akio no time to respond he rushed at him and bit his shoulder tearing a piece off him. For a moment he felt disgusted but seeing that he felt no taste whatsoever he continued.

Akio was dazed by the sudden attack. Why was this person acting like a mad dog? But soon he felt pain from Ryujin's actions.

"Wait wait, What are you doing?" Ryujin didn't stop and bit him in different places and slowly devoured him.

"Stop! We can talk this out, Maybe we can figure out a solution best for the both of us?" Akio freed himself from Ryujin and hurriedly moved back.

Ryujin felt himself stop hearing those words allowing Akio to escape. He suddenly frowned before rushing to devour him again.

He had almost been influenced by his words. Was this the talk-no-jutsu of a protagonist?

He gave Akio no time before he ate him all bit by bit, ignoring his face filled with pain, sadness, rage, and grief. Akio did try to fight back and eat Ryujin in return but Ryujin was way far ahead of him and devoured him first.

Seeing the white space grow empty. Ryujin floated in silence.

Sigh

He had succeeded in Fooling Fate...
