Chapter 24

Title: Killer Queen...

After that conversation with Rias, Jeanne's blue eyes have coldness in them as she looks at the Gremory heir. "Listen, we want no trouble. We are only asking you to not interfere."

"Is that so…" Says Rias, her eyes also getting colder. "Don't worry, we won't interfere with your death."

Jeanne's holy aura immediately bursts out. "What was that?"

"Nothing…" Says Rias as her demonic energy leaks out too. "It just seems like the church sent some exorcists to die against Kokabiel."

*sigh* Jeanne sighs at that, Xenovia is about to pull out her sword but she stops her. "No need Xenovia, we aren't here to fight. Well then, this has been quite a terrible meeting if I must say so myself. See ya around princess~"

Rias's eyes twitched at that, but she didn't say anything. She knows that while Jeanne was talking to her like a kid, she couldn't let that pass as the heir of the Gremory Family. Even then, she doesn't want to start a fight and saw that Jeanne was the same too.

*sigh* 'Politics are really hard.' Pondered Rias, she was on edge during the whole meeting. But she knew that even her peerage wasn't strong enough to fight against holy weapons yet. Haruto explained to her clearly just how dangerous Holy Weapons can be to Devils… especially those at the level of Excalibur Fragments.

At the church trio walk out of the ORC Club building, Jeanne still has a cold look in her eyes.

Irina notices this and asks. "Jeanne, what is wrong?"

Jeanne is sweet, calm, and always nice. But it feels like she is a volcano today. But once she hears Irina, Jeanne gets a slight smile on her face.

"No, nothing is wrong." Says Jeanne, her face now back to having a full smile in it. 'Rias Gremory… she had his smell on her…'

On the other hand, inside the ORC Club room, things weren't calm either as Kiba has an annoyed look on his face. His usual smile gone, replaced by grinding teeth and an angry expression.

Rias sees this and immediately starts planning on how to solve the situation. This isn't good at all, she knows how angry Kiba is at the Holy Swords… specifically Excalibur. The weapon that led to his suffering in his childhood, the Holy Sword Project. 

'How would Haruto handle something like this?' Ponders Rias, she wants to solve it herself. But this situation is something she is inexperienced with.

Later on in the day, she and Akeno arrive at Haruto's house, a normal suburban-looking house.

"So this is the place then?" Asks Akeno.

"Yep, this is it." Answers Rias as she takes out a key and opens the front door. Akeno still has a surprised look on her face, once Rias sees this she smirks. "A little underwhelming isn't it?"

"Yeah… you could say that." Mumbles Akeno, honestly from her perspective she expected Haruto to live in a dark castle. Or at least a mansion, the guy is the owner of Abyss Auction, even the name sounds spooky and the website sells 99.9% of the stuff that is illegal in both supernatural and normal worlds.

"Are you gonna stand there all day?" Comes a familiar voice behind them, startling both of them. Once they look behind them they see a blond bombshell of a beauty.

"Anehta -sensei?!!" Exclaims Akeno in surprise. Not expecting someone like her in this place.

"Yeah, what?" Says the woman, her cold gaze settling down on the two girls in front of her. The look sends chills down both of their spines. "Don't litter around." Says Athena as she walks into the house, leaving behind Rias and Akeno.

"So… that happened…" Says Akeno uncomfortably.

"Yes." Says Rias simply, her eyes seemingly seething in anger. "That bitch is in a relationship with Haruto too."

"And you are okay with that?" Asks Akeno, unsure of how her best friend would feel in this situation. Knowing that your man is fu*king another woman on the side.

"No." Answers Rias simply. "No woman is okay with seeing someone she loves fu*k another woman… but I can understand it and accept what I have to do to stay with the one I love."

Akeno doesn't say anything about it, she knows that Lord Gremory has a harem too and understands how this works. No woman or man would be happy that their lover has a harem. But they put up with it for their love. 

Haruto is also someone powerful enough to have a harem too. He is successful also, so that is double points in his favor. Trying to hold a harem being weak and taking them for granted won't work, the members will just go to other people's arms. 

It might seem simple, but it's not, every person has their goals, dreams, and what they want. It takes a special kind of person to be able to hold a harem together and loyal.

'Haruto should be able to do that.' Deduces Akeno. 'He is quite charismatic, especially since he needs to hold an organization like the Abyss Auction together. There are dangerous people in there, and to even keep them from fighting should be hell. But he can do more than that, he can actually make them work for him.'

"Oh, Athena -san, how are you doing?" Says Haruto's mother, Rias hears this and she hurriedly takes off her shoes and rushes towards the kitchen, not wanting to let Athena one up her.

Akeno only sighs at this and enters the house, closing the door behind her. She enters the living room with a smile and says. "Hello~"

*crash*

Immediately some plates fall on the ground and breaking them. Haruto's mother looks at Akeno and looks at her with pitying eyes. "Oh no… don't tell me… you too young lady?!!"

"Hm?" Akeno tilts her head to the side confused.

"Ahhh… this can't be happening." Cries Haruto's mother. "My son, where did he get such experience with women. Neither of our blood is the blood of a ladies' man. My husband was a loser that I only pity dated too."

"Oy! Don't say things like that as if I am not here." Says Haruto's dad as he watches TV.

'What… a weird family. But perfectly normal.' Thinks Akeno, clearly seeing that Haruto's parents are normal also.

….

At this time, the church trio was walking along a park, going towards the abandoned church in town.

"Well hello, there ladies." Haruto comes out behind a tree with a smile on his face. "Welcome to Kuoh town."

"Haruto!! You were in Kuoh!!" Exclaims Irina in shock. 

Xenovia has fire in her eyes as she looks at Haruto, and Jeanne has a cold look on her face. 

"Yeah, I returned home to meet the family. Spend some relaxing years now and let the supernatural forget about me for a while." Says Haruto casually.

As she hears this, Xenovia pulls out Excalibur Destruction, pulling the seals off the sword and slashing at Haruto.

"Energetic as always, Xenovia." Says Haruto, the smile adorning his face turning dark.

BOOOM!!!

Xenovia slashes at him but is rocketed back by an invisible force that sends her crashing through multiple trees.
