When she said that they looked back at me. When they did I just hopped up like nothing happened to look toward them with a hole in my head. That soon closed up.

"W-What are you?" Ironwood asked.

"I'll tell you if you can survive this fight." I told him. "I'm going to tell you though. I got what I wanted from you two. So, your very slim chance of stopping me just became non-existent."

When I said that you could hear a masculine voice say, "Boost!" Then I vanished from sight. Winter, being the closest to me, put up her weapon in a hurry. However, only felt the wind pass by her.

First, a fizzing-out sound sounded then a choking sound sounded through the air. Causing Winter to turn around and the sight made her scream.

My hand was through Ironwood's chest with his heart in my hand still beating.

Pulling my hand back out of his body. I looked at his heart with disgust. I threw it away from me and it started going down the deep abyss below Atlas.

"Well, looks like you just got a Winter promotion. You're the second in command right?" I summon fire in my hand to evaporate the blood.

She didn't say anything and kept looking at Ironwood's body in shock. Looking at her and his body I sighed realizing why she was in such shock.

"You had feelings for him didn't you?" I asked, knowing the answer. "Just to let you know he was never going to think of you any differently."

"Why?" she asked with tears in her eyes.

"He was going to become a tyrant. Too much power in the hands of one corrupts. I would know after all. At least from what I've seen of my past self." I told her.

"Are you going to kill me?" she asked, seeming to have given up.

"No, I am not. You were just doing your job and you actually helped me more than you think." I said looking toward the notification I've gotten.

Level Increase +20]

Provoking her was worth every second. Didn't know Dark Siphon would raise my level. However, I'm not complaining. This small battle did more for me than the battle at Mountain Glenn.

Looking at my status I saw I had almost 300 status points to spend. However, I didn't gain any new skills from my stats leveling. Did the system stop giving free abilities? I'll just steal or create more if it did, but it is upsetting.

"Are you an enemy of the kingdoms?" she asked, causing me to think.

Am I? I don't have any ill will toward them. If they don't come after me I won't retaliate. The only ones I'm after are Salem and Cinder.

"I'm not a friend. However, I'm not an enemy. As long as no one comes after my family they won't attract my wrath." I told her.

"If you don't come after the kingdoms I won't do anything against you. However, someone will have to take responsibility for Ironwood's death." She said, causing me to think.

"Use me." I heard Raven speak up.

"That could work." I said understanding what Raven is thinking. "The Branwen tribe are the most difficult bandits to attract. As long as you keep them moving nothing should happen to them."

"I was thinking the same thing." she said with a smile. She hadn't been wearing her mask since she joined my peerage.

"If that is what you wish I'll use Raven. She is the best bet. Everyone knows how powerful the Branwen tribe is." She said, causing Raven to chuckle.

"You have no idea." Raven told her while chuckling.

"Well, let's leave Raven." I told her to walk toward her. She just picked up the Relics and walked over to me.

I opened up a portal, but right before I did I felt something trying to be drawn to me. Activating my magic eyes I followed the feeling and felt a powerful source of ice magic. Could it be?

"Winter, by chance are you housing the Winter maiden?" I asked, still looking up toward Atlas.

"That is confidential." she said, answering my question.

"Okay, that is all I needed to know." I said walking toward the portal with Raven.

We stepped through but didn't appear back at Beacon. We took another detour. We walked out of the portal in a hospital room with an old woman lying in a bed.

"Is it time for dinner already? I wasn't expecting visitors for a while." she said.

Looking at her with my eyes, the power she held was immense. This lady was experienced and knew what she was.

"You're the Winter Maiden." I stated.

"Ah, yes. It has been a long time since I was called that. Everyone else beats around the bush. Only letting me see Winter. They want her to be the next Maiden." the woman started explaining.

"What if I could take the powers from you?" I asked.

"If that is what you are after. You can try. I've protected them this long though and won't give up without a fight," she explained.

"Why do you protect the power?" I asked her, generally curious.

"I don't wish to put these powers on another young girl," she told me with a sad look. "It must be their choice."

"So, it isn't because you don't want to die," I asked her.

"My time is almost up. I don't fear it." She solemnly said.

"If that is why you keep the Maiden powers. I can help you." I told her. "Let me take the power and I'll give it to someone who won't suffer for them."

"Young man, the powers can only go to a female," she told me, chuckling.

"In normal situations. However, I'm not a normal being." I told her not to elaborate.
