"So, this is the vault. Are you going to do the honors?" I asked her.

"I just realized something. We snuck in without anyone knowing. Sure is going to be a surprise when Salem or Ozpin find out the relic disappeared." she mentioned making me laugh.

"I didn't even think of that. The look on their faces is going to be priceless." I said with a chuckle.

She just looked at me suspiciously wondering if I planned this. Shaking her head she went up to the vault and put her hand on it. The door started glowing before sliding open. Inside was a vast desert. Not far inside was a lamp floating above a stone.

Raven and I both walked inside toward the lamp.

"Do you have a question that you always wanted to be answered?" I asked Raven.

"I guess... the only question right now would be if I made the right choice..." Raven started. "Should I have stayed with my daughter and be a mother or was running away the smart choice?"

"Hmm... that question is something that you could ask the lamp. After all the power it holds is to grant people knowledge. However, I think it would be better to find out that answer yourself." I told Raven who looked at me confused.

"You want a definite answer. Yes or No. These shouldn't come from others, they should come from within. Does your heart believe you made the right choice or does it say you made the wrong one?" I further elaborated. "Either way. I personally believed you did make the correct choice. Salem would have tracked you down quickly if you stayed in one place. Your daughter probably would have been captured, tortured, possibly killed, or even turned to her side. You would have had the worst of it for being a maiden."

"I see..." Raven said, going quiet.

We made it to the relic and I grabbed it. When I picked it up the relic seemed to emit something akin to fear. Looking at it suspiciously, I thought about if I should have asked why it seemed to fear me.

Looking at Raven who was watching me silently.

"Do you think this relic could tell me how to gain my power back?" I asked her.

"You said it gives people knowledge that might be possible," she said.

'What about you Ddraig?' I asked for my sacred gear.

'Possible. However, it seems like the being inside the relic may have known you before. Hikari told you that you weren't liked by many. Meaning the fear the relic emitted maybe because she knew you.' Ddraig told me.

Deciding to get at least one question answered I called the name of the being in the relic.

"Jinn!" I called out loud.

When I did, a blue smoke started coming from the relic. The wind all around us froze while the sand stopped in mid-air. The smoke started forming into a being with blue skin and golden jewels decorating her body.

The genie from the lamp looked at me and I could instantly sense terror coming from her. She looked like she wanted to run away, but couldn't because she was attached to the lamp.

"L-Long time no see Mavros? I thought this world was boring. Why did you come back?" Jinn said trying to act like she wasn't afraid even if she stuttered a bit.

"You know me?" I asked her. "This isn't a question. If it takes up one of your two remaining things."

"Wait... do you not remember your past?" Jinn asked.

"No, I'm trying to remember. Thought you could fill in some gaps." I told her to get a laugh from her.

"Oh, how the mighty have fallen. The one who used to treat others like dirt and control others with an iron fist. Don't remember how disgusting and evil you were." she said laughing out loud.

When she said this I started getting angry. I glared at Jinn while she just laughed it up.

"What a pathetic glare. I remember how I used to fear your presence. Now your glare is nothing compared to my creators." she said, still laughing.

"Mavros, are you okay?" Raven asked me.

I didn't say anything and started squeezing the lamp handle. It started cracking a bit under the pressure and Jinn instantly stopped laughing and looked at me with fear.

That look reminded me of something. I just couldn't quite place it, but my next words even surprised me.

"Kneel to your god!" I told her.

Jinn seemed to drop out of the air and kneeled instantly. The look on her face made me realize that it was instinctual to her. However, her mouth seemed to move on its own and she spoke toward me in a submissive tone.

"What can I do for you my liege?" Jinn spoke.

When those words were spoken something seemed to crack in my head and I saw a glimpse of my past.

I was walking through a castle while four relics seemed to float by me. If I looked closer the relics were being held by four blue beings, only one I could recognize. Jinn.

I told all four beings to kneel and they did instantly. I could feel the power I had over them. It was like an invisible chain floated between my being and theirs. Their minds were opened to me. Not a single thought was kept secret.

I learned of their fear, anger, sadness, and shame. They were afraid I would do what I did to the... Faunus to them.

What did I do?

Keeping my sight on the memory, I saw myself reach my hand out and grab the invisible chain. I felt energy flow from them into my being.

"NO! Please Master, don't kill us. We have done everything you asked!" Jinn yelled.
