95 Chapter 95

"Thank you for the help Ophis. You too Great Red." Lightly patting both Ophis and the crimson floor with a sincere grin on his face Damian had no fear in his eyes despite the individuals he was talking to.

"As long as it helps protect the wall I couldn't care less." Was Great Red's disinterested response, his gruff and somewhat rebellious voice sounding much more cute to Damian's ears than he would have expected.

The current training plan he had for the Longinus users and those closest to him was fairly simple, they would increase their control in the dominion of Dreams whilst time was slowed to a crawl by the machinations of the Infinite.

"Do you love me now?" Ophis inquired curiously, an expectant look in her eyes. Utilizing her origin of Infinity she increased the time the group could spend in the dream. The only reason it wasn't truly infinite was because of mental limits.

"No, but I definitely appreciate you." Damian replied sincerely. He couldn't do what they had done not because he didn't have the power to do so but just because of the different directions their powers took born from the words that made up their origin.

Damian was Control and in control there were no dreams, there was no advancement, and there certainly was no time dilation. Meanwhile, Ophis as the Infinite Dragon could increase anything an infinite number of times while Great Red could manipulate and manifest dreams.

The two were extraordinarily powerful beings that even Damian may struggle with but he had no doubts about his victory. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for the gods of ExE. Their power was simply of another level innately.

It was similar to Superman and his innate gifts in many ways, albeit less severe in the sheer difference. They weren't born stronger like Superman though, they were just required to be strong if they wanted to live.

For that exact reason, Great Red and even Ophis could be defeated. The difference between a person with plentiful combat experience and one without was severe even if in many ways the two dragons were the stronger combatant.

And, annoyingly enough, the ExE gods were much too similar to the devils for Damian's taste even if there was a healthy dose of dragon as well. Their warmongering attitudes and desire for slaughter made them a perfect mix of the two races' worst traits.

It was this connection that made the incessant banging on the wall all the worse. If it weren't for Damian's assistance the wall would have long fallen and their world would be thrust into a war they didn't know had even started.

"Why did you tell people, Bat?" Great Red inquired in annoyance. Getting help wasn't something he appreciated but he did understand its value. The three of them were strong but there were plenty of strong people on the enemy side as well. To put it bluntly, they were pretty fucked.

"They don't have the time to focus on this, not with Hades running around like that. Don't worry, I'll take care of it." Damian explained with a smile. He didn't mind taking a little pain so his comrades could live safely. Hades was against that as well but they could handle him.

"Against Regalzeva? And Melvazoa? Would you lose?" Great Red asked solemnly, fully aware of his own weakness at the moment. He would never admit it, but he'd lose to them. Damian was extraordinarily strong but… Great Red had his doubts.

"Nah, I'd win." Damian replied confidently, almost casual in his tone. Regalzeva was a strong opponent that he knew almost nothing about though that went for all ExE beings. If it was him from just a few days ago he would have been worried even with his Demonic Heart but…

"Want to mate?" Ophis asked, gently tugging on Damian's sleeve. For reasons unknown to even her, her lower body was very appreciative of those words. So much so that it began crying in joy without cessation.

"Not right now. I have a meeting I can't miss." Damian replied casually, only belatedly realizing the hope he had just given the Infinite Dragon. But that was, to some extent, acceptable. Ophis had proven herself to be more than skilled enough in the art of seduction after all.

"Tomorrow?" Ophis asked hopeful, stars nearly in her eyes before they were crushed at the shake of Damian's head. Leaving the dejected girl behind Damian teleported off to the location of his meeting where quite a few people waited.

"It's a pleasure to meet you again Damian." The holy voice of Michael was the first to greet Damian upon his arrival, the gentle smile on the angel's face sincerely showing his welcoming attitude even to a devil such as himself.

"It's nice to see you as well Michael though I didn't expect it to be so soon." Cheerfully replying to the angel Damian had no reservations in shaking the man's hand with a smile. Michael was very pleasant to talk to even if their topics brought up embarrassing moments.

"I agree. However, a reunion is auspicious no matter the circumstance so let's make sure to enjoy it." Michael offered his advice with a kind smile, the fatherly smile on his face giving off the atmosphere of a long conversation prompting the angel's guest to cough loudly.

"Excuse me Lord Michael, but I'd like to hurry." The blue and green haired wielder or Durandal requested solemnly, her eyes filled with the ferocity of a lion waiting to pounce. By now Damian had well and truly solidified his position as third so she was either dumb or overconfident.

"You're just as energetic as I've heard Miss Quarta." Damian spoke with a chuckle. Xenovia didn't want to fight him to win, she wasn't that dumb. All she wanted was to get stronger and stronger forever.

"Fight me." Xenovia demanded blandly, completely unwilling to bend the knee here. She desired strength more than anybody and Damian who had been in that position knew just how to solve the issue. A healthy dose of reality.

"I win." Damian spoke cheerfully, his glowing finger pressed on her forehead before she could even begin to react.
