[Starting Split]

I dive out of the way of a titanic dark magic beam that arcs upwards and through the top of a mountain, utterly vaporizing it.

I am sent hurtling towards the side as the jets in the back of my armor light up, propelling me out of the way of a follow-up attack shaped vaguely like a spear.

I look to the hour glass shaped object in my hand, black and crimson sands are slowly filling it up, residue from my little raging super boss' dark magic attacks.

I'll need this for something later.

I cross my arms as a sphere-like barrier containing the grey skinned girl rapidly follows me.

With a sudden burst of speed that utterly shatters the sound barrier I disappear, backflipping through the air as I allow the raging super boss to pass underneath me.

My shin smashes into her barrier, the red armored grieve losing some color as it begins flaking off.

My attack worked however, she is rocketed downwards where she crashes into the earth below, carving a deep hole into the ground as she is forcibly bored deeper and deeper.

I glance down to my scale mail's shin which certainly looks as if it has seen better days, it has lost basically all color, being replaced by a black- slightly rusty looking- metal.

"Hn?" I hum as I watch the color slowly return and the crumpled metal slowly fix itself.

"Her barrier is highly corrosive by nature... it's dark magic." The dragon residing within the armor supplies.

"I see. Dangerous. Would a penetrate work?"

"Absolutely." Ddraig grins.

She is a lot weaker than I expected. Not too much, honestly.

"'Weaker than you expected'." The dragon in my armor scoffs. "She is already roughly on par with a heavenly dragon. How strong did you expect for her to be?!"

"oh right... we are possibly hundreds of years in the past... that sort of explains it. She hasn't learned a lot of her supernatural mumbo jumbo."

I look to the filled hourglass. "Annnnd that's another."

It disappears into my spatial storage as I look down at the crater

A plume of molten earth shoots upwards abruptly, much like a volcano violently erupting,

I fly back as several blasts of dark magic fill the sky, each shaped vaguely like skulls, they curve towards me in a fanning pattern- suddenly the girl in the barrier shoots out of the smoke below me, letting out a roar as she lunges towards me, a crackling pillar of red fire following along beside her in the pointed shape of a spear.

Power floods my body as I use my mythic powers, I hold a hand out towards the horde of skulls and force all of them to disappear.

[NEGATE]

I float around the spear stab with a slightly bored frown, then promptly punch through the barrier.

[PENETRATE!]

I see the girl's eyes widen in slow motion as my gauntleted fist wraps around her throat, the barrier around her slowly flakes away as I spin and hurl her downwards as hard as I can.

She strikes the ground a few moments later, the last dregs of her barrier stopping her from getting seriously wounded.

I land with a loud crash, knees bending as I absorb the force of my sudden movement.

I take a single step forwards and cock an arm back, the light grey haired girl can only stare as my fist inches closer and closer to her face.

My hand stops an inch from her nose, the earth behind her is torn asunder, a massive trench being carved for several hundred feet.

The super boss has her eyes clenched shut, but... the blow never comes.

She slowly cracks open an eye as I bring my fist back, my helmet slides open as I look over her.

"Who are you?" I question slowly with an impassive frown. "You are clearly the cause of the magical anomaly I felt. But... I want to know why. Why you attacked me."

"You... aren't with them?" The girl whispers, eyes growing wide. "You... are a human? Not an orc?"

I offer a hand to the girl. "I see. A misunderstanding... I apologize if I hurt you... my name is Gaius Decarabia."

The girl shudders slightly, tears prickling her eyes again, I glance over my shoulder to see the four crosses stood alone in the blackened wasteland.

"I see... I see." I sigh as I crouch down beside the girl. "I am... sorry you had to go through this..."

Her shoulders shake.

I reach over and pat the top of her head, causing the girl to look over and cautiously glare at me.

"I know what it's like to lose family." I announce with a sad smile. "I couldn't save mine, but... I guess I could save yours."

"What?" She whispers, eyes growing wide.

"Do I have your permission to revive your family?"

"What?!"

I slowly stand. "I can revive them as long as a single part of their body remains. Do you want me to?"

"Y-You'd do that? For someone you just met?!"

"Well, to be honest, I wouldn't say I'm doing this out of the goodness of my heart... I'd like to ask for you to join me. It has been a while since I have had anyone fight roughly on par with me, and to me, it looks like you haven't even reached your full potential. I would really like for you to join me."

"Will you still revive my family if I say n-no?" She meekly asks.

"Oh, of course. I'm not that shallow." I scoff as I slowly stand.

"Please. Please revive them! I-I... I'll join you!"

"Alright, alright, I'll revive them... though I'll warn you, while this does revive them as they were before their death, the trauma of said death will remain... they will remember that they died and how they died. In addition, rebinding a soul to a body is extremely taxing, they will lose a portion of their power, probably around five or ten percent, but that lost power could eventually be regained through intensive training. Those are the only costs of my revival method, thought.

"of course, if someone dies repeatedly and I revive them repeatedly, eventually they will reach a state where they basically have nothing left to give... in which case, they stay dead." As I monologue the horned girl slowly trails behind me. "Since this is their first time, it's more or less safe."

Now that I get a closer look at the bodies, their wounds are certainly extensive... cutting open their stomachs and allowing intestines to spill out, literally gouging out their eyes.

I hear the girl's breath catch in her throat as she turns away.

They did this for everyone... even the child who appears to be eight or younger.

"Ugh. What savages... to do this to even children." I scoff with narrowed eyes.

"So, how did a stupid bunch like orcs manage to do this to your family."

"O-Orcs... aren't stupid. They are surprisingly intelligent. The tribal appearance they show off is merely a facade. They are perhaps the most cunning, magically adept, and martially adept races on terraria." The girl lowly growls.

The nails free themselves from the small child's palms and feet, his organs are returned into his body with a simple casting of 'restore corpse'.

"I see." I announce as the boy slowly floats to the ground. 'ugh. Four resurrection spells, eh? That'll- wait... this entire area is saturated in corrupt energies... there's a certain spell that'll be able to revive those poor four without crippling losses to their power and collect all of those Ashes of Annihilation into a nice little pile. It'll cost more than the four scrolls, but it'll be worth it.'

With a flash a stone tablet appears in my hand.

I look over my shoulder to the girl. "By the way... I don't think I ever got your name."

"Calamitas." She quietly whispers.

"S-Seriously?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

She doesn't look back but does a slow confirming nod. "Calamitas Apokalypse"

I silently stare at her for a moment before looking to the small boy. "Alright, Calamitas, I am vaguely unsure if your family will absolutely freak out upon being revived, so I'd like it if you were to keep them from running out of control."

"I-I alright. I'll try." She weakly agrees.

The other three are swiftly brought to the floor as well, each swiftly fixed much like the boy. Organs put back in their place, eyes regrown, skin sealed as if it was never cut open.

"I'm starting now."

Power flows through my body as I begin casting the divine spell scrawled on the tablet,

[TRANSFER!]

A blinding light explodes outwards as the miracle spell completes, dozens of small containers appear around me, accepting the dark energy.

Several seconds pass as the bright holy light causes me some slight discomfort. If I was a weaker devil, or a devil that wasn't practically immune to the light element, that may have caused some pain beyond the annoying bright- nigh blinding- light.

The containers disappear into my storage as I smile slightly.

The blinding light dissipates slowly, leaving spots in my vision, when they clear it looks as if white feathers rain down from the sky, gently resting against the ground.

Wherever the feathers touch, life returns to the world, instead of the blackened and charred dirt, green grass sprouts, from the blackened remains of the tree life, new saplings sprout, with a single spell I have given this entire place a breath of life.

I look down to the four figures, who- while unconscious- are very much alive.

'Ridiculous. Every single one of them... even the child is roughly on par with any of the dragon kings... the one behind you however... she is a horrifying prodigy. To have strength of that caliber at that age?! She... might eventually cause the Infinite to exert a little force if they came to blows.'

A smile crosses my face. 'Correct. Which is why I am so hellbent on getting her on my side.'

I glance over my shoulder. "Done."

"What... was that?" The girl behind me whispers.

"A spell I like to call 'Miracle'." I state as I turn and slowly walk away, brushing a hand on my red armor to rid it of some dust.

"I will leave you to reunite with your family... when they wake up of course... I personally came to with realm to forge a weapon befitting myself... it is what I was doing before I felt your power rage out of control."

"What if I run?" The girl questions.

I turn slowly. "You don't seem the type... while you do practice dark magic, you seem honest, one who doesn't use her powers of darkness for offense, only defense and counterattacks. You have managed to get a rein on the most evil of magics and bent it to your will of peace and study... I respect that."

I scratch my chin with a gauntleted finger. "Ah, well, I suppose I should talk more or less about a certain option you have for joining me."

"An option?" She mutters, quietly.

"My name is Gaius Decarabia, and I am a devil, set to be the fifth leader of our kind. Due to being the fifth leader, that means I must have powerful subordinates as well. The political landscape in the underworld- not to be confused with this world's underworld, as yes, I crossed dimensions to come here- is currently in a very complex state. Three main factions exist, Old Satans, or rather, the descendants of the old satans, as all of the original satans were killed in a great war thousands of years ago, all of whom believe it is their birthright to conquer, and they desire to go to war with... basically everyone. The new satan faction, which I myself am a part of are far more peaceful. We have made peace with those who used to be our greatest enemies and are looking our for the betterment of devil kind... finally the Great King faction, lead by one man... they are basically eviler new satans. In our society, old satans are outcasts forced to live on the outskirts of the underworld after they lost a civil war, and the Great King and New Satan faction rule basically hand and hand."

"One of the new satans, Ajuka Beelzebub, developed something that catapulted the devil race into a new age. He calls it 'Evil Pieces', a special type of chess piece which allows a 'king' to reincarnate other races, such as yourself, into devils."

"You want to reincarnate me into a devil?" The girl asks with a frown.

"Correct." I nod.

"…"

"What are the benefits and flaws to this?" She questions slowly.

Ah, take it from a dark mage to base a decision based on how bad the negatives are for the power granted.

"Firstly, you will gain a lifespan of roughly ten thousand years." I announce with a small shrug.

"T-Ten thousand?! Mine is only a mere three hundred!"

"Ten thousand is roughly the maximum you can die early due to disease, or murder, sort of like any race. In addition you gain the ability to wield demonic magic based on imagination."

"Will I lose my current magical ability?"

"No, it's more akin to being a swordswoman who primarily wields one sword and finding a second sword. Nothing says that you have to swap to the new sword, but you take it with you all the same. Nothing says you can't wield both at the same time as well."

"I see..." She nods.

"You might even be able to use this new 'demonic mana' to power some of your other spells."

"And for the flaws?" She mutters with narrowed eyes. "Surely something this gracious must have extremely large drawbacks."

"Not really. You'll get a weakness to holy objects, but that's more or less proportional to your strength compared to the strength of the item in question... light magic will also be more harmful than normal... in addition you'll be harmed by crosses and the word 'God'… back in my old world, at the very least. You'll also be forced to start at 'low class' despite your incredible power, potentially causing people to look down on you."

"Now, as I was saying for the benefits, you'll also gain a supernatural ability to understand- and speak, any spoken language. In addition, you can rank up and become devil nobility, you will in turn be able to gain your own evil pieces... and reincarnate your own peerage."

"…"

"If you need time to think about it, by all means, you can talk to your family about it... I'm going to go bully a sentient ooze into giving me its purified gel so I can make a sword which I will then combine with another sword... and then another and so on until I get my super special sword."

I let out a low click and scratch the side of my head. "Damn it. So many steps... no way I can do all of that in one mere day."

"Bye Calamatas. I'll be back in an hour or so." I wave as I simply teleport away.

[Split]

I scratch the side of my head as I slowly walk around the near silent forest. In my hand is a small jar containing bluish grey substance that seems to be glowing slightly "Hn."

A strange mishmash of red and purple ooze shudders behind me.

A slime.

The first slime to gain true intellect.

And I just bullied the fuck out of it until it gave me what I wanted from it.

"Sorry about that... but you attacked me first. Let it be known." I shrug idly as I allow the 'purified gel' to disappear.

Quite a few things have changed when turning this used to be 2D platforming sandbox game into a real world.

First and foremost, is that in game, you typically unlock new 'ores' by defeating certain bosses... at least for the calamity mod...

In this world, each and every ore exists... somewhere out there on this planet.

Not being stuck on a flat plane really helps with the expansiveness of this world.

I pull out a check list with a bright smile.

Super Omega Blade Checklist:

Part 1: Galaxia:

Grab Dirt [ ]

Grab Stone [ ]

Grab Wooden Blade [ ]

(Above are easily accomplishable, finish at the end as to not be dragging around a bunch of materials)

Go to Harpy Sky City for Aerialite: [ ]

*The other half of the Biome Blade needs a Starfury. Pick that up when you go to save a trip.

Go to Underworld City for Hellstone Bars: [ ]

Forge an incomplete Biome Blade: [ ]

I let out a low click. "Well. Look like the Sky City is the first destination."

I snap my fingers, suddenly teleporting a fair distance away.

I cross my arms amidst a forest and look upwards.

Sitting among the clouds is a massive island, water dribbles down from a small waterfall to the side, hundreds of buildings can be seen just above the edge, each with a dazzling blue and gold color.

The entire city practically radiates magical power, which makes sense as the mere bricks of that city are magical, made from stars that have fallen from the heavens.

They built buildings out of the same materials that they use to forge weaponry.

The Harpy Sky City Astria. Apparently one of the most well defended locations on the entire planet of Terrarium. They have weapons capable of bringing down comets on foes, and the buildings are extremely durable. Most ranged attacks, even cannons, would leave nothing more than a slight scuff mark.

I didn't simply teleport up there as it may be seen as a threat, and while I could utterly destroy said city in a heartbeat, I don't really want to do that.

I summon a simple wooden staff and step up onto it, using my telekinesis spell to swiftly fly myself towards the city.

I slow my flight to a halt as I notice a small speck dive off the edge of the city and begin rapidly approaching.

I cross my arms and wait for the spec to grow larger and larger, eventually revealing itself to be a woman with short blue hair that barely passes the chin, she has slightly pale skin and red eyes, frankly her hair makes her look a little like Levi from Fairy Tail, but that's where the similarities end, instead of arms she has two large wings covered in blue and red feathers, the outsides are red, yet the inner parts a deep vibrant blue similar to her hair, instead of legs, she has what you may normally see on a bird, she has featherless clawed talons instead of feet, her lack of feathers trailing up to her knees, then it transitions to fairly fluffy looking red feathers up to about her thighs... where it then transitions to skin.

She wears a simple blue bikini which covers her crotch and roughly C cup sized breasts.

Clutched in her talon like feet is a simple spear of red and yellow metal.

Is... that a spear version of the starfury?.

A bright smile is on her face. "Hello human! What brings you to the harpy sky city?"

"I'm looking to buy some materials, actually." I reply easily.

"Oh! Okay! Please follow me. We usually don't get many visitors when we are traveling between cities."

I slowly float after her as she flutters ahead.

"So! What are you looking for?" The girl asks with a peppy chirp.

"Metals, primarily." I state with a slightly bored frown. "I'm a smith by trade. It's in my blood."

"Oh! That's great!" She smiles as we finally land on the golden brick streets of the city, the harpy before me kicking the spear grasped in her talons upwards, where she snags it in the crook of one of her wings. "I-I'm free right now. So maybe I could show you?"

"If you've got time, I certainly won't say no." I shrug with a small smile that causes the girl to blush slightly as she looks back over her shoulder.

"My name is Claira." The harpy declares. "What is yours?"

"Gaius." I reply as I match her slow pace.

This city is... calm. Dozens of harpies with feathers of numerous color mill about, going about their lives peacefully, carrying backpacks of groceries in their feathered arms, others have a limb looped with the arm of a man, and others and selling their wares at the side of the street.

It's certainly calmer than I expected.

Personally, I was expecting the 'kidnap men to have children' sort of harpies. The game itself certainly didn't make me like them more.

Fucking bastards... knocking me off my sky bridges.

But here, it appears they, in their massive cities, travel the world acting as trade hubs.

It's not as if they are unattractive, thus they probably have no limit to men wanting to come up here and live with them.

"Please follow me. I'll show you to our greatest sword smith!" The girl declares.

I steadily follow along as she continues speaking peppily.

"So! Uh... you are a wizard, right?"

"You could call me that, yes." I nod slowly.

"And you smith weapons and armor, right? So, you could consider yourself a magical swordsmith?"

"Most of the things I create, be it of magical metals, or simple iron, do seem to be a cut above the rest." I nod slowly.

"That's incredible! Here in Astria we only have a single person that is capable of enchanting weaponry!" The harpy grins. "So, what would you say is your favorite thing you created?"

"Well... I once made a set of rings that multiply magical potency by about eighty times."

The harpy misses a step and nearly trips, her head snaps back to look at me as she lets out a quiet squawk. "W-What?!"

"But I would say my favorite creation was a sentient sword that could transform into a humanoid form."

"…"

The harpy is staring at me in total shock. "A-Are you... just messing with me?"

"No. I made both of those things." I shrug with a small smirk. "Of course, the first item, I had help with, and the second took me four months to finish... I was still a little inexperienced back then, so I could probably accomplish the same thing in a few days instead."

"Who... Who are you?" She weakly questions. "a human that skilled... surely I would have heard of you."

"Gaius... Gaius Decarabia... also don't assume I'm human."

"You're... not human?" The girl whispers.

"Nope. This is my true appearance, and yes, it does look very human-like, but I'm not a human."

"Then what are you?" The harpy questions.

"That, my friend, is a secret." I hum as I give the harpy an impish smile, covering my mouth with a single finger.

The harpy pouts slightly as we continue walking.

"So, what do you do here?" I eventually question. "Your spear looks extremely well made, you are a guard of some sort, right?"

"Oh! I'm the fourth captain of the Astrian guard! I've even got a platoon of harpies under me and everything!" The girl grins.

"Why is the fourth captain herself going out to meet newcomers?" I quietly mutter, causing the girl to look over her shoulder with a bright smile.

"Oh! No, don't misunderstand, you are a special case! We don't get many visitors during transit... even less are powerful wizards like yourself! The least I could do is greet you personally!"

I nod slowly as we eventually come to a forge, a sign with a hammer and anvil is atop the door.

Maggy's Bladeworks

"This is where I got my spear from! Maggy makes incredible weapons!"

I step over to the door and open it. "Thank you for leading me here, Claira."

"Oh, no problem." The harpy looks a little saddened for a moment before waving a wing. "I hope to see you around, Gaius."

"I hope to see you as well." I reply as I step through the door.

The sound of a bell ringing from above the door echoes throughout the front half of the store.

Well, that was some messy flirting...

"Be there is just a momunt!" A feminine voice echoes out from the back room.

There truly are no male harpies.

Sort of to be expected that she would immediately see me, attractive dude wizard who seems to be fairly powerful and instantly try to subtly ask to bear my children or find some sort of way to bind me to this city without truly offending me.

I cross my arms and wait, boredly scanning over the weaponry littering the wall.

There's quite a number of fairly interesting weaponry laying around, firstly there's a set of swords that look similar on a rack, each of them is a dual edged longsword of a deep reddish pink color, the handguard is T shaped with two little hooks pointed towards the sword's blade, in the center of the handguard is a yellow star.

Oh. A set of Starfury. Quite nice. I'll need two of those.

They are a type of blade that conjure falling stars when swung. They allow you to hit an enemy behind cover, quite unorthodox.

Starfury:

A blade forged within the sky city Astria from fallen stars and the mythical Aerialite ore, one of these blades can periodically be used to call down a star to smite your foes! Every single member of the harpy guards have one of these blades, typically transformed into spears, making them extremely dangerous as they can unleash a barrage of stars at a moment's notice.

Starbound Weapon: Once per minute a Starfury can be used to call down a pink star to attack foes, this star deals more damage than the blade itself to foes within 400 feet

Hardness 15

Health 30

Damage 1d8+2+Str*1.5

Star Damage: 2d8+10

I spy a slightly larger sword hung on the wall behind the counter. It is saber-like, with a row of jagged golden spikes along the sharp side, in the spiky C shaped handguard is another star, much like the earlier set of blades. An additional similarity to the earlier blades is the purple shade of the majority of the metal in the sword.

Starwrath... a better Starfury. Its description is mostly the same, it was simply enchanted further by a passing grand wizard... the enchantments themselves are what truly sets this blade apart from the rest of the weaponry in this shop.

Starwrath:

Grand Starbound Weapon: Once per round a Starwrath can be used to call down a pink star to attack foes, this star deals incredible damage to foes within 400 feet

Hardness 28

Health 150

Damage 6d8+20+Str*3

Star Damage: 12d8+60

All things considered... it's not a bad weapon. I'd say that it's easily on par with some of the Excalibur fragments... not quite at the level of Rapidly, Ruler, or Destruction, however.

I'll also need that for a side project so I'd really like to purchase it here and now.

There are a few suits of armor as well, nothing really attention grabbing, but-

My eyes snap to a single blade sat on a stand to the side of the room, it's certainly not a focal point, but it certainly is important to me.

It is blue in color, with a white band of metal around half way down the length of the blade, at the centermost part of the sword is a massive red gemstone shaped vaguely like a diamond.

Enchanted Sword:

A sword made by an ancient kingdom. A large portion of these blades were lost, but a fair few still remain as fairly impressive collectors' items. It is just a shame that none of these blades were ever truly that powerful.

Sword Beam: an Enchanted Sword can shoot a beam of magical power when the wielder slashes it, they can use this attack at will to strike foes within 100 feet. This attack deals damage equal to that of the sword's base damage.

Hardness 18

Health 48

Damage 2d8+10+Str*2

With that and a Starfury... I can make the first part of my weapon.

The first part of many.

The first step to my Ark of the Cosmos... and it isn't even the Biome Blade like I expected!

A woman steps out from the back room, wiping her soot covered hands, she has red hair tied up in braids and is very stocky looking. In addition she appears to barely reach four feet.

"Aye? What can I do for you laddie?" The woman asks in a thick Scottish accent.

A dwarf.

I sort of forgot Terraria had those.

"I'm here to buy some materials and some weaponry." I smile.

"You got coin?" The woman asks.

"Of course." I snort with a small nod. "I've also got some magical items if you are open to barter."

"Hn. Don't know about yah bartering, but I'll take yuh coin." The dwarf replies. "What can I get you."

"For weapons, I would like two of those smaller pinkish blades, then the larger one behind you, in addition I want that blade with the gemstone imbedded within it on that rack over there."

"Yeesh." The dwarf replies. "You sure you've got enough gold for that lad?"

"How much will it come out to?" I question slowly.

"Well, the Starfuries are the cheapest, I'll sell em' for about tew gold each, that blade over tha' is next, it's a collector's item, so I'll have ta' upcharge you. Fifteen gold. Finally, this beaut back here's one of my finest works. Eighty gold. In total tha' comes out to ninety nine gold."

I reach into my bag and place a large silvery coin on the table, it's not silver of course, it's far more expensive.

"Oh? A platinum? Well lad. Your pockets are deep." The dwarf mutters.

With a wave of my hand the four swords float off their racks and teleport into my dimension storage.

"One of them spellcasters?! At ye age? Well, now I've seen everythin'!"

"Do you have any spare Aerialite bars to sell?" I ask slowly. "I've got more gold if the rest of the platinum won't cover it.

"Don't worry lad, your coin'll cover it. How many do yah need?"

"I was thinking about... ten? Ten should do it."

"Anythin else?" The dwarf questions.

"Do you perchance have any hellstone bars?"

"Hellstone?" The woman blinks owlishly. "Aye, I've got a few. I'll be forced to charge ye extra cause those are pretty rare up here... and the fifty-remaining silver on your platinum won't cover it if ye want more than one."

"Oh? So, you do have it. That's good. Now I don't' have to take a trip to the underworld. How many do you have on hand?" I ask as I pull a coin pouch from my dimensional storage.

"Only eight bars. Each'll cost you about fifty silver though."

"Oh that's easy." I note as I drop three gold coins on the table, then grab a separate bag of silver coins and place it gently on the countertop. "Thank you for saving me so much time."

"No problem, lad, let me go get your bars."

She turns and waddles out of the room.

It is a short wait, but eventually she returns with a clanking sack of metal that looks fairly heavy.

"Here ye are." The states as she roughly drops it on the countertop, creating a dull thud.

"Thank you." Smile kindly while giving the woman a small nod as I pick up the sack.

"Can I ask why you need so many materials, lad?"

"Oh? I'm a weaponsmith as well... I'm currently trying to create an incredible weapon and I needed these materials to truly perfect my designs."

"Ah, I see. Well I wish ye luck. If you ever need anythin else, please come back ta Maggy's Bladeworks."

"I will. Thank you."

"Thank ye for your patronage." The dwarf smiles as she scrapes the coins off the table and into her hand.

I turn and with a single step, walk through a dimension door that appears in front of me.
