1 Where The What The Heck...

Darkness.

Cold, dark and dank. The sounds of water dripping from the ceiling could be heard echoing into the distance. A heavy smell of moss drifted though the air.

A young man awakes in the middle of what seems to be a cave. An excruciating headache seems to be hammering him consistently from the moment his conciousness got back to him.

'Where in the world am i?' though the young man and he sat up.

He stood up while looking around, clearly still in a daze, but all that he saw was darkness and rocks extending far into the horizon.

This young man's name was Alex. Truth to be told, he had no idea how he even ended up here. The last memory he has was about sitting being at home and watching the latest show on Netflix, Naked Director. It would seem that all memory past the scenes where the main actress kuroki started getting it on with the director was just a blank to him.

Why, what and how on earth was he doing in the middle of a subterranean cave all the sudden?

"Where in the world am I? How the fuck did I get here? God fucking dammit what is..." A frustrated Adam was just starting to go off on the obsurdity of his current situation when suddenly he was cut short.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" a sharp screams of a girl echoed through the caves suddenly catching Adam by suprise.

"There is someone else here..." Adam said to himself.

Common sense and horror movies have told Adam time and time again that suddenly spearing in the middle of nowhere and running towards the souce of the scream is a bad idea. I mean seriously, what do you expect to find?

However, seeing that he doesn't even know where he is and how he got here, trying to sneak his way there would definately help him learn more about his predicament.

With that in mind, Adam decided that the only thing he can do is try to move towards the souce of the sound. If it turns out to be bad, he can always skidadale. Nobody is going to know he chicken out anyways. But if he could help, he doesn't see why not.

However, before heading off, perhaps the smarter thing to do was to look around and get anything that could be use for self defence. A weapon.

Scaning the vast room he was currently in, he notice 1 single entrance to the front and a small pool of stagement water to the side. There were loose stones stones on the floor.

Seeing that there isn't anything good for him to use, all he could do was to move forwards with fingers crossed that he doesn't die in the process.

The corridor was narrow. There are torches placed along the wall, some lighted, some not, as if it was an old underground ruin that has recently been explored by outsiders. Seeing the sight infront of him, Adam became even more baffled.

"Where in the world am I...." Adam thought.

He has never seen nor heard of any underground cave ruins nearby where he stayed back in Melaka. The closest this place would look like would be the underground parking lot in his local mall at Ayer Keroh, One Utama shopping mall. However even that is lined up with electrical lights and not flaming torches.

"Maybe its just hari raya and the decor department decided to go extra" Adam tried to reason.

But as soon as he though about it, he realise it was absurb. First of all, parking lots aren't this narrow. Second of all, if so, why in the world is there a random girl shouting as if in pain comming from god knows where?

As Adam though about all this, he kept moving foward and not long after, he reached a T junction.

"Where to now?" Adam deliberated.

There were strange markings on the wall at each direction, neither of which seems to give any indication of where he needs to go. A strong smell of piss waffled in the air seeming to originate from the path on his left.

Just as he was at a lost to where he is supose to go, he suddenly heard some strange noise originating from the tunnel to his right seemingly walking towards him.

"hak nampar ak pompuan reka angkap adi? " One of the voices said.

" elum agi!" the other voice replied.

As the voices draw nearer, Adam decides to hid behind the wall to get a clearer glimps on the owners of said voice speaking in God knows what gibberish before deciding on his next course of action.

"uk uk uk, unggu kau, esti best anti! " the first voice sounded again as it grew louder.

Bullets of sweat start trickling down Adams face as he though about what he was going to do.

On one hand, his could be his kidnappers. Catching one by surprise and rough housing the other might prove to be a good way to get crucial information on where and why is he here.

On the other hand, he doesn't know how big these dudes are so surprising one and rough housing the other might just end up with him getting beaten up.

Worst still, even if he manage to beat them up, they seem to be speaking in God knows what language albiet it seemingly sounds familiar to his ear. He just can put his finger at what it actually is.

But that is a matter to think about AFTER he subdue the two. That is if he even manages as mentioned previously.

"Get away from me! HELPPPPPPP!" A scream from the same voice was heard originating from the left tunnel.

It would seem that he has found the direction he has to be heading towards but knowing the voices are not far away, running down the left tunnel would expose him to his potential kidnappers.

That is something he cannot risk.

"Ek ek ek, uaranya erdu ungguh. Eah esti antik an?" The second voice sounded as it grew nearer to where Adam was.

Dup dup! Dup dup!

Adams heart beated faster and faster as the voices grew louder. His mind raced to figure out what he could possibly do.

The two voices continued their discussion as they move closer and closer to the junction where Adam was to the point that Adam could hear their footsteps approaching.

In the corner of his eyes, he starts seeing the shadow of two humanoid things moving towards the center of the junction.

Adam gripped his right fist tightly in anticipation of what must be done while crossing his fingers on his left in hopes that they won't be to hard to deal with.
