The existence of cities inside the dungeon came into existence because of many reasons. Some people couldn't ascend to the higher floor and thus, chose to settle down on the same floor. Some people think cities as wonderful trading opportunities. The higher-ups on Earth even set many branches of their organisations on various floors of the dungeon.

But the city on the first floor can be said to be filled with pitiful existences. Those who choose to settle down on the first floor may not have any difficulties in surviving because they can teleport back to the Earth, in case of a beast tide. But these people have already lost their adventurous heart and now seek wealth and other opportunities to increase their strength.

Despite the lack of modern tools of construction fueled by electricity, the city had a very modern approach. The outskirts of the city were closed off by walls made of thick steel. The height of the floor reached up to 3 metres and a huge metal gate painted in red colour became the connector of the end of the walls covering the whole city in a circular formation.

When Raghav reached near the city, he suddenly sensed a strange odour from the metal gate itself. A realisation dawned on him. The gate wasn't painted in red colour, but it was coated with the blood of a poisonous beast, warding off many weak beasts of the dungeon.

Even though Raghav had many documents related to the dungeon regarding the monsters found, medicinal plants, respawn time of the beast, their reproduction rate, etc. He didn't purchase any document related to various cities as their infrastructure keeps on changing to cope up with the rising threat of the dungeon monsters.

"Hello, you look new around here. Is this your first time inside the dungeon?" One of the guards guarding the gate called out to Raghav.

"Yes, this is my first time inside the dungeon. Can this brother tell me about the procedures to enter the city?" Raghav flashed a smile.

Normally, when one exit the dungeon, they receive a dungeon card which is proof of their identity. The dungeon card also allows the Adventurer to enter many of the official competitions of the dungeon. But many sect disciples like Raghav didn't want to exit the dungeon without ascending some floors because of the first time reward given out by the dungeon.

The guards also knew that Raghav was a sect disciple of a prestigious sect by looking at his clothes and the insignia on his collars.

"This way brother. Do you have a particular destination in mind?" The guard smiled when he saw that Raghav was very approachable even if he was a sect disciple.

These people have not stepped out of the dungeon from the moment they entered. They also have their whole family inside the dungeon. If they had little knowledge about the rank and power of Raghav's sect, they wouldn't dare to talk so casually with him even if Raghav was approachable.

As the guard took Raghav inside the city, the other guards looked at their direction with a slight envy. They weren't envied of their fellow guard, but Raghav.

"Sigh, so lucky. Didn't those beauties also come from the same sect? How can there be such pretty beings on Earth? Maybe I should finally make a trip back to Earth." One of the guards sighed.

"Hmph, what do you people know. The sect with the same insignia has a thing for only allowing beauties inside their sect. Even though the kid may be handsome, don't envy him. He may have a woman's body with a man's face for all we know." A brawny man with a squarish face and thick beard spoke out.

"Chief!!"

Many guards saluted.

"Now, now. Go back to your positions." The chief looked at his subordinates and commanded.

Unknown to Raghav, he was already tagged as a 'mix breed' in the physical body by the guards.

The city itself was built in a magnificent manner. There were many buildings and hotels. An intricate piping structure was also laid underground. The roads were built with concrete and Raghav could also see many shops that are a common sight on Earth. Bakeries, Saloons, Toy Stores and many more. Heck, there was an adult toy store in a shady alley that Raghav passed by.

Even though it was night, the city was bustling with life. But Raghav could only sigh in a depressed manner when he saw some newborns in the arms of their mother or father.

The guard matched Raghav's vision and saw the same thing.

"Haha, Brother! Don't feel sad for them. Even though they have to ascend at least one floor before using the teleportation function of the dungeon, they have a slightly strong body than ordinary newborns on Earth. They also have a chance to awaken their spiritual roots by living inside the dungeon and eating the nutritional meat of the monsters." The guard laughed a little when he saw Raghav's depressed sigh.

Raghav shook his head and walked away with the guard.

"Even then, I don't believe in letting newborns shoulder the dreams of their parents."

The guard fell silent when he heard Raghav's words.

He sighed and quickly led Raghav to his destination.

"Here, this is the inn you were talking about." The guard spoke out as he saw the luxurious inn.

The building was almost 20 metres in height and had three floors. The outer body was made of a special wood found in the dungeon. This type of wood could beat bricks in toughness. Even the guard was slightly impressed by the sight.

The Fairy Wood.

This was one of the branch occupations of The Fairy Conglomerate owned by his sect.

"Thank you, brother. Take this as my appreciation." Raghav quickly passed a vial of medicine and walked inside without waiting for the response of the guard.

When the guard saw the vial of medicine, his expression was filled with shock. He quickly looked at his surroundings and hid the bottle of medicine before taking his leave.

The moment Raghav entered the inn, he was tackled by a grey shadow.

Thud

Raghav was caught by surprise and fell on the ground. He lightly smiled and had to pat the head of the sudden arrival in a helpless manner.

"Now, now. We just separated two days ago. Is there a need for such exaggeration." He smiled lightly as he looked at the beautiful girl hugging him tightly and burying her head into his chest.

"Hah, it is truly said– One doesn't know the value of a treasure until he loses it." A melodious voice spoke with a tinge of disdain.

Raghav looked at the new arrival.

"Hehe, Radhika, you sure look enticing in your casuals." The sudden comment turned the girl speechless.

"Eh- wai- What? Hmph, you are late you rogue. No amount of flattery will save you. Let's go, Deepika is waiting."
