*************

Scorching Rabbits, a common monster found on the first floor. Even though the name of the beast sounded extraordinary, it was just a species of red-furred rabbit with higher than usual body heat and a fire skill named Spark.

These rabbits had a fatal weakness. If these rabbits come into contact with anything cold, their body would get paralysed for some time. Of course, it wouldn't work if an Adventurer threw a block of ice towards the rabbit to paralyse the beast. That action would just gain the ire of the rabbit and get yourself burnt by the spark skill.

The nest of these monsters were the last stop of the group to gain XP points before they quickly headed off towards the Temple of Ascension.

After their slaughter of defenceless and helpless Rabbit, Anmol and Radhika reached level 2 while Deepika and Raghav were very close to levelling up.

The way the dungeon level system works is pretty easy even if it is compared to the modern games on Earth. Each level has a static XP value like 100 XP for level 1, 200 XP for level 2, 300 XP for level 3 and so on. Every time an adventurer kills a monster, it would receive 1% of the static XP designated to the monster. The received amount will be then showed by the dungeon in the form of percentage by which the XP bar was filled.

If an adventurer kills a higher levelled beast, the XP receiver will keep on increasing by one time by the difference between their levels.

Similarly, the XP receiver will get halved for the monsters that have smaller levels compared to the adventurer.

At this point in time, Raghav had filled his XP bar to 89% while Deepika was at 91%.

The group continued their journey without stopping. They were already short on time and wanted to reach the middle of the floor as quick as possible.

They were interrupted by quite a few Monsters that Raghav and Deepika gladly took care of. One of the monsters was a level 2 monster - Shock Hawk. Deepika gained a whopping 4% XP from that beast and her XP bar was filled till 98% and Raghav reached 93%.

There was only one way to reach a higher floor, that is by crossing the Temple of Ascension. Temple of Ascension of each floor is situated in the centre of each corresponding floor and every adventurer will have a chance to obtain their first class from their first Temple of Ascension.

While each ascension gives out skills or items, Temple of Ascension of every ten floors, starting from the first floor will give out rare items or skills. And if someone's potential is really strong, they could also get a rare class as their base class.

Usually, every core disciple and higher level disciple materials get some kind of rare class. Even some of the mortal Adventurers may get one of the strange classes.

The Temple of Ascension on the first floor is usually crowded on a daily basis and today was not an exception either.

"Well, there is still 15 minutes left before the temple opens up. We should already decide the order in which the Adventurers will enter."

A sect disciple in green uniform spoke out. The temple only opens up at 8 in the morning and closes at nine. So, the stronger ones usually have more privileges and they are able to enter the Temple earlier than others.

"I say, the three fairies from the Upbringing Sect are the strongest here. They should be the one to enter the Temple first."

A charming youth spoke with a gentlemanly aura. He passed a smile towards the three girls of the upbringing sect but his facial expression froze when he saw that they didn't even open their eyes to look at him.

"Of course, it is only natural." The disciple in green nodded as if it was natural. He didn't even mind the behaviour of the girls because he knew that the fairies of the Upbringing Sect have treated the outside world with cold indifference from the very start. It is a very rare occasion when a maiden from this sect decides to marry and there was no marriage since the massacre that took place 16 years ago.

Meanwhile, these girls were simply waiting for a certain youth to make an appearance. It was actually Raghav's idea.

"I will meet up with you guys in our city on the second floor. You should ascend without me, so that, others don't get to see my true identity."

Just before they reached the area of the temple, Raghav decided to break off from the group. While Deepika and Radhika wanted to oppose his decision, Anmol didn't speak and silently agreed with his decision.

"What do you care? Your skin isn't even real and if you take your wig off, nobody will be even able to recognise you." Radhika snorted as she persuaded him to ascend together.

Ascension from the floor could be done in a group as well. There was one disadvantage about this method though.

During every as ascension, an adventurer has an option to change classes or increase the level of their chosen class. If a group of people ascend together, the information about their class will be leaked to the others ascending together.

Even though some information about their Ability will be made public the moment they exit the dungeon, the information about the class was a whole different manner. Classes don't only benefit mortal adventurers, but it also helps Cultivators a lot.

Radhika still felt indignant and a little relieved after hearing his next sentence.

"No can do. My real face is only known to some people even inside the sect. You guys are able to resist me because of us living together since childhood but it will be difficult to live if the whole sect filled with the opposite gender looks at my face."

This wasn't Raghav being prideful of his looks. At a young age, he was almost taken by force by some old couples that included both male and female.

Except these three, his mother wasn't affected by his charm and neither his grandma. There were some more people that weren't affected inside the sect.

After a few more minutes, the order by which disciples and Adventurers would enter the Temple of Ascension was decided.

First to go was the group of the Upbringing sect. They were counted as one because they announced their decision to ascend in a group.

The second to go was a mortal Adventurer, his face had a triangle structure but his eyes were filled with warmth.

The third to enter the Temple was a group once again. It was the disciples from the same sect that wore the green uniform.

The fourth one to enter was the Cultivator that tried to impress Deepika and the two girls.

"Let's go. The temple has opened."

Deepika stood up and walked towards the pitch black temple that was shining blue colour.

The other two also stood up and followed Deepika. They quickly walked up the steps of the temple and stood in front of the gate.

The temple's structure was not very impressive. Instead, it looked like an ordinary temple with a small height and a dome-like ceiling. The runes etched on the surface of the pitch black temple also failed to make it stand out.

Deepika held Radhika's hand and Radhika held Anmol's hand. Before they touched the gate of the temple, they didn't forget to look towards a certain black-clothed man with healthy tanned skin. He was obviously Raghav, who was smiling towards them.

Tap

Deepika touched the temple's gates and it suddenly flung open towards the inside. A piercing golden light erupted from the entrance and the runes of the temple shined deep gold. Looking at this, Raghav's pupils shrunk as he had the same feeling from the temple as the evolution altar inside his body.

After a few moments, the light receded and the group of girls had disappeared.

'My turn.'

Even though it was easy to cut in line and ascend earlier than others before the temple is closed, it wasn't worth it. Nobody wanted to offend or ruin their relationship with strong people by not giving them face and taking their spot.

The second turn belonged the triangle-chin adventurer. He smiled and thanked the green uniform disciples before slowly walking towards the temple.

When everyone saw the adventurer walking at a slow pace, most of them instantly raged internally. There were hundreds of Adventurers coming here every day and the group of girls already took a minute. This Adventurer, on the other hand, was wasting time deliberately.

"Too slow." A calm voice followed by a black shadow emerged in the silent crowd and shot straight towards the temple.

The scene changed suddenly and nobody was prepared. Even the Adventurer was stunned as he saw the black shadow zoom past him.

"Not so fast. Quick Wind!" The adventurer immediately used his ability and a small hollow bone emerged from the back of his elbows. A swift wind burst out from the tube-like bones and the triangle-faced adventurer immediately chased after the black shadow.

Everyone was finally able to see the black shadow. The culprit had a figure of a male and was wearing a black shirt and black pants. Instead of boots, a pair of black sandals were utilised and a black mask with a 'troll emoji' face on the surface covered the face of the culprit.

When everyone looked at the troll emoji mask, they felt a little strange and the Adventurer raged even more.

Alas, he was caught by a surprise and the culprit was still faster than him.

With his expression filled with rage and humiliation, the Adventurer saw the culprit touching the gate of the temple.

Raghav found himself in a golden world as he once again saw the notifications from the Dungeon

<Select the class you want to equip>

<First Option: Mage>

<Second Opinion: Warrior>

<Third Option: Combat Mage>

<Fourth Option: Sword Disciple>

It was quite rare to have rare classes like sword disciple. Before he could check out the information of each class, a very familiar light flashed from his body and the notification of the dungeon underwent some changes.
