First Pet

The first floor of the dungeon is categorised as one of the hardest floors by regular adventurers. But this opinion is only held by regular civilians.

This is because of the fact that the body of a human is inherently weak. Even if the UHF took some measures by allowing all the civilians to practice the basic body strengthening technique of cultivation sects, there was only slight improvement.

As compared to the normal public, the disciples of cultivation sects feel very different about the first floor of the dungeon.

Easy!

Walk in a park!

Such is the description of the first floor by most of the cultivators. There maybe some special places on the first floor that could be considered a challenge for the Cultivators but it is only considered a 'challenge' and not a 'threat'.

Raghav himself was feeling the same thing.

His hands behind his hand, with a low humming, Raghav kept on walking with a carefree expression as a light-blue slime kept on following him while creating a *poik* *poik* sound whenever it jumped to move around.

Raghav took out a cell phone from his spatial ring to check his position every now and then.

After killing the venom ant, he didn't encounter any other monster. This caused him to feel a little depressed as he looked at the monster following him.

The moment he stopped, the Slime behind him stopped too.

He turned around and hesitated a little.

'Aw, what the hell!! This Slime is even showing the signs of intelligence. If not, why would it still follow the handsome me?'

Raghav thought for a moment before taking out a black box from his spatial ring.

He took out a black ball with silver ruins inscribed on its body. He hesitated again before using a pin to force out a drop of blood from his left thumb. He let the drop of blood fall on the black ball that was the size of a ping-pong ball. The moment his blood fell on the black ball, the silver inscriptions started to turn into a red colour and Raghav could feel the black ball radiating heat.

Slowly, the black ball turned into a liquid that quickly covered his right index finger. Raghav looked at his index finger that was covered with black liquid as red inscriptions kept on flashing on its body. Raghav admired the craftsmanship as he felt the heat still being radiated from the metallic liquid covering his finger.

He slowly used his qi energy to inspire the inscription on the metallic liquid. As his qi came into contact with the liquid, the inscription finally returned to the surface of his finger. Raghav eyed the Slime that was still facing him without making any sound.

"Sigh, little slime, oh little slime. I k ow that you have been attracted to this brother's face. So be an obedient monster and let me leave an imprint on your core."

He slowly moved towards the still slime and sat right in front of it. His finger slowly got near the slime as his finger finally touched its body.

The crimson inscription miraculously moved from his finger and covered the whole body of Slime.

Raghav looked with bated breath as the inscription started to condense and slowly made its way inside the translucent body of the slime.

This was the most critical moment!

Raghav crossed his fingers and saw the crimson inscription covering the dark-blue core of the slime.

The moment the inscription solidified, it vanished. Raghav instantly felt a wonderful connection between him and the cute slime in front of him.

'Success!'

Raghav laughed in his heart.

To every Cultivator, taming a monster was a very critical process. This was because the most important ingredient of this process is the essence blood of the cultivator.

Essence blood is the purest drops of blood that is collected inside the heart of every cultivator. These drops of blood can be slowly increased by continuous Cultivation. In theory, a Cultivator can have an unlimited supply of Essence Blood but its production requires very expensive herbs.

These conditions were even harsher for mortals as they have 2-3 drops of essence blood when they grow up as compared to 9-10 drops of essence blood when the disciple of the sect is eligible to enter the dungeon. The number of blood essence is even more if the sect disciple has a higher cultivation.

Suddenly, Raghav felt a little dizzy. He quickly took out a vial of light green liquid and quickly downed its content inside his mouth. He immediately felt a refreshing feeling.

The loss of essence blood is detrimental to every being. Even though the lost essence blood can be recovered, a high frequency of usage of essence blood may damage the foundations of the Cultivator's body permanently.

Raghav sat down cross-legged and slowly recuperated from his loss of essence blood.

But he hadn't even relaxed full yet when he heard the voice of the [system].
