“What?! He has an Area Card?!” Bolt who was Tan’s opponent reeled back in alarm, still, he commanded his two monsters to attack. He then summoned another monster—a high-level monster he had in his deck, a 9-star One-Horned Lion.

When the card was activated, a lion as big as a cow with a sharp horn on its forehead appeared before Bolt before roaring.
As soon as the One-Horned Lion appeared, its special ability was activated and a Servant Hyena, a 4-star monster with no special ability, was summoned. The hyena looked ugly and weak, but with the hyena joining the battlefield, Bolt currently had four monsters. His monsters rushed to attack Tan while Bolt continued firing his bolts.

The damage was reduced by the power of the Avatar's protection, allowing him to take only little damage compared to his HP. Tan quickly glanced at his HP.

After transforming into Avatar, his HP recovered back to full. The Avatar had 34,000 HP. Tan thought of one of his skills, Lifeline, as soon as he saw his HP …With his current HP, Lifeline was sure to allow him to take down the opponent, but he was surprised after trying to activate it.
“Lifeline!”
Nothing happened. Tan quickly checked his skills and realized that the skill was not there… Actually, none of his skills were there. Lifeline, Speed Boost, and Level Breaker were all gone.
Those skills were replaced with three skills that he was not aware of…Forest Wind, Greenleaf Redeemer, and Force of Nature.
“What are these…?” Tan frowned as he saw the skills. He had no other choice but to go with these as all of his cards were discarded to activate this Area Card; also, he could not draw any cards when he was in this form. He only had less than three minutes to defeat his opponent…
“Forest Wind!”
After the voice rang out, his seven arrows were suddenly covered with the sharp wind as they flew to the target without aiming. When the wind arrows came in contact with the target, the force of the storm emerged.

Sabre-Toothed Tiger, Fire Tiger, and Servant Hyena were immediately killed, leaving behind One-Horned Lion beside Bolt.
“Awesome…” Tan said to himself. Pleased, he turned to Bolt and One-Horned Lion. From now on it was… ‘Tanthai Revenge Time…!’
He read the description of his next skill as he activated it. Seven arrows entwined themselves into one sharp arrow and then...were sent flying out.
“Force of Nature!”
The arrow darted through the air and shot at Bolt’s body. The force of the storm emerged again after the arrow hit the target. A storm appeared around Bolt and his One-Horned Lion that stood nearby. The storm caused severe and continuous damage which he could not handle.

After the storm disappeared, Tan was transformed back to his normal self. It was not because his three minutes had run out, but it was because the battle had ended and the deck he used was swapped back to Blanche.
“Master Tan,” A soft voice sounded in his ears. “Why did you choose such a troublesome Job? Do you like to be in trouble, Master?” Eize who now returned to her master asked.
Tan simpered and replied. His answer made Eize frown. “I went for the random option…”
Cheering filled the air. The crowd got excited after witnessing such an impressive battle. They liked the feeling they were experiencing now, and Tan gave them even more excitement...with the Area Card.
“It will be tough for players without any Area Cards to fight with those who have. I can’t imagine how I could fight against those who have their extra slots filled with Area Cards,” Tan said as he waved to the crowd and returned to Nicki and Blache.
“Do you want to permanently swap decks with me? I saw you did an impressive job there,” Blanche was being sarcastic.
Tan immediately turned to his friend. “No way, if the Area Card hadn’t shown up, I would be dead by now,” he muttered. “I don’t know what’s yet to come. There must be plenty of options to randomly appear since I’ve advanced to the higher level of my Job. I think I have to practice using your decks,” Tan said and heaved a long sigh.
Blanche nodded to that, but Nicki…was focused only on the battlefield. She even walked into the field before the judge told her to.
“The bear guy is screwed…” Tan mentioned as he saw the expression on Nicki’s face.
Her opponent finally stood before her. The judge was about to shout out their names when something suddenly happened. Something that made everyone...react with surprise and chaos almost instantly followed.
The system’s voice announced to everyone in Caldia…
Level 185, 19-star, ancient iron giant, Giant Baron has appeared. Players who are killed by Giant Baron will lose 10 levels as well as cannot log in to the game for two hours, and a 9-star or above card will be randomly destroyed.
After the voice rang out, an enormous shadow covered the colosseum. It was a shadow of a giant that stood around 230 feet tall and was made of black iron. Its huge and heavy feet crushed the buildings in Caldia as it walked. Red eyes that belonged to the black giant made everyone terrified as they started to scream…
“Eternal Blast!” The iron giant raised both of its hands together and used its move to attack people in the colosseum.
“Watch out!” When Nicki saw that, she grabbed her opponent's collar and dragged him away. Tan and Blanche prepared to run for their lives. The system stated that everyone was now entering battle mode. Seven cards were drawn to the trio’s hands, but they seemed to be unable to do anything against the monster.

Giant Baron’s attack was wide-ranged and powerful. It used the move just three times, and hundreds of fighters and audiences in the colosseum were executed. Hundreds of cards flew into the sky and scattered to pieces…
“Nicki…! What the hell is this monster?!” Tan asked hurriedly.
“I don’t know…! This is the first time I saw this. What the hell is this? Why is it so powerful?!” Nicki shouted at Tan who hid not far from her. The surrounding was too loud, so she had to shout.
“What do we do?!” Blanche asked loudly as the iron giant stomped its feet on the colosseum, causing it to start to collapse.
“Run outside!” Nicki exclaimed. “We cannot stay here!”
The trio nodded to each other and ran outside of the colosseum as the girl told them to. The big guy that Nicki previously saved his life was still in shock. “Follow me, Bald Bear!” She called for him.
They dodged the wreckage pieces that fell and found themselves at the exit. After leaving the colosseum, they looked back and saw that the colosseum of Caldia was now gone, leaving only remains of the ruins and the bodies of people that had been dismembered by the giant. After the colosseum was destroyed, the giant turned to the tower north of the city where numerous monsters were living inside.
The iron giant swung its right arm to the tower and destroyed it. Countless numbers of monsters in the tower scattered around the city, forcing many players to deal with them. It seemed like they could take the monsters under their control, but it was then that a group of monsters flew towards Tan and his friends. The system then announced that the trio was under attack.
The enormous iron giant turned its attention towards Caldia Castle. Tan and his friends were on the main street which led to the castle…
Tan had decided to do something even though he knew it was bigger than him…When he made his decision, the wings of crystal would have flown toward the sky...
