It was noon when the group docked on solid ground with three tense faces. The whale remained indifferent as always; he had meticulously chosen the route and the landing site. From there, they could see the dense forest, but it was about ten kilometers inland from the coast. Between the sea and the forest, there was a deserted region covered in fine sand, like a desert.
