Bending The Rules

In the late afternoon, the whale and Ruri flew through the forest, observing the skies completely covered by dark clouds. With every meter toward the depths of the forest, both felt a growing sense of ominous foreboding. It was an irrational premonition, but they both felt it.

They moved quickly, yet cautiously. In the forest, there were demon beasts in the Body Destruction Realm; they could attack at any moment. Although they didn't pose a direct threat, they needed to remain vigilant. Adding to the uncertainty of what awaited them, they forced themselves to stay calm and alert.
