Chapter 1: Transmigration

Alex, a 21-year-old college student, was engrossed in the latest chapters of "Dual Cultivation" on his mobile phone as he walked back from his evening classes. The city streets were bustling with activity, but Alex's attention was entirely captured by the vivid descriptions of Su Yang's exploits. His face often broke into a perverted grin as he read the more risqué parts of the novel, and he chuckled quietly to himself, thoroughly entertained.

The sun had set, casting long shadows across the pavement, and the streetlights flickered on one by one. Alex's phone screen illuminated his face as he continued reading, oblivious to the world around him. He was so absorbed in the story that he didn't notice the crosswalk signal had changed to red as he approached the intersection.

At that moment, a loud honk pierced through the air, snapping Alex out of his trance. He looked up to see a young girl, no older than ten, frozen in the middle of the street, her eyes wide with terror as a speeding car barreled toward her. Without thinking, Alex's instincts kicked in. He dropped his phone and sprinted toward the girl, adrenaline surging through his veins.

The driver slammed on the brakes, but it was clear the car wouldn't stop in time. Alex reached the girl, pushing her out of the car's path with all his strength. The girl stumbled and fell to the side of the road, safe from harm. Alex, however, wasn't as fortunate. The car hit him with a sickening thud, and he was thrown several feet before landing heavily on the pavement.

As the world around him faded to black, Alex's thoughts drifted back to the novel he had been reading. He wondered about the novel he was reading and a complaint couldn't help but come to his mind about the protagonist Su Yang dual cultivating with basically any random woman in the novel and while he was in favor of having Milfs, he always thought that most of the guys in the story didn't deserved to be get cheated on, such as the father of Lian Li and many more.

Alex dissuaded these complaints with a bittersweet smile played on his lips as he took his last breath, comforted by the knowledge that he had saved a life, even if it meant sacrificing his own.

Darkness surrounded his eyes as his consciousness drifted away into the eternal slumber...or so he thought.

On a stage that was made of polished stone, intricately carved with symbols and patterns that shimmered faintly in the fading daylight. Surrounding the stage was a spacious arena lined with tiered seating, where dozens of disciples had gathered to witness the duel between two disciples.

Their were loud cheering for one of the disciple while not a single bug supporting the other. The reason for this was pretty simple, the audience already knew the results that would unfold at the end of this duel.

On one side was a 3rd Elementary Spirit Realm Cultivator, while on the other side was a 3rd Elementary spirit cultivator, and if that wasn't enough to explain the one sided support of the audience then, adding the fact that the 3rd Elementary Spirit Cultivator was known as a talentless and had mental issues was perfectly justifying the one sided support of the audience.

The duel had reached its conclusion as the 3rd Elementary Spirit Realm cultivator was stabbed right through his chest by the 6th Elementary Spirit Realm Cultivator.

The 6th Elementary Spirit Realm Cultivator named Yan Ming spoke in annoyance,

"Tsk, I narrowly missed his heart."

The 3rd Elementary Spirit Realm Cultivator in front of Yan Ming opened his eyes and had a pained expression on his face.

Alex's Pov

As soon as I closed my eyes, ready to fall into the slumber of death a painful sensation came from my chest.

'Did my chest also got damaged to the point that even the pain was delayed? No, something feels weird. Am I standing?'

Opening my eyes, which required a lot of effort, I look at the source of pain, my chest, only to see a fucking blade in my chest!!!

Looking at the wielder of the blade, I see a chinese young man, looking at me with a look of disdain and he opened his mouth and spoke with annoyance, "Tsk, I narrowly missed his heart".

The fucking nerve of this bastard.

I was very angry right now, but the feeling of pain instantly overshadowed the anger.

'Is this even real?' I wondered.

'No, it doesn't matter whether it is real or not. All I want right now is to reduce this fucking pain.'

Feeling my legs, I tried to muster my strength and planned to move backwards but suddenly that son of a bitch twisted the sword causing more pain in my chest.

"Fuck!!!" I cursed due to the pain. This was the first time I shouted as my body was too numb to scream at the sudden pain previously.

'I need to get away from this bastard!!'

I put all my strength into my legs this time and pushed backwards with all my strength and finally the pulled away my body from the sword. But a sudden feeling of emptiness came from my chest as I looked down again only to find out blood gushing out from my chest.

'I need to stop the blood from flowing out.' 

I placed my hands on my chest and pressed them hard to not let any blood escape but it hurt a lot.

The guy with the sword laughed at me and spoke, "That's what you get for eyeing on the girl who I like."

'Shit, I will die at this rate, I don't care whether it's a dream or not, the pain I feel is hurting the shit out of me and looking at this bastard, he won't be making my it any less painful.'

'What did I even do to suffer this pain, I just fucking died saving a girl I never knew, while I wasn't expecting the gates of heaven to open for me but at the very least I certainly didn't expect to have this experience I am having now.'

Looking around in hope to find help, I see a lot of people surrounding us.

'Great! With so many people around, someone will surely help me!.'

Just as I was about to shout for help, I stopped watching their expressions...they were laughing?

'What the fuck is wrong with them?' Then for the first time a guy shouted with a cheerful expression on his face, asking the sword guy to cut my body into small pieces and the nearby people cheering on enthusiastically.

'What the hell is wrong with these people? Wait a minute....a chinese guy with a sword?....Sadistic people laughing at the sight of someone dying?....ancient chinese clothes?

'No! No! No! No! No!....this can't be happening. Did I transmigrate into a fucking cultivation world?

No, calm down. It might not be a cultivation world as I there wasn't any energy attack earlier.'

Just as I spoke these words to calm myself down, the guy with the sword spoke again, "Do you regret it now, you mental bastard? Well, too late for that, I will kill you now."

Saying so he slowly started to move towards me with the sword drenched with my blood in his hands and the sword got covered with a weird pink energy.

'Fuck me sideways! I just had to jinx myself! This is actually a fucking cultivation world!'

Suddenly I found myself losing my consciousness due to both anxiety felt by the revelation of the type of world this is and also due to the fact that blood was flowing out from my chest.

'I don't want to die this way, but if it's a cultivation world then I might as well die here. Since seeing that this body lost to what looks like a mob character, I would probably die sooner or later without any power.'

'Hmm? the world is getting darker? I am going to die again huh.'

'My eyelids are getting heavier and the pain I was feeling is getting lighter, I can't feel my legs anymore too.'

Just as I was about to fully close my eyes and wait for my certain second death, the scenery from the front of my changed from the sword guy walking towards me to that of an endless dark place.

I looked around only to find out that I was floating in middle of nowhere?

'The fuck is happening today?'

Here I was, kneeling on the ground and seeing the sword guy moving towards me, only about ten steps left. The old man was Elder Sun and he was also the grandfather of one of the main female characters of this novel.

Elder Sun asked me my name to which I replied with a small smile,

"Su Yang"

After nodding at me he picked up the sword guy and took him away.

'I guess, I should just go back to my living quarters and figure things out and also need to get out of this whorehouse.'
