10 Her Decision!

"What do you mean, mommy, that you can not let me live?" Phate asked his mother in wonder.

"I mean, I can not let you live here with me; it will only hold you back. I think a dual cultivation sect would be better for you!" She said Hera was saddened by her words, but she knew this was for the good of him and his future.

"Mommy, I thought I would stay with you forever, but you're chasing me away. Why?" He questioned her; he grew up in misery and suffering from the moment his adoptive grandmother died and left him in the world.

He craved familiar love, but now he found his true mother. She was saying he should go to a sect where bullies, the kind of those who nearly killed him, loomed.

He felt not loved!

Feeling all the emotional turmoil he was going through, she hugged him; even though he was still naked, they did not have any problem with it.

Pure familiar love!

"It's not like I don't want to be with you that I am asking you to go away, but because I want the best for you. My sect can not help you to the fullest, given your physique, and the demands for cultivation partners will keep increasing. I have limited disciples here, and I don't know if they're even willing to be your cultivation partners, as they have a long way to go.

"The dual cultivation sects, in comparison, have anything you would want, which will help you get experience in many things. You will meet many beauties too. And remember, you have to get strong by yourself as the time will come when you can no longer be under my wings, maybe after I suddenly die?" She said to him.

He immediately shook his head, "Mommy would never die!" He rejected her words.

"You never know, son; there are many dangerous things in the world, so it is not guaranteed that I cannot die." She said.

"You will not die. am going to make sure of that!" He declared, pulling away from her embrace.

"Are you sure? You're too weak to guarantee my safety," She felt disgusted with herself for pushing her son, but she had no choice; there was no way she could cultivate his high potential by keeping him under her.

"Then I am going to the dual cultivation sect!" he affirmed.

Hera felt sorry for him, and he was just too innocent and pure for this dangerous world; if the Goddess did nothing to help him grow, she feared he would fall victim to schemes.

He was strong-willed and not to be swayed by worldly things if he decided so, but that same thing would dig his grave!

The Goddess knew that, too, and had a solution for it.

____

"Are you done that soon?" The Ice Goddess asked in surprise, Shehe had shared her knowledge but all of it with him. It would have taken him a week to absorb all the information, but it took him half a day!

"Yes, Mother, I am done," Even his demeanor changed after he no longer called her mommy. Although she missed it, she also liked his new behavior.

It was as if he had gone through hundreds of years of stimulation.

He stood up and went to the wardrobe, picking up simple, long black pants and a white shirt. He put them on and looked at the two women with a big smile.

Phate felt a lot of power coursing through him, and he was just a one-stage cultivator when he came here, just slightly more powerful than an ordinary person.

But he had suddenly jumped levels to a Spiritual lord. He clenched his fists, and he felt full of power as if he could level a mountain down with just a punch.

He looked at the women and wondered, with how powerful they were, how they felt if he, a spiritual Lord, felt like this. Ultimately, he had something to say...

"How do I look, Mother, Hera?" he asked them.

"My son looks amazing as always!" The ice Goddess praised him with a big smile. Hera just rolled he eyes. She witnessed the talkative ice Goddess for the first time since Phate came here.

"Thank you, Mother," he went as he sat back at the edge of the bed with his mother.

"You did not tell me about the Ice Legacy, Phate," She held his hand in her palms. She could feel the coldness coming out of them resonating with hers, not because the Ice Legacy had anything to do with her but because she was his mother. It recognizes her as a family!

"All I know, Mother, is that it was something the Ice Deity found by chance and formed a contract to help her reach the highest peak, and in return, she had to help it find a potential master.

"However, no matter how they traveled, they could not find any. The Ice Deity was poisoned with a fatal poison and faced an inevitable doom.

"It said after The Ice Deity let it go since it now had enough power to look for a master by itself. It was found by many, but they were all unworthy and later died until you found it!" he explained.

Surprised by his words, they knew of the Ice Deity in legends, who most thought was just a myth, but that was for later.

From his explanation, they now understood two things: the Ice Legacy was sentient, and two, the reason for the death of every genius who tried to get the Ice Legacy.

Since it would only accept those under 18, the goddess did not try to take it for herself and did not give it to her disciples as she knew the results; they would have died instantaneously.

"Since it refused all those, why did it accept you as her master and not a mutual contract as it was with the Ice Deity?" Hera asked but later regretted doing so at the hot glare of the Goddess.

"Come on, Mom, she did not mean any harm," he said. She listened, "I don't know why, too, as it did not say the reason, and before you ask, of the seven Ice, I can only use my innate Golden purifying Ice and the white Ice, whose abilities are no different from the usual white ice element. I will unlock more if I fulfill certain conditions I don't know as I raise my cultivation!" he said.

"Have you decided on which sect you're going to?" The Goddess did not comment on this and just asked which sect he wanted to join.

"Yes, mother..."
