Chapter 24-The auction

Miss Ai looked at the attacks heading her way and spoke with a smile.

"Pathetic ants!"

She used her second hand and she gently waved with her steel fan just using her wrist. This created a torrent of wind that blew all the attacks to the side and against the side wall of the cave.

Elder Ho spoke visible shaken. "Y-You, you monster. You achieved an Emperor. H-How? W-When?"

Miss Ai giggled and shortly she spoke. "Hyakki Yako!"

The moment she spoke those words mass of demons of all shapes and sizes started to fly out off the now finished mystical circle straight towards the three elders.

Miss AI stood up and turned to me, she didn't even turn for a second to look if the three of them are dead, she was sure of it that her technique will obliterate them.

She stopped walking right above me and spoke to still shocked me.

"So, Fen, I see you are working on assassination jobs and judging by who was trying to kill you it was not the first time, and also, I think I know a name under which you worked. Why did you kept it secret from me?" She spoke sounding disappointed.

I lowered my head and spoke. "I am sorry miss Ai. I wanted to surprise you so I didn't tell you that I am Dusk."

She smiled and spoke. "It's fine I was just teasing a little. How did you kill them? I am sure you didn't used your polearm."

I shook my head and spoke. "No, I have second martial art that I also pursue. It uses this."

As I spoke, I used my technique and created my daggers.

She smiled. "That's more to my tastes." She stopped talking and quickly glanced back at the aftermath of her technique, all what was there now was three partly eaten bodies torn to shreds, unrecognizable. "Despite how this little technique looks I prefer to be subtle with my killing. I was just pissed off at them so I wanted to went a little steam so I used the Night Parade of One Hundred Demons. But that technique of yours looks nice you should spar with me sometimes I want to see you using those. What do you say?"

I chuckled and spoke. "Sure!"

As I spoke that I stood up and dusted off my clothes. As I was dusting off miss AI pulled something off of her ring and spoke.

"Here drink this! How did you end up here?"

I didn't argue and just grabbed the little bottle she was handing to me and drunk it. After that I spoke and explained what happened, including all the details why they were after me, including the part where I was tossed off of the cliff. We walked out of the cave as I talked.

"I see, no worries I will look into how they found you. They should not be able to do this. Somebody in my section must be a rat, and I will find them."

Anger visible on her face. After this we went to pickup Yuki. We explained what happened. She went though a roller-coaster of emotions, from happiness when she saw me, to surprise when she noticed miss AI, to worry and fear as we started talking about what happened and ultimately back to happiness once she heard how it ended. We had a nice chat and after that we started our journey back,

Me and Yuki, we headed towards the dark forest to keep up our charade and to earn some points and train while miss Ai went directly to sect. She gave me a new talisman.

She also explained why the barrier in the talisman is identical to the one she likes to use. The answer is actually very simple, she made the talisman so it is using her barrier.

We entered the forest and decided to stay there until we fill up our rings. Hunting was going pretty well. We used the lure, we cleared all the monster, we loaded the carcasses to our storage rings. Rinse and repeat. The only issue was that we had to stay far away from marked hunting grounds, since we used a lures and didn't want to involve other disciples in them. This caused that we always had 10-15 % of carcasses that we could not take since they were not on the list of monsters that were being bought out by the sect. Since sect was only buying the monster carcasses from marked hunting grounds and monsters that only lived outside of them were not bought.

Once we had all of our rings filled, we returned to the sect and submitted everything we got. I quickly turned in also my assassination contracts and I once again jumped to the front of monthly rankings. After that we let miss AI, Elder Luo and Hikari know that we are back and that we can have a dinner all together.

Everybody gladly accepted the idea. I wanted to make sure that nothing is going to get out so I also asked miss Ai once again to not mention anything about Dusk.

As the dinner started, we had a nice meal and both elder Luo and Miss spoke at once.

 ""There is going to be a auction ….."" They looked at each other and giggled. And spoke once again both at the same time.

"" Sorry, you speak first!"" Now both of them full on laughed and Elder gestured to the miss AI.

"Go ahead! You speak!"

She chuckled a bit and started to speak. "There is going to be an auction here in the sect in a month. It is going to be huge. Everything that the disciples gathered in sect submitted quests, everything created by sect artisans and some resources from dark forest cleaning is being auctioned off once a year. There is normally a lot of very good treasures in there. Do you want to come with me? You can go as disciple but if you come with me, you would have some advantages." She smiled and winked at me while she spoke.

Elder Luo spoke. "I wanted to offer you pretty much the same thing. You should take that offer; it would be very good for you to go."

I smiled and spoke. "But I don't have that much gold."

Both elders chuckled and miss AI spoke. "You only need resource points. Just save what you have and what you are going to get during the month. You should have a lot considering you shot to the top once again and you were first last month."

I nodded and spoke once again. "Ok than, thank you for the offer I will gladly accept it."

And so, the saving started. We spent as much time in dark forest during this time as possible. We only returned once we had full rings in order to offload, have nice dinner with elders and Hikari and a good sleep in our bed and then we went back.

I was once again able to win the monthly merit rankings getting the bonus resource points as a reward. After that we quickly took one more set of assassination contracts, this one was in Yin Sham which we completed without issues. After that we returned to submit everything and decided to wait for the auction to start.

We still had several days, so we spend those relaxing, dual cultivating and having few nice dinners with elders and Hikari. Those dinners became something of a tradition and we all were having a good time during those.

The day of the auction came. Miss Ai came to pick us up. She was wearing short qipao with a tight fit; it was of a black color with small silver stars and a huge red dragon as a decoration. When I opened the door and saw her, she took my breath away for a moment and I froze. She was perfect. I was brought back to the reality by her melodious giggle.

"I take you like what you see?" Miss Ai spoke with a smile on her face.

"You are gorgeous. I forgot to breath when I saw you!"

She chuckled and spoke. "Well, you also look handsome, very handsome!" She spoke as she not so subtly scanned my whole body while licking her lips. I was wearing jet black Yuanlingpao hanfu robe with golden details depicting eastern dragons.

"Anyway, where is Yuki?" She spoke as she gently shook her head.

"She is still preparing she should be here any moment."

As I finished speaking, we could hear sound of somebody going down the stairs, we both turned towards the source of the sound and what I saw once again took away my breath. Yuki was wearing beautiful silver and white Yukata, that fit her perfectly. She looked like a model. She descended the stairs and noticed that we stood their both without moving just looking at her intently.

She blushed and spoke. "Does it look weird? Hikari helped me to pick it up, I wanted to surprise you! I should go change!" As she turned and was about to go back, I woke up and spoke.

"Please don't! You are beautiful, I love it! You just took away my breath for a moment. I was speechless!"

She blushed heavily but a smile could be seen on her face together with the blush. She quickly grabbed one of my hands and pressed it in between her boobs.

"Let's go!"

Ai woke up from her momentary stupor and spoke. "Sure, let's go!" And did the same with my other hand.
