Take Two;

It was dark and cold. I obviously survived, but it was something I'd rather not go through again. After the fire burnt out, I quietly rolled into a little ball, covered my eyes and ears while waiting for an agonizingly long period of time before the purple streaks finally came in. Using the abysmal light I got from those streaks, I was able to mount the horse and started running towards the supreme commander.

Of course, it was not like I would get their by the end of today — even getting there in one month would honestly be a miracle. There was no way for me to use the ancestral shrines to get there quicker, since all the realms near the Jia's city is infected and currently on lockdown.

Of course, not ALL of the realms near the Jia's city is on lockdown — only the ones leading to it. The only way to get to the Jia's realm would be the bridge from the Caodi realm, which was one of the infected realms. Otherwise, you'd be going through a river; not just any river, but one of the only rivers in the entire east. Well, one of two rivers; it was also the much worse river compared to the other.

Well basically, in the east, there are two rivers. The 'clean' river and the 'dirty' river. The one separating the Jia's city and the rest of the east was a 10 meter wide river rapid with the occasional dead body floating in it. You know, the one that those slum dwellers were pissing, shitting and even dying in.

The clean river comes from the north to the east and goes to the south before passing through the capital's water canals and finally going back to the north where the water is then replaced. Everyone in the Shensheng Diguo may have seen the clean river as a saving grace of sorts, but I only saw it as a potential weapon. If we were allied with the north, we could easily drop dead bodies into the clean river, which will flow into the south where they drink if and die, before going to the capital, where hundreds of more millions die before finally going back to the north, where it would be diluted to the point of being harmless. Of course, the supreme commander must have thought about that as well.

The reason for them having to be allied with the north before poisoning would be the backlash from the other planes. If a bunch of people get sick and die, they'll be like, "hey North! Ur water's killing us!". Then they'll obviously sus the east and bam, ded. The west has their own water source. But it's not like the clean river can reach them in the first place. But if they're allied with the north, they can blame some random merchant on spreading disease.
