A Gourmet Brunch!

The following day, Donghai Lin woke early in the morning, and along with help from the servants and maids of his house, he prepared seven dishes for his family.

During breakfast time, his father, mother, and twin sisters came rushing to the dining hall.

The next instant, the four walked inside the entrance of the mess hall, their olfactory nerves were assaulted by the redolent smell of a mixture of various dishes that they had never smelled before.

"Woah, I like the ambrosial smell of today's breakfast!" Xuan Xuan said, exclaiming with delight, and they saw several dishes arranged orderly on the family's luxurious-looking wooden round table.

Donghai Lin, wearing all white rushed out and said with a jovial smile, "Good morning, Pa, Ma, and you two Sugar Boogers! Come-come. The brunch is all set."

"Dong Er, are you the one preparing all these?" Lin Han asked. And the other three also glanced at little Donghia Lin giving a curious look.

"Yep," Donghai Lin responded.

"Yipee! Today, I'm going to have something good. Hee-hee-hee." Lin Xuan, the playful one yelped, giggling. Then she dashed and jumped at Donghai Lin, and he caught her in the air.

Seeing that, jealousy sparked in Lin Chan's eyes and she also did the same saying, "Me too, Gege." Then she jumped toward Donghai Lin which he caught her too while laughing jovially.

"Chan Er, what are you doing stop copying me? Go away. It's too congested here." Lin Xuan, the playful one said, feeling dissatisfied as she was mesh between Donghai Lin and Lin Chan. Then she struggled to push her but the latter stuck to her like a koala bear on a tree.

"Nope, I'm not going anywhere. Remember, he is my Gege too!" Lin Chan, the cold one retorted. "Stop, trying to shake me off. Or else,"

"Or else, what?" Lin Xuan said briskly.

"I'm going to bite your little ear." Lin Chan responded and bit her left earlobe.

"Ouch-ouch-ouch. It hurts. Chan Er, are you a dog to bite me like that? Release my ear immediately." Lin Xuan shrieked in pain.

But the latter didn't comply with her screaming.

"Gege, help me poor Xuan Er is bitten by a little puppy." Lin Xuan pleaded with teary eyes.

Donghai Lin made a wry smile and said, "Alright, Chan Er, release Xuan Er's ear. That's not the right way to treat your sister."

Xuan Er's ear was spared from further biting only after Donghai Lin intervened.

After Donghai Lin placed the two on the floor, Xuan Er punched Chan Er to get back at her. But the latter blocked it and responded with a palm strike which the latter blocked with her palm. Then the two four-year-old girls began to fight.

Donghai Lin was about to stop them but he soon changed his mind when he saw the way they were fighting. Therefore, he even wiggled at his parents, gesturing them not to disturb the two.

For several minutes, the girls fought using various styles and they fought toe to toe.

'Hahaha… Is this a mere coincidence? Or just that they are good at these? It took me several years to master the crux of the inner essence within those 8 drunken styles doing oddities like riding a mare and other stuff. Whereas these two, I just taught them only the Sole lady immortal Hu Xiangu's style but they are able to exercise the other six styles perfectly even using them in a casual fight. What they did is just watch me and I have never seen them practicing?... Hmm, I should teach them properly this week before I leave this place.' Lin Donghai wondered as he had grown fond of the twins and they had grown over him as well.

At last, the two managed to land a strike each, forcing them to step back.

They glared at one another and panted heavily as they gasped for air.

In the midst of their short break, Donghai Lin entered and said in a serious tone, "That's enough. Both of you; no chicken nuggets for you two today."

The twin snorted at each other and then they ran toward Donghai Lin and folded their arms around his legs each. And Xuan Er, the playful one said, coaxing up to him with her childish sweet tone, "Sorry, Gege, we are just joking around. But please, not the chicken nuggets. This is the result of our sisters' love for each other and, of course, the love for our Gege, the greatest in the world. Don't you agree, Chan Er?"

"Of course, I agree with Xuan Er on this." Lin Chan responded, agreeing readily to Xuan Er.

"Hahahaha! That's good to hear then." Donghai Lin said, bursting into a peal of cheerful laughter.

Parents laughed along with him as if they were pleased to see their children's drama that ended with siblings' affection.

'I'm damn right. Master Long, there is no way such a good son will never go against his big brother. And I can bet on it with my own life.' Lin Han screamed in his head while beaming from ear to ear.

"Alright, since you two Sugar Boogers are so pleasing to my eyes and ears, I have apple pie pizza especially for you too." Donghai Lin yelled cheerfully and picked up the twin in each arm. He approached the round table and placed them in the nearby seats and he occupied the seat in between them as he didn't like them to cause another ruckus because of seating next to him.

Lin Han and Xuan Xuan smiled at each other and sauntered toward the dining round table, occupying the main seats as they always did.

There were eight colorful, appetizing dishes on the dish. The twin reached out their hands toward the extra-large apple pizza to grab a piece.

"Hold your horses, girls!" Donghai Lin said, stopping their hands in the air. Then he continued by presenting them with the eight dishes he remembered from his last life on Earth.

There are five dishes sets: Sweet and Sour Pork, Dim Sum, Peking Roasted Duck, Fried Rice, Kung Pao Chicken, Chow Mein, and Red Braised Pork Belly. And in addition, there was an extra-large Apple Pie Pizza and Cheesy Nachos.

Afterward, the family enjoyed a sumptuous meal of the day, and everything on the table was wiped clean completely as they frequently chit-chatted and indulged in heavy eating. Overeating was never an issue in this world since even the twin could eat a large cow with no problem because their metabolisms were different from those in Donghai Lin's previous life.

After the meal before they left the table, Lin Han said, "Dong Er, this is the biggest and most appetizing meal I have ever had in my entire life."

"I concur!" Xuan Xuan said, nodding while the twins nibbled on their braised pork slices.

"Alright, maybe this grand meal has something to tell us since you don't do this often, right?" Lin Han shot straight at him, already knowing about the deal between his father and his second son.

Donghai Lin glanced at his father meaningfully once and then he turned his attention to Xuan Xuan and said in a gentle tone, "Ma, I'm afraid to say this but I'm leaving the Lin Manor by next week."

"Heck no!" Xuan Xuan yelped at him without any second-guessing. "What did you mean by saying that you're leaving? I forbid you from even stepping out a single step, bypassing the line of our Lin family gate."

On hearing that, the twins dropped the food from their hands and pounced at him. Then the room was filled with the two sharp wailing voices of the twin sisters as they felt as if the world was turning upside down for them. They snuggled sitting over the each sides of his lap and Xuan Er, the playful one said while sobbing, "Please, don't go GEge. Xuan Er is wrong for fighting with Chan Er."

Whereas Chan Er, the cold one also began to bawl unlike her usual self while pleading with him rapidly to not leave them.

'Ah! What a drag?! This is becoming more arduous than I previously imagined. Now I think the spar with that Old Fogey was easier than trying to convince my Ma and these twins. And thank goodness, Pa is still acting calmly.' Donghai Lin pondered in his head.

"Xuan Er, Chan Er, don't worry. Gege is only leaving temporarily and I will come back soon bringing along with a lot of sweet things and I'll tell you all the escapades I'm going to encounter in my journey." Donghai Lin consoled them while padding their heads.

But they still continued to brawl and went to a gentle sleep as they were pretty exhausted physically from the earlier match between them and after having the heavy meal and hearing the news of Donghai Lin's departure mentally exhausted them. Therefore their system shuts off automatically, making them enter into a sound sleep.

Xuan Xuan tried to continue lecturing her son, "I…"

But Lin Han sitting beside him quickly stopped her, covering her mouth with his hand, and said, "Dong Er, I understand you."

And then he continued with a grin, "So, why don't you bring the twins to the bed while I'll try my best to convince your ma? Go on, lad."

His father's words were like sweet melodies in his ears as Donghai Lin was currently brainstorming in his head to come up with perfect sugar-coated words to convince her.

"Thanks, Pa, for the rescue!" Donghai Lin said, chuckling and then he bolted out of the mess hall while carrying the twins.

At that time, Xuan Xuan finally succeeded in removing the hand, covering her mouth and she yelled, "Wait! Where are you running off to? I still have more to say." But Donghai Lin kept going as if he didn't hear her.

"Xuan Er, that's enough." Lin Han said with a serious tone.

"Enough!? Humph, no, I have a lot more to give the piece of my mind to that unfilial son." Xuan Xuan screamed at him.

"And now, you're overreacting again. Alright, I'll tell you this only once, and if you're not convinced then do what you want." Lin Han responded and then he started explaining, patiently, "Xuan Er, this world is harsh and even the path of cultivation is even more arduous. We all do accept this fact, right?... Our Dong Er is a Dragon among humans. And if we let him stay here because of our selfishness then as a parent we are doing an injustice to our boy. Think about it."

Xuan Xuan was all docile and said after pondering for a while: "But he's just eight years old and he didn't have enough strength yet to just like leave the family."

"Hahaha… That's where you are wrong. Yesterday, I witness Dong Er beating my old man." Lin Han responded proudly while bursting into a burst of hearty laughter.

"Oh, Dong Er had beaten Father… Hmm, it must be father going easy on him."

"Wrong again. Father fought Dong Er using his everything. But still, he was beaten by Dong Er. So, I believe he will be all fine even if he leaves the manor." Lin Han corrected her and finally, he convinced her as even though there was still some dissatisfaction with that decision.
