Chapter 2

She was so seductive, her skin was glistening and pink, her voice unrecognizable. He had never seen her so, until now.

As he tried to take in all the emotions, Brian had given Irene five dosis of heat suppressant and now stood beside him.

"Are you OK? Can you handle this?" asked Brian. "I mean her... OMEGA heat... I know you Alphas can quite struggle with that."

"But she is a beta!" cried Elliot.

"I'm sorry, as I already have said, she is currently a omega. A Special one." Brian tried not to disclose too much, it was Irene's story.

"Take a seat in the kitchen, the effect of the suppressants should kick in in the next 5 Minutes."

The three young men sat a while quietly without saying a word. Elliott and Fred were sweating and feeling uncomfortable because of Irene's state. Brian was worried and nervous. All three could hear the sounds that Irene produced and it made the situation more and more awkward. No one dared to take a look. After what it seemed an eternity, the heat subsided until it was barely noticeable.

Brian stood up and tried to sound assertive "I'll go take care of Irene and you stay put. Not a word, not a sound, not a movement. Understood?"

The two Alphas nodded.

Brian took Irene in his arms and went with her in the bathroom, since she could barely walk.

Elliott rage acted up again, seeing his mate in the arms of someone else. Fred forced him to sit down and whispered:" it's not the right time. Wait until she ist ready. I'm sure she has an explanation".

Elliot glanced at the door, skeptic and hurt. Fred added "I can smell her pheromones and you can smell it too, she has not been marked and she has not mated with him".

Elliot had to admit that Fred was right.

That made him more hurt and sad. He knew that she was way out of Brian's league. She was so delicate and elegant and she has the demeanor of a Alpha although she was a beta. She was his perfect match.

"Why hasn't she said anything? We could have had a child on our own if she is a Omega. She always said that she was a Beta with a low fertily rate and she basically could not bear a child." Elliot paused and Fred looked at him with a look of pity. Then he continued :" Nick could have had a half sibling and I could have marked her as my Omega mate. I don't understand where the problem is."

Fred tried to console him.

" Maybe the problem lies by her and not by you. Haven't you heard what Brian said? He said she is special".

In that moment, Brian and Irene came out of the bathroom. Brian carried Irene in the living room and let her down on the sofa. Then approached Elliot and Fred. He was glad to see that Elliot ware more sad than angry.

He stated: "If we want to do this, we have to follow some rules. Irene is extremely vulnerable and in pain. You ask no questions or make comments, she does the talks. If you let you Alpha pheromones flare, I throw you out"

The two Alphas nodded, surprised by the dominant way of talking of the Omega.

All the three men sat down in the living room at a safe distance.

Irene glanced at Elliot with a drowsy and pained gaze.

Elliot broke down in tears. He loved her so much and she seemed so "broken" and fragile.

"What happened to you, Iri" he sobbed "I don't know you anymore, who are you?"

Irene looked at Brian, uncertain.

Brian tried to comfort her :"You know he deserves to know, Irene. He can help you and keep you safe. I cannot always be there and rescue you. You need help"

Irene's eyes tear up. She didn't want to tell Elliot the horrible things that she said and done. Or that Damien had done to her. She tried to buy time and calm down.

"Where is Nick?"

Elliot answered: " By our neighbour, Fred's wife why?"

Irene sighed: "It will be a long night. Can he stay there until morning?"

"Yeah, sure, I'll send here a message" said Fred, taking his phone out of his pocket.

Irene breathed slowly in and out and he gaze wandered in the room.

It took all the courage that she had to start telling her story. She was about to start, as the nausea chocked her words.

Brian knew that it was going to happen, she reacted badly every time she was forced to take the heat suppressants. He got quickly a bucket und helped her, while she threw up a few times.

Elliot and Fred stared at them, shocked. Normally a heat suppressant would make the persone feel better, not worse. Something was wrong.

After Irene's sickness was over, she caught a breath and began to speak.

"You are both right, I owe everyone an explanation.I was born a beta and lived as one until my 16th birthday. Currently I am an Omega, I have been one for about 8 years."

Elliott couldn't restrain himself and exploded:

"How is that possible, what the hell happened in between?"

Brian hissed: "No questions!"

Irene looked at Elliot with sad eyes.

"Damien happened."
