Ch-1 THIRST

Shaun wakes up feeling hungry. He has nothing to eat for two days. He went over to get some water, but to his dismay there was not a single drop in his pitcher. Thirsty, he went out to find some water. The roads are all deserted with the sun blazing hot. Shaun felt the sharp burning sensation in his skin, he wondered how that is possible? He is covered from head to toe with clothes and a blanket. He went further and found a shed in the old building.

Shaun dozed off! Suddenly his xenotap buzzed. It's a message from a company to buy fresh air at a discount of 25000 nyet a month. He sighed! A sense of disappointment and frustration rising in his heart. He threw away the xenotap in utter disgust.

Another day had passed without water, he felt like his whole body is burning. He is going mad, he would die of it, thought Shaun. Wait! What is it glowing blue in the corner? He ran towards it, a liquid oozing out and glimmering in the light of his broken xenotap. It was leaking from the broken display of his xenotap. He touched it; nothing happened. He licked it greedily. A tingling taste, he licked more of it. His lips started going numb. Shaun fainted.

Shaun couldn't remember for how much time he was fainted, It was already dark when he returned back to his senses. Shaun was roaming in the dark street of karolika when he noticed a light, he went towards it. It is coming from a uvan. Shaun wondered who might be in that uvan. He waited patiently in the dark shade of the building.

After waiting for hours, a plump man approached. He is covered from head to toe in a black dress. Shaun crept slowly in all four holding the knife in his mouth . Shaun positioned himself to jump He will get only one shot at it.

Shaun jumped and struck the knife at the heart of the stranger. The stranger falls down and without hesitating Shaun slits his throat. Blood gushes out of his body . Shaun hesitates and then dips his lips in the blood quenching his thirst. He felt bad, he had tried to eat his gadgets and clothes but could not, nothing would quench his thirst. Shaun thanked god and starts to collect the blood in a vessel.
